I first took everything out of the RV. I covered the floors with Ramboard, then removed the cabinets doors. Then I cleaned all the surfaces, just a wipe down and then sprayed all surfaces with bullseye primer. It really grips the paint. Then sprayed the ceiling with ceiling white. After that dried I sprayed the walls.
8:29 i like how you mounted the bedroom tv. wonder how dificult it was to tap the electric and run tru it.. cant find a video anywhere online.. any tips and advice?
You did an awesome job, it looks beautiful. We just purchased a 2019 Thor Majestic 23A and are trying to figure out how to mount a tv. It looks like you removed the grab handle for the bunk and mounted it there. How did you do that and what wall mount did you use?
There are screws hidden behind caps on the handle. Once I unscrewed the handle I mounted the swivel armed TV mount in its place. I figured if that area would be safe for the TV mount. I got it on Amazon 7 years ago.
This was great! If I may ask, did you buy this from a private party or Cruise America? I am thinking of getting one and doing exactly what you have....it looks beautiful by the way. Will you be making a video on the bathroom?
I did purchase from CruseAmerica in 2017. A few issues but nothing I couldn't overcome. If you plan on purchasing I recommend having an inspector come with you. It may cost a bit, but dave you a lot more. The bathroom is now complete. I didn't spray it as I had done the rest of the coach. What is too confining to spray it properly. So everything was handled. I will post pictures of the finished product with that also. If you have any questions as to how I set up what I did and how I did it feel free to contact me. I do have a list that I roughly went with that helped keep me on track of what needed to be done and when it needed to be done.
Sorry to get back to you so late. My Navigation system is a Garmin 770 but I also use CarPlay (JVC Radio) which is installed in the RV by Best Buy. I don't like it because it doesn't have a volume knob. It's touchscreen and (at least for me) requires me to take my attention off the road to change volume. I'm going to change it out later this year.
Do you feel this option was the best "bang for your buck" as opposed to buying something as close to your specs as possible with little if any remodeling/upgrades? What would you ballpark the total cost of this purchase and remodel? Great job BTW!
I paid around 37K 6 years ago for the Majestic and immediately started making improvements. We went back-and-forth for about a year on whether we wanted to take on the painting of the inside and decided that once I retired, it would be a great project to work on. As far as bang for the buck goes with all the improvements that I made I know where everything is and how it all works unlike the great unknown when you buy a used RV or even a new one from a dealership. And again, you have to remember that this was originally a rental, and they were built much tougher and stronger than your average RV because they were going to be on the road so much more than the average RV. For me, it was the right choice, for someone else, and maybe not
Hi Joe, I am about to do a renovation on my Majestic 28A as well. I was wondering how you put in this beautiful shower door and what is the make and model of that? Would you please be so kind and PM me with these info? I would highly appreciate your assistance.
Joerg, My Majestic is a 2013 and it came with the shower door that is in the photos and video. I would contact either Thor Motor coach, or Cruise America. I am guessing that you didn't purchase from Cruse America and the previous owner removed the shower door that came with the coach. Also on Facebook there is a group that is about all things Majestic. If you haven't already, check it out. Lots of good info and lots a great people.
@@shemeher3380 The Majestic series from Thor Motorcoach are built for the RV rental company CruseAmercia. The are basically a strip down (no frills) RV. After a CA RV gets about 100,000 miles they paint them with the Majestic badge clean them up, Service them and sell them. You can look at their website for more info on that. One thing to remember, yes, the CA RV's have high milage, these engines can go 300,000+ with normal maintenance. They are also build much more sturdy. The average RV goes out 4-8 times a year. CA RV's probably go out 40 times a year so hey are built to take it. For the most part, I have been very happy with mine.
@@joeyother7825 Just to confirm my understanding Chateau is the new model & the Majestic is the "refurbished" (if you will) model. Is that correct? What a bout the 4Winds I see that is the same floor plan as well. Any insight on that?

On my 28A there is a 120V receptacle right behind the TV, so it was easy. So it really just depends on where your receptacle is.
I had the power run to the bedroom by CW. There is a mounting plate in the bedroom where I have the TV mounted.
Lovely work! Where did you get the recliner chairs from?
Camping World

@@joeyother7825 thank you for replying so quickly. Was the mount you found able to use the existing holes from the grab handle?

Love this, there are not many videos like this that I can find and you did a great job. What size is the couch that you put in there?
It's a 70 inch from Camping World. I had them install also. Perfect fit. Glad you enjoyed it. Thank
Nice , what thermostat did you upgrade to?
I didn't That's the one that comes with the coach.
did you use rattle cans or a sprayer?
A sprayer.
