I give the best game musics award of all time for HOMM3. I played the game when I was in high school and all may agree it was one of the best top strategy game of that era. However I listened the sound tracks for many years more. The music of the game was definitely beyond the game itself. Takes you to an another world!
I think this is because there were two versions if I am not misstaken and they swapped around the music scores between the various towns. I for one don't recognize the necromancer theme at all in the Heroes 2 suite, it was completely differnt on my CD. It really does! When you listen to the soundtrack for pleasure after playing the game on and off for almost 18 years it really means something.
