Hi Anja. On difficult words like 14- vierzehn, it would be helpful if you broke it down so I could really understand. I’m hard of hearing ( and it takes me a little longer to get it right). I do want to thank you for teaching German to people.

in german : 8 acht / night : Nacht ==> gute N8
in eng : 8 eight / night ==> good N8
in french : 8 huit / night : nuit ==> bonne N8
In spanish : 8 ocho / noche : well, almost...
But you dont pronounce good nayt, you pronounce good naeet
Portuguese - 8 = oito / night = noite
eight sounds different than night!
in dutch: 8 acht / night: nacht ==> goede n8 (dutch is very similar to german)
Another exercise: Listen the music Sonne by Rammstein
When I was a kid Rammstein inspired me to learn German.
J.S. Bach, Michael Schenker and other virtuoso musicians inspired me also to learn the language.
why do they say "aus" instead of "zehn" in the beggining of the song?

Why is the "ig" sometimes pronounced "ik" and sometimes "eesh"? Which is the correct way? For example, I usually hear 20 pronounced with the "eesh" sound at the end. But in books, it says the correct way is "ik". Thanks!

Since you wrote "Don´t misspell as sex"... I can´t find de correct way to differentiate them. :p
Haaaaaahaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
She pronounces it the same as sex (she said "misspell" and not "mispronounce"). However the most common pronunciation (based only on my experience with german lessons) is like a Z in english. In fact if i had not seen her videos i would have said that pronouncing it like she did was wrong. It must be a regional thing.
