From what I understand the problem with cruise ships is that they double the tourist population but only account for 6% of the business. Probably because they have already prepaid for food and drinks on the ship. I have always stayed in Key West when I have gone. Next month I'm going to try it from a cruise ship for a day. Not sure I will be satisfied with one day but I have never been on a cruise ship and wanted to give it a try.
