- Kavi Sharma is a beautiful doll. She is the 2023 Girl of the Year from American Girl. I noticed that Instagram was having a Kavi Appreciation week so it gave me the idea to make a video for her on my TH-cam channel. The videos that I make always give me more time to enjoy my dolls. Thank you so much! It is hard with so many dolls to give them all the attention that they deserve, but so much fun when I get the time to give them some love. It is like rediscovering them all over again!

I agree that AG has just released SO much this year! It’s overwhelming and I can’t really appreciate any of it.

Hi sew4dolls! My favorite thing about Kavi is her meet outfit. I love her top and the parachute pants! I’m not sure why everyone was so disappointed. I thought it’s adorable. However, I don’t own Kavi because New York doesn’t interest me or the performing arts. But I admire her and I think she’s a beautiful doll.
Thanks for sharing!! I like the look of her outfit, but fabric of her pants worries me. I am so afraid that I will snag them or stain them. I don't like velcro with satin. I took her photo next to a rock and was worried I was going to ruin them on the rock.
Definitely been overwhelmed with so much. I truly wish the Girl of the Year would be on the 1st of January as it has always been.

Something happened before I could finish the whole video so I will finish it today. When I started to watch, I gave a little laugh because we have so many of the same likes and dislikes, I thought, ok, tell me what my thoughts are about her. I figured we would be agreeing on most things.

Kavi is a beautiful doll! I love her brown eyes and dark hair, She looks good in any color. I bought the Performance outfit but that is it. I loved the trunk she has but not the price. Maybe it will go on sale around Christmas!
It would be really nice if things go on sale, but even then, I am probably out of money for more stuff. AG has a lot of competition. I am not liking their recent no returns on so many items either. I rarely return things from, but it makes me less happy shopping at stores with those type of policies.
I have read her journal, and I can relate to her story so much because I also have ADHD. I also love to dance.

The dress you said is not actually a dress. It’s a two-piece outfit I know because I own it.
Do you mean her Bollywood Dance Costume? I call most 2 piece matching sets like that a dress. I know technically it is a skirt and top. I see the mid drift showing.
I like the doll a lot - love her wig. Her collection isn’t my favorite and I’m not a huge fan of her meet. I have her dog, accessories, pjs, performance outfit and Bollywood dance outfit. I also bought her actual book. I’m unsure whether or not I’ll get her yoga outfit or yoga accessories. I don’t like either of her “big ticket” items and will not be getting them or the 2 wicked costumes ($$).
It sounds like you have a very nice collection for Kavi. I have never bought any of the big items for the GOTY.
@@sew4dolls thank you. I have Blaire’s restaurant (which I took out the components for use in my dollhouse kitchen but still have the structure boxed), Joss’ vw surfvan, and Lea’s hut. I wanted Kira’s hut but I don’t have room for it. I realized I didn’t have room for any more large items when I got my doll room better organized and discovered the items I already own take up more space than I thought (lol). That is why the restaurant structure is remaining stored in its box.
I love Kavi! She has my favorite mold in the tan skin tone. She looks so good in everything I’ve put her in. I also think AG released just so much this year! My wallet is grateful that I didn’t want all of it! 😅
Kavi is beautiful! AG released way too much this year. I like more time to appreciate what is out before we have more releasing. I hope that things slow way down for them next year.
