    • @sionetuiono3301
      @sionetuiono3301 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely right! Mangoes taste way better when left to ripen on the trees! As you see from the video mangoes are picked prematurely - mostly because of the time taken to export overseas. The exported mangoes will be ripen by the time they arrive at the overseas markets. Also note, farmers constantly trimmed the trees to keep them low for ease of picking. Apart from diseases, the greatest threat for the mangoes is the rain & wind during the sprouting time. Those tiny flowers are so fragile that rain can wipe the whole season in an instance - before they even have a chance to germinate. You also need good colonies of bees.

      The older the trees the larger the mangos grow generally because the root system is bigger and isn't putting as much effort into leaves etc.. I've grown mangos from seed and they are awesome.

In America I missed this wonderful mangoes for 25 years, which was banned tobe imported from India for a very long time because of fruit fly problems with Mangoes from India. Most Americans with exception of Asian, Mexican or Pureto Ricans are scared of irritable bowl syndrome and hence don't relish this fruit.
