Maybe it's because we're the same age but I absolutely agree with every comment you made. Especially about the play feature. I don't know why You'd want the thrusters to move in opposite directions when moving the lever. But Sergeant Stacker and the ODST are amazing. Especially that ODST.

@@sheerkhanindustries4384 well my guess is with helicopters you can tilt the blades in different ways so that they push down more air or less air but with these there I don’t think you could tilt the propellers so moving in opposite directs would cancel out each other and hover
I hope they do a redesign of the gremlin or a wolverine in mettalic green as well, they covered most of the aerial vehicles so they should focus on their land vehicles :)
This set really surprised me. When I saw the size in pictures i was disappointed, but after building it and seeing how well it was designed it has become my favorite hornet

I still have that marvelous set although sadly the elite ultra leg broke and the bubble shield hand clips also broke other was its rather intact for its age.
found this one in my local walmart, and ever since it's been on my desk. helps I managed to find my ODST figure from years ago who has a Splaser, so now I can run a full Hornet with some serious firepower lol
I so hope Mega will produce some different specialist or basic ODST's using the colors of the one included in this set!! I don't enjoy the drab green used for the Hive Exterminators.
I agree with pretty much everything you stated. This is the first hornet I have received and I am very glad to have received this one and not the previous one. One of the cleanest builds hands down!
Shoutout to my brother for sending this to me after I begged for it as soon as I saw your review, just got and built it, surprisingly simple yet effective play feature!
I think the play feature is amazing and VERY minimally exposes itself compared to lego sets with technic features and other mega sets, its 10x better than projectile launchers at least. I have been loving all of the Halo Universe sets so much, hoping for many many more amazing sets and figures.
You’re right on the comparison to Lego, Mega take a very different approach to set design than Lego that’s for sure. Mega also seem to be staying away from projectile launchers at the moment which is great. Definitely another great Halo Universe set, I’m hoping they’ll continue this line too, seems to have gone a bit quiet on that front, I also found it strange that the new Elephant wasn’t part of the Universe line.
Agreed and agreed, I currently have 4 which I thought was more than enough but now that I’ve built it I feel I need a few more, even if it’s mainly for the figures. Although the SGT Stacker figure is a named character he can so easily be army built by popping and swapping halo infinite Marine heads without the helmets. Thanks for commenting
I just recently bought this set at Target for my brother lol, he thinks its one of the better looking hornets and I have to agree because we haven’t gotten a hornet in a while, also I really like the odst figure!
Bought two, can’t wait for the arrival. Might buy one more. I wish they slid in another of that ODST with a white shoulder piece like in the game. Nonetheless it looks so good and I am excited to slap it on my shelf.
It’s so nice to hear people actually being able to pick up a relatively current set both in store and online for retail for more than 1 day. It seems this is the first set to have anywhere near decent distribution since the first wave of Infinite sets 3 years ago. Let’s hope this is the start of something good for Mega’s distribution. Going to a pick a few more for myself I think.
Would be nice if the targets in my state carried these new set’s instead of just the razor back and all the Pokémon sets The I wonder how this set compares with the NMPD variant that had the cockpit that opened the same way as the game
I got my hornet from target but when it arrived the Stg. had a problem with the Hands it cannot hold the Magnum and if I tried to put it on it kept on bending so I don't know what's the problem any ideas?
It is one of the best sets ever, pretty easily accessible, epic build and incredible figures!
It does seem to be a well received set going by the comments and most seem to have easy access to it too, music to my ears. Long may it continue.

I figured it was to simulate the Hornet "turning" in mid air.

I do sort of miss the older style Hornet builds but I think this one is a lot better than Hornet Blitz version.

I’ve been hearing this set is available most areas, it’s a good thing as it’s a good set.
It’s nice but why no rocket pods? It’s absence is disappointing. I’m glad the actual chain gun piece is used instead of the bolt shooters

I got my hornet from target but when it arrived the Stg. had a problem with the Hands it cannot hold the Magnum and if I tried to put it on it kept on bending so I don't know what's the problem any ideas?
Try emailing Mattel customer service, they may be able to send a replacement figure if required.
