Congratulations on your journey. I didn’t know you went through so much when you were explaining how you were graduating in the following summer during Next step Bristol event.

I really loved watching your videos when you were applying. I’m now in a similar position resitting my exams which I didn’t sit last year and won’t end up sitting this year, so this video is a motivating reminder that it’s not impossible to get into med, you can get there if you’re determined enough. Thank you for sharing your story!

I’m so glad it worked out for you I took a gap year after getting no offers the first time round with AAA and by a miracle got a place in the clearing of that second year of applying. I could relate to so much of your experience with friends leaving etc. I’m so happy everything has worked out for you. I’m sure it’s made you a much better doctor because of it. In my case it’s made me so grateful to get in regardless of where I’m studying

I Remember watching your videos when you were going through the application processes not because I wanted to do med but because your spirit and perseverance inspire me. So happy to see you doing well and achieving what you set out to do!

I watched your videos in school when I was applying to medical school myself and I cannot tell you how happy I am for you and how far you've come. I am in 4th year now and in the middle of revising for exams and your story always motivates me to keep going. It brings me so much joy to see that you are loving the course and I wish you all the best in the future :)

What a lovely inspiring video, lovely to see your passion and how much you’re enjoying it. Thanks for saying there are people in their 30’s on your course. I’m 36 and waiting to hear back from my med interview to see if I have an offer for September🤞🏼 my path has been long and convoluted too!

Thank you for this. I’m currently going back to college as I didn’t get the right grades. I really want to be a dermatologist so I definitely need to do better. I start college this September for two years and hopefully after that I’ll go into medicine. I’m going to work extremely hard to get into medicine and I don’t care how long I WILL BE A DERMATOLOGIST!! This story was amazing and made me feel extremely reassured. I’m going to save this video and if I feel like giving up I’m going to watch it again.

man im so passionate for medicine. However I come from a poor family so time is not on my hands. I’m on a gap year. Didn’t do uCAT in summer because I was sad about not getting in the first time. However I’ve decided it is my calling. There’s not a moment where I’m not thinking of medicine. So I have decided to embark again. It must have been quite disheartening to get 790 and not get in. How did you do so well in ucat?

I wanted to know how you got around UCAS in term of predicted grades and references when applying to university since you were an independent candidate because you resat your exams in a gap year
