Hey Kristie, Don't Forget to put a Big Straight Pin Cushion in the Men's Dressing Room or by the Dart Board. Because guys are Forever Looking for Bootiner PINS !!
WOW! This looks like your calling in life. Alleluia! I love seeing people flow in their calling! Very informative and educational. I pray God enlarge your terriotory and bless you all beyond your wildest dreams. Fellow Host :) Ax
Apparently no building codes or electrical codes need to be followed. Also no engineers a 100 year old barn is not safe without being re-engineered and new structural supports
I love how you were able to keep the character and history in the barn but to modernize it for practical use! You can see the time, effort, and care that you all put into the details. Beautiful property, and it's an amazing venue! My friends moved a 200+ year old barn in our area and as they both were photographers for National Geographic they did a series in conjunction with different historical societies, and the University of Maine to move the barn using no motorized equipment. They relocated it about 4 miles away and reassembled it the way they would have when it was originally built. It was pretty cool! They ended up hosting many weddings and events there. It just shows how such craftsmanship and beauty can be restored and repurposed to be useful in anytime!🙏♥️♥️
Very cool! Way to go Kristie and crew!! Looks fantastic! I love following along on your projects! Can't wait to see the final result of the shipwreck house! Keep up the great work!! 🥰🥰
Kristi this is absolutely breathtaking 😍 ❤️. Want to start a venue in west Alabama after my military retirement in few years. This is motivating 👏🏿 🙌🏿 😌
Kristie, this is absolutely jaw dropping… it makes me want to get married again just to have it here. Maybe our 30th anniversary vow renewal in 2 years! Is there a video tour of Sam’s house renovation?
Amazing! From the initial vision to what it has become and all the work in between. The utilization of things that some would overlook and throw away and how you turn into what it is. The salvaging and all. Awesome!
Great job. So proud of you. You have done so well :) It’s perfect. Have you ever thought of a cover from the girls room to the outdoors to the bathroom. Just in case it rains. I’m sure you have thought about it. :). You have thought of everything stunning ❤️❤️🇨🇦
This is EXACTLY what my wife and I are dreaming of doing. I have SO many questions! What condition was the barn in to begin with? Did you do all the work yourself, or contract it out? What was your total budget? 100 additional questions!
AWESOME KRISTI! SO GLAD TO SEE A NEW VIDEO FOR ONE THING! So happy & pleased to see family and you save a barn of any kind and upgrade it to a new use besides1 Way to many barns on smaller farms are getting neglected and then tore down so anyone that saves even one gets and heck of lot of admiration and respect from me always! So will we next see a video on where your "boat house" on the water is @? Have not seen any updates on it for a bit....... :-) How is your little 1000+ lb. pet doing back @ the Potato Home? Friends of mine I went to high school did this same exact thing with an old barn 10 years or so ago - have attended many wedding/receptions there as well as every time we have a high school class reunion - always @ Neil & Mary's. Love it! th-cam.com/video/ByrCyDhUcGg/w-d-xo.html 9:56
Wondering if you had architect and engineering plans for this renovation? A ag building that was built 100 years ago was not designed for 200 plus people. Looks like you put new floor boards in but realistically you only added more weight to the lower section you did not add strength. Also I did not see any new structural supports upstairs or anywhere for that matter. You also can not make your electrical fixtures for a commercial A2 assembly building. Building codes are there for a reason people's lives can be at stake.
Haha thanks for the faux concern Chad, yes, we did have to have structural engineering and commercial plans. The occupancy is put there by the building department.
@Kristie Wolfe Glad to hear that. Since I did not see any new framing reinforcements to meet current wind and snow load requirements I assumed no engineering was involved.
Welcome back and the house looks great....

Your fire pit might work with a fake fire light with real burnt wood stacked on it....maybe even with a sound track of a real wood fire...

Pheew! for a second there I thought that was your husband :) ...Please marry me Kristie!
Where the Hobbit House?
Personally, I love Kristie, but marriage and big weddings are just plain silly.
