A couple years ago I had the same type of situation as Ben. Woke up one day feeling off, couldn’t eat, sleep, shit, life sucked. Went on for a couple days. Eventually went to my doctor who immediately rushed me to the ER😂 2 hours later CT scans done, unfortunately mine had already ruptured so surgery wasn’t really gonna do anything. So they hooked me up to some computers and wished me luck and monitored me for the next 2 days before they let me go home. Moral of the story. If you get those symptoms don’t be like me. Go get it checked early on👍👍
A rancher near me has an old bulldozer propped up on a post and it has been a landmark for my entire life. I can see your Hummer becoming equally as well known in your community.
Please do that idea of throwing a life wide open party/festival, that would be insane, I’m from Minnesota and would absolutely come out there and meet you guys, I missed you guys at haydays:(

I had my appendix out I had a pain for 3 weeks it got to the point I couldn't stand straight so😂 I work as a truck driver in the uk and was driving back feeling shit ... luckily I live in the uk and its free health care well we pay high tax to pay for the nhs

Those stomach pains can be really hard to pinpoint so totally understand the reluctance to go in to get it looked at. I just had my wisdom teeth removed and they prescribed me acetominophen-codein as a pain med. Took one the first night and woke up with some stomach/upper abdomen pain about 3 hours later. I was thinking it was food poisoning at first. After a few minutes it got so intense that I was kneeling against the toilet hanging my head over the bowl. It hurt so bad I felt like I was going to throw up. I couldn't breathe and couldn't speak. I was just groaning in pain and couldn't control it. After about 15 minutes of this I started forcing down some water and that seemed to do the trick. Eventually the pain went away and for about 10 minutes after that my body was still shaking. It was so weird. My guess is that I took the pain med too long after eating food and it was just tearing up my insides. I think the water helped wash it through. If the pain had persisted at that level just a couple minutes longer, I would've taken a trip to the ER. I've been in pain before from some mega dirt bike crashes while racing but I've never felt pain like that before. Glad Ben got sorted out before it caused damage.

Ben, those 3 incisions for the appendix 1: Gas to make your stomach bloated 2. Camera to see whats going on 3. The actual surgery Thats why they do 3, they used to just do it in one incision but the scar was like 4+ inches long, these small scars are much better imo
I had appendicitis and it was horrible. But I've also had stomach aches that are almost as bad most of my life. People never believed my stomach aches were quite that bad. Then when I got appendicitis the only difference was a little bit of nausea. Anyway, I never get to tell that story so I decided to share it here

My appendix did burst inside me while I was on the operating table and ended up being hospitalized for 7 days with a tube hanging out of my stomach draining the toxins. Not a fun time lol good thing yah got it in time!
Had my appendix out 4 years ago, was the most pain I've ever been in as well, it was partially gangrened, I spent a week in the hospital hooked to ivs afterwards
Doctor here: The appendix, as an adult, does not have much of a function compared to when one is a newborn/baby. The appendix is part of the lymphatic system, which in summary is part of your immune system. Usually the appendix duct gets obstructed by hard fecal matter sequentially growing bacteria until the point of inflammation which could lead to rupturing, causing a life threatening infection. To add to the owning an eagle thing I know a guy who has 2 of them. they have to get a permit which is hard to get but, they go out and trap them then take em home and train them that's how its done.
ER nurse here. A ruptured appendix can be life threatening and you know it bursts when there is a sudden relief of pain. The pain is a good sign in this case.
Had a testicular torsion earlier this year and ended up waiting in the ER for 6 hrs in agony. The doctor said if I gone 2 more hours I would have lost my testicle. Worse pain I've ever experienced.

Surgery docs go to school for like 13 years! 4 years undergrad, 4 years med school and then additional 5 years for surgery most of the time.
