Generally you do want to show current certifications or as recent as possible. Doesn't mean you cannot show them otherwise, but they will become less relevant

Dear Oscar, I just downloaded your EB2 NIW application and I am using it as a reference to fill out the I-140 form. I noticed that in part 6 of your form, you did not fill out any field, however, the USCI instructions establish that we have to include at least points 1,2, and 3 to help the USCIS officer understand the Endeavor. My question is when you applied for an EB2 NIW visa the instruction to fill at least points 1,2, and 3 of part 6 was in place or mentioned in the Petition Filing and Processing Procedures for Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Workers? I am asking this because I filled out these points and my application was not accepted due to the USCIS officer said part 6 was incomplete.
Does having something unrelated to the endeavor add value to the petition? For example, an excellent IELTS score, a merit scholarship in high school, a letter from the prime minister during primary school, etc.?

Totally agree that with lawyers we do most of the work. Of course they may help to guide, but often this does not even happen. And indeed, preparing a self petition should deserve a Master's degree by itself!

For wait times in the visa bulletin what matters is the country of birth, not citizenship

You are supposed to do what you said you would do. The EB2 NIW is a permanent residency

please fill out that part and return to them. When I submitted it, I left it blank and it was ok. It seems they changed their criteria now

I140 approval is just one step. Does he need to follow eb2 timelines even for niw? Or is it separate? Eb2 is not current for India born.
EB2 is def. no current for India! He explains this in the interview, he had a previous I-140 with an employer
