I recently saw this adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. I must say it has become my favorite one. Phantom of the Opera meets Beauty and the Beast and it is a work of art! Beautiful love story! 💞
this is on UK tv later tonight again at 9pm on True Movies....It's been on True Entertainment and True Movies so many times within the last year that I must have seen seen it about ten times already and I will be watching it again because it's the best version of Beauty and the Beast that I've ever seen 😍

Dramatic yet innocent, Bella AND Leon. Corny but true. Love makes everything new and unpredictable and exciting! Have to accept the light and the dark. Beasts need love more than anyone, makes them less salty but still edgy and smoldering. I totally get the attraction. 🌹

honeyphan2 you're welcome ;) The first thing I did when I got my DVD is cut the music from credit titles and upload it here - because I suspected there'll be no soundtrack on iTunes. I think that American channels have a large amount of their own TV shows to buy series from other countries. Is there a practice to broadcast European TV series in America, not just from Great Britain?
+Lina NoPlaceForSanity - but since this was made for world wide release (even if it didn't happen then) and it was filmed in English, I would think there is still a chance... we have BBC America and PBS - which airs UK shows. I think there are also some channels on cable or Uverse that host foreign films/shows. Usually Spanish or Italian, so there's a chance I could see it that way- but I want to see it in English! lol *stamps foot and pouts. lol ;-)

I think that it's very-very good considering the fact it's not their native language - I'm asking because maybe they didn't release the English audiotrack because of the actors' accent (they're Italian/Spanish/French and only one of them is American).

There are many English released period dramas where they keep the accent for whatever country they are in (sometimes the Americans even adapt their own accents to try to fit and sound like they are from that country), so I don't think that would have been a problem. I think it's because that fantasy BatB movie with the same title came out the same year. They might have thought it was too much at once, and would be too confusing. That's my guess anyway...Since another country is releasing it this month, first time, according to that vid you posted on your channel, I'm still holding out hope that the U.S. or another English speaking country will hop on the bandwagon and contract it - maybe in the winter months around Christmas. :) That's often when movies like this come out here in the U.S.

Crimson Peak. Jane Eyre. Rebecca. Dracula. Basically any Gothic Romance which is what this is. Even Jane Austens Northanger Abby which is a satire of the genre fits with this style. Phantom of the opera being the most famous but if you haven't seen the Australian sequel to that called Love Never Dies you may enjoy that too after seeing the Gerard Butler Phantom. You may also like Valmont/cruel intentions/dangerous liaisons. And Lady J.
Tv shows The Borgias with Holliday Grainger and Jeremy Irons and François Arnaud. You (especially season 1 bc Joe goldberg is so obsessive). Old movie .. The Strange Woman with Heady Lamarr and George Sanders. Dorian Grey ... either the George Sanders version or the Colin firth version.

I see. The Italian dub alongside the English dub makes sense now. But I can't believe there was 11 people disliked this D: They're probably voiceover haters.
Could be - I also noticed in watching it just now, the music isn't as clear as it used to be when I first posted - also the voiceovers don't blend as well as they used to - they are choppy (which is weird) I think that happens over time, (years) with so many viewings. I'm always seeking for ways to improve, so maybe I'll come up with a way to keep that from being so pronounced or from happening at all. :)
Yes, you have a point. The voiceovers are choppy-ish, but if you consider the time this was made, there was only so much you could do with trailer voiceovers. They are bound to get choppy after rendering. It's not your fault exactly. It's more of a technical issue (that somehow stay around). As a fellow editor, I know and understand that concept--but I don't think the people who hated on this are editors (or even consider editing problems). They are probably so used to hearing perfect sound that imperfect sound is completely horrible to them in spite of the beautiful editing. I know I will always be naturally bias since I'm your friend, but you deserve defending; and now, thanks to my current Master's program, I can easily debate my PoV and win. LOL.

It took until I think last year for the 2014 French fantasy movie of Beauty & the Beast (considered a remake of the old 1946/1947 b/w French movie) to be made available to buy a physical copy of in the US, and that has both subbed and Dubbed version. So, hopefully this one will follow suit.
