- PLEASE READ: (Lyrics & dialogue & links to movie below)- watch in HD for best experience…this song has been on my request list for so long- but only recently was I inspired, after watching this new miniseries, and this is also the introduction to a new fandom I’m adding of Leon & Bella (Beauty and the Beast). By request for Renee Harmond, (who asked for 2004 PotO with this song; I hope you don’t mind that I added this other fandom, instead of LND like I said I might, but this BatB reminds me so much of Phantom too.) A special thanks to Lina NoPlaceForSanity (without your wonderful English subs you added to your clips, I would never have been able to watch this amazing story- so thank you!) - and also thanks to Chanel Kamai for posting me about this delightful and unique take on Beauty and the Beast story, what has become a favorite movie. :) Story follows lyrics. OMG. I discovered this video now and I completely fell in love with it! 💌 There are many things in common between these couples, and Alessandro Preziosi's look reminded me so much of Erik's (The Phantom). You had a brilliant idea!

It's been haunting me all today. It was so very well done, and the actors' chemistry was spot on.
Kitty Kait W - I know what you mean. Halfway through, I knew I would add it to my regular list of fandoms I vid. Once it was done, I watched it a second time, then immediately set about making the stock clips (which is a full days' work, sometimes more). lol It's one of those movie/miniseries that stays with you a long while after you've seen it. They really were all perfectly cast.

I also do plan to do at least one more song with these fandoms paired together: E/C and Leon/Bella. :) So just keep an eye out...
+SdAmy Minsun - I have seen North and South, but I don't have those clips in my computer. I did like Richard Armitage in the role- a sexy and dark Mr. Thornton. I have the clips of Pride and Prejudice- the 2005 movie with Matthew Macfadyen and I can try to see if there is a song that would fit both P&P and La Bella e la Bestia (the only Beauty and the Beast period drama I vid). If I can find one, I might also include Phantom....

I finished the first half last night and am about to start the second! :D I love this version! although I did find it hard to believe Leon's love for Bella initially considering what he was doing, but then of course it proved to be true ;) !!! savoureachsensationx - that is really odd! I guess YT was having one of its usual glitches that day or something. lol ... I see it that he had forgotten how to love, after all that happened and as cruel as he became - a true beast (thinking he was responsible for Juliette's death and hating himself for that). But he was attracted to Bella and intrigued by her from the first, and the bet put him in her company. Without it, a prince would have never spent time with his servant. She taught him how to love again and how to live - and that he was worthy of saving. :) I saw a lot of similarities in the PotO stories, right down to the HP royalty idea. ;-) (Erik a king, despised and feared by his subjects, Leon a prince also despised and feared and considered a monster.) There were really so many strong similarities in this movie and PotO...I got the English from the trailer: www.luxvide.it/en/beauty-and-the-beast-149.html - since the whole movie was actually made in English, it's my hope that it will come to the U.S (and the U.K.) at some point. I understand it's being released to Canada and Spain soon. So maybe one day...And yeah, it's sometimes hard to match the lyrics to clips perfectly, but I try. lol

I went to a lot of sites looking for info on it. I'm guessing there are French subs on the DVD? If so, that fits for Canada since many there speak the language.

+Alyssa Schwarz - Thank you so much! :)... To my knowledge they have not yet released it to an English speaking country and there are no current plans to do so. Even though it was filmed in English, and the official trailer was made that way -there is not even a place for English audio or subs on the DVDs. But here's hoping they might one day (soon!) release it to an English speaking country so we can hear ALL of that wonderful story in English! :)

i just finished watching it!!! it was sooooo good! i am just like you i found reading the subtitles too distracting, but it was definitely worth it! if it ever does come out in America, i will buy it in a heartbeat! thank you for bringing such a wonderful couple to my attention! that just made my day!!! i got so engrossed in it!
xXBrokenHeartsXx - I know what you mean! lol It really is captivating- it was perfectly cast- and those two have sooo much chemistry. I loved the story and each and every scene they were in together and every kiss- even the one with the slap. lol But my faves were when she returned to him and later, when she took off his mask. :') And I melt each time I watch the part where he rides after her and says what he does then takes her away... oh my. So Phantom like. So perfect. And the part in the greenhouse too, and where he storms into the house and takes her when she's dying... heck, I love it all. lol
i loved every scene they were in together!!! they were perfect for those roles and it reminded me of Phantom so much! i think my favorite scene of the whole thing was when she came back in the end and confessed she loved him in front of everyone! the look on his face was perfect! although the wedding, every kiss, every interaction came very close behind!

Yes, he actually was - you can see it best when she removes his mask while they are in the greenhouse. There is flesh that is burned, as well as the cut from the dagger over his eye.
