    Dirk Moses, Head of Market Development at Technoform, talks about a solution for optimizing e-mobility. This involves optimizing the heating and cooling system. Customized plastic profiles for the HV battery were developed here using a special extrusion process. These customized plastic profiles use a clip function to eliminate the disadvantages of conventional battery systems for electric vehicles, using screws or adhesives.
    Technoform implemented the battery solution with LION Smart GmbH. It was originally developed for the BMW i3. As a plug & play solution, it simplifies the assembly and disassembly of the high voltage battery of electric vehicles. Today, the LION Smart product is used for many different applications: Commercial electric vehicles, boats and stationary applications. With this thermal plastic solution for the e-mobility sector, Technoform has also taken a major step towards sustainability by making the system easy to dismantle and install.
    For Dirk Moses, it was particularly exciting to develop a cost-efficient solution that also significantly simplifies recycling after the product's life cycle.
    Technoform specializes in thermoplastic solutions that achieve advantages in product developments and product design in various industries. As in this example from the automotive industry, even after 10 years on the market, the innovative development can still represent an advantage for customers and prove itself on the market.
