Klaus issue with Rebecca and Marcel was that he didn’t want Marcel loyalty to switch from him to Rebecca. He saw Marcel as his child, that he raised. Noticed he didn’t kill Marcel when he found them together, he daggered her.
One of the things I always disliked about The Originals was the fact that Klaus NEVER TRULY reconected with his werewolf side, his biological famil and all.
