I have a new appreciation for the hard work that goes into growing mangoes!
I really like the process of growing mangoes in Australia. The mango tree is low but produces very large fruit
Have you ever planted mangoes?
The mango trees are kept low so they produce the mangos at an easy to pick level. the nicest mangos are from a new tree between 3- 8 years old.
The older the trees the larger the mangos grow generally because the root system is bigger and isn't putting as much effort into leaves etc.. I've grown mangos from seed and they are awesome.
@@tony98discovery In India we get the harvest every alternate year
The diversity of Australian agriculture never fails to impress me.
Harvesting mangoes on this scale requires a blend of tradition and modern technology.

Hey... who doesn't like mangos! 😉
Sustainable hey !! That word is used a lot these days . What are they spraying the trees with and for what purpose ?
what is sustainable about it? every single fruit put in a plastic foam, sprays and transport all over... wake up!
@@billwilliams9362 Any type of spray is applied! It is not good for human health to eat them!
But without spraying, mangoes will not produce enough and will be easily damaged!
In India there are may be more than 1000 varieties with different flavors, sizes and taste

It makes it more relishing to have mangoes 🥭 grown, harvested, packed and shipped with such care. In America I missed this wonderful mangoes for 25 years, which was banned tobe imported from India for a very long time because of fruit fly problems with Mangoes from India. Most Americans with exception of Asian, Mexican or Pureto Ricans are scared of irritable bowl syndrome and hence don't relish this fruit.

As an Indian i can tell that artificially ripening mangoes never taste like naturally ripening (on trees) mangos
Natural ripening mangos taste like heaven 😍🌷🌷
Well done Ausis ,India should get this technology it's superb👏
Have you ever eaten this Australian mango?
Absolutely right! Mangoes taste way better when left to ripen on the trees! As you see from the video mangoes are picked prematurely - mostly because of the time taken to export overseas. The exported mangoes will be ripen by the time they arrive at the overseas markets. Also note, farmers constantly trimmed the trees to keep them low for ease of picking. Apart from diseases, the greatest threat for the mangoes is the rain & wind during the sprouting time. Those tiny flowers are so fragile that rain can wipe the whole season in an instance - before they even have a chance to germinate. You also need good colonies of bees.
