You get compliments if 1) you are a popular, extraverted and nice person that people will not hesitate to talk to. If you are an introvert or make rude comments people will not trust you enough to say something nice. 2) you wear a fragrance that matches your looks and character.
This is the reality, most people aren't going to be flooded with compliments just because they wear a fragrance. Wear fragrances for yourself, not others. Take care of yourself, be confident and approachable, then any compliments will arrive in their own time.
The most important of all is how approachable you are. I got a 10 dollar ish perfume for a friend and he got multiple compliments. While me( not very approachable) has so many in expensive ones in my collection and I rarely get any compliments. Compliments are fun and confidence boosting but even if I don’t get any it doesn’t make me stop enjoying the perfumes on myself.
I have 1 Million Elixir and it's an absolute beast. Lasts over 24 hours on my skin and several days on clothes (even after going through a wash cycle) from only two sprays. It projects well for several hours; very strong for at least the first hour or two and i think it smells divine. I have a 100ml bottle that I used daily for 9 months (I live in a colder climate) and I'm not even half way through it, so i think it's pretty good value too.
The thing is if you smell Amazon or not 90% of people aren't going to just compliment you most people wouldn't take time out of there day to stop a random person to tell them they smell nice unless they won't to talk to you a lot of people say i don't get compliments and I bought Versace Eros that's exactly why people just don't stop strangers most of the time unless you're going to a club or bar even going on a date that's a different story
I found out that wearing wooden bead wristband accessory then spraying it with my chosen fragrance of the day helps enhancing the sillage range + increase the chance of my conversational partner catching wisp of it (i use hand-gesture a lot, lol). Nice content.
Really enjoyed your video ,I am from South Africa and about twice your age so guess we will not wear the same fragrance ,in the summer I love to wear monte blanc explorer ( black leather band ) and winter I love Bentley Intense , both get me “love your sent “ but I am a lot older ,both long lasting ! Good video. Keep learning and researching and youll do great. I think youll find that lesser known niche fragrances and especially independent hand crafted fragrances is the way to go. Look into the Art and Olfaction award nominees for inspiration.
My skin chemistry is horrible so fragrances project a 100x more, 3 sprays is already a lot. I sprayed Khamrah Qawa and it projected like 10 feet away according to my friend. Not sure what I can do
Best tip for most: Unscented lotion to where you apply your fragrance for example the neck. Moisturize the neck with lotion let dry 10 mins then apply fragrance to area. Best trick!
Great video buds !! I personally go for no less than 10 if i'm heading out ! half for the anterior side of the body and the other half split over the posterior side. it's almost like creating a three dimensional scent trail.
Ayy the algorithm doing its work, I'd also recommend using oils * Misk/ Musk Oil * & Using shower products that match your fragrance, I only do this for special occasions & My girl, but u can do it on the daily but it can get a bit expensive due to shower products that have a certain smell. EXAMPLE: For Vanilla perfumes, get method simply nourish body shower, & Maybe a lotion.
Misk/ Musk have different smells like vanilla misk oil etc etc, you can also get an oud oil, to wear it with whatever oud fragrance u have. All these extra products do, is just emphasize ur smell /scent, and it gets u noticed, but ofc no matter what perfume u wear or how u wear it, it will not assure you a compliment.

People need to regularly exfoliate, always shower before going out and moisturize their entire bodies while they're still wet, especially where they spray their EDP to make it last longer. Some people put a little vaseline in spots before they spray, I personally don't like the smell of vaseline but it works for some people.
How many sprays depends on the brand of fragrance, the fragrance itself and your body chemistry. I own a ton of frags and some would be completely overpowering with more than two sprays.
Man I appreciate these tips big time. I think my biggest thing for sure is not spraying enough. When I was young I was always shown like 3 sprays as I got older I upped it to 4/5 but still never got compliments. When I was young I didn’t have money so I wanted to save my frag. Now I’m older I can buy them easier so I upped my sprays to 7 and finally started getting a few compliments. I would say base line is 5 sprays at the least. Honestly I think the sweet spot is 8 sprays.

Been wearing and buying fragrances since the late 80’s. I have a collection of around 250. In all those years (over 30) I’ve had 3 compliments. People don’t just randomly compliment fragrances. The top 10 lists you see are a lie, just a form of marketing and of course click bait.
Work on your personality and appearance. I get compliments quite often(at least once a week sometimes more) and I’ve only been collecting fragrances since last summer.
My most complimented fragrances in my collection as of recently are Jones Beach by Bond no 9, Soleil Blanc by Tom Ford, Neroli Portofino by Tom Ford, Reflection Man by Amouage, Beach Hut Man by Amouage, Moonlight in Heaven by Killian, Sedley by PDM, Percival by PDM, Greenley by PDM, ADG Profumo, Elysium by Roja, Oceania by Roja, 40 Knots by Xerjoff, Santal 33 by Le Labo, and Bal’d Afrique by Byredo. Sorry, but complete bullshit. With 6 sprays you don't get compliments, only with very few fragrances. For the nost you need 10-20 sprays. Also, the concentration has nothing to do with longevity or performance. In the 90s, each EdT was stronger than any EdP nowadays. And take Sauvage Parfum as example, it performances way worse than the EdT. It depends on the ingredients and their quality. Also, EdT, EdP and Parfum version smell totally different in many cases, so going for the "best" concentration will definitely lead you the wrong way. Luna Rossa Ocean EdT performs and smells better than the EdP, why should you go for the higher concentration then?

When i wear nautica voyage which is rarely I use around 20. Im saying that for me and the senarios that I am in 6-10 is good for me. I have been using at least 9 recently as I am just getting into wearing cologne. I agree with your take for concentration a little, the fragrances that I have the edts have much worse projection and longevity then my edps. I have heard that this is not the case for every fragrance so I hear what your saying but slow down calling my content BS
