You said that it is sublayer of DLL and it is responsible for transmission of data packets. But we don't have packets on data link layer we have frames. So if we don't have data packets on DLL how it is responsible for that.

a packet is part of a frame , frame = network layer packet + data link header ...
and yea , she should've said frames because the protocol data unit (PDU) in data link layer is : frames .
