Most of the time I visit pobitora but I am afraid to stop at Mayong. Voi laage .. but the place is so beautiful. It is such a clean place and the houses seems like 90's. I just love the place but I am still afraid after what ever myths I have heard about that place but seriously I want this place to be as it is. I don't want Mayong to lose the name for which it is known all over the world. Please keep it alive it's a request to each and every people out there. And lastly Joi Aai Axom.

Nice piece of work. I always have trouble to explain my metropolitan friends how my clavicle bone fracture got cured by such magic within few days. Now I can see a good documentary to show them.

But at the beginning of the film, the kids from the other districts or town, they don't know about Mayong or its cultural heritage, that's shameful for them. They know fictional stories like Harry Potter, but not interested in their own culture, own heritage, own places.

It does exist .. now a days it is nothing but a tool to harm others & for own materialistic growth unlike the legends have performed it in ancient times. I am from Guwahati but I had known one person he told me before about that. I know one real things which forced me to believe something true---Near to my home one family ha married one girl but after married they found out her husband did not like her , her husband already have some body of their family love and all. So, after 5 months later --the husband sent that girl to girl's parents house by telling some story. for 3 years the guy did not come to take that his wife after offering every things by the girl's family. Then Girl's family with the one man from my locality who known some person in Mayong to give such mantra so that the husband by own take the girl permanently----truly after do such mantra and some rituals with that girl----husband had come by own to take the girl to his house and after on wards the family has been staying coolly and their life has settle properly--it is my real things I have seen my own eye.

the sub-titles - tend to fade. The film makers may please do what required so that people who see this documentary ( those who do not follow Assamese) may benefit by reading the subtitles. if not a voice over in English may be done. Otherwise, watching the documentary - is a waste of time as the sub titles are not clear at all!

Actuly, many people go there asked those majician to destroy other family , other shops and other husband --all negative things--they can do also, they can finish also other person with mantra or make them weak --but which majician would do such things he would also get same punishment later in his life I heard on it--example --if he would do mantra to kill other son --later this majician own son has died same way---so many majician after that has closed to do negative majic on it. I heard .

Now i starting to believe that mayong was once moirang or being ruled by moirang clan of manipur coz there is lot of similarity. Even in mnipur history there was a period when manipur manuscripts was lost or either hidden from manipur due to some reasons and those manuscripts looked like the one shown by one of them.
I am afraid they are either stolen or bought by foreigners. They take great interest in all this!

There was an era of magic in the time of Prophet Moosa/Moses (pbuh) when magic was so common and widespread. It is written in the Tafseer (brief explaination) of Q'uran that the greatest black magician of all time was Saamri and he was from India.
