A bicycle shouldn’t cost more than my T7. Bicycle prices have gotten way out of hand. I was in the market a little over a year ago. I like buy local but ended up mail order from Poseidon. I got the Redwood, it’s a great buy.
That's a lot of bike for that price.
I do enjoy a good value proposition.
Personally I went with the ride1up LMT'D. Just a bit higher spec and price, but definitely still on the economical side. I really wanted the torque sensor for a more natural feel, and the one-step-up brakes and suspension are a nice bonus.
It did take some modifications to get it where I wanted it; fenders & cargo racks to make it a proper commuter, and an adjustable handlebar mount & cheap suspension seatpost for comfort. Lastly I got some Johnny Watt 365 tires for all terrains and weathers. Now it's a heck of a sweet ride.
When it comes to value motos, I've had my eye on a cb500x. Seems like a really versatile starter bike that one won't outgrow too quickly.
Unbelievable how many new bike companies have sprung up to challenge the old guard. Nice bike!
Although most all your points are credible, I own the P6 version and the wheel and tire assembly are most definitely not heavy..that’s it☺️, the P6 weighs in at 65lbs. They truely are excellent bang for the buck.

I've thought about doing an e-bike conversion kit. There is an bike store in Bolton On that sells them.
They’re good in the winter when it’s too cold for motorcycling.
