Thanks for the video. I found it was easiest to get the foam dampener in first and then angle the trigger guard to get the bottom tab in. Definitely trickier than taking off.

Im actually switching back to Husqvarna saws due to the complication of the stihl handles.

Thank you for the information ,it helps me a lot .I am with ms391 and my "star shaped" shock absorber needed to be replaced and I was shoked that must to disassemble the oil tank , didn"t expect for the "secret" screw :D

I'm glad that it helped. I'm not familiar with the procedure on an MS391, but I just took off the handle on an older MS250 and it was much more difficult that this MS261. Thank you for watching.
