I am wearing my Sarb033 on a brown leather strap and it looks amazing, especially when paired with an expensive bead bracelet. I also have the Sarb023. The Sarb033 has an understated quality to it while the Sarb023 is more flashy.
In retrospect it was a good thing that I bought the 033, 035 and the 017 for in total 950 dollars. My last Seiko I bought was the 007j. Those new ones just don't cut it in price vs quality.
Thank you for sharing your impressions, Leo. This sarb is one of the very few watches I personally stopped wearing, as I switched to more "beatable" diver style pieces, but could not let it go. 5 years later, it's my wife's favorite watch. Cheers!
Gorgeous watch, Leo! I love the black. I bought a SARB035 when the 033s became scarce. I have it on a Strapcode “Boyer Super O” bracelet. It wears so well! I’ve been eyeing the Uncle Seiko “Beads of Rice” lately… Congrats on the Explorer, too; that 36mm is my grail!
@@TheCalibratedWrist I’ve often thought about selling it, but then I wear it for a day & appreciate again what a great watch it is. I know I’d regret it if I sold it!
Cheers friend. Strapcode bracelets are great, I have a few, for this watch their bracelets seem a bit bulky. The beads of rice is a cool piece. Thx 🙋🏻♂️🥃
I have the predecessor the Scvs003. I bought it 2 days ago and i absolutely love it. The craftmanship is amazing. I have it on a miltat mt078 bracelet and i love it.
Funny you mention that watch SCVS, because I’ve also bought it about a month ago due to differences to this model. Mine came on the original bracelet the scvs003 came one, that is unique to the model. I’ve sold my sarb033 since this video and I enjoy the SCVS more. Cheers
Great review Leo. I just bought mine after hunting it for a few years. I have it on leather for the moment but I'm oscillating between a jubilee and a president. Să-l porți cu plăcere, daca îl mai ai :))
@@andreimihaila the president bracelet looks amazing on this. Nu-l mai am, după ce am cumpărat Explorer, s-a cam dus plăcerea pt sarb033. Te salut și să-l porți sănătos 🙋🏻♂️
Just bought one in decent condition at a reasonable price. Impulse ebay buy having been aware of it for a while since I got into watches a few years ago... was wondering before it arrived if I'd regret the purchase - but no, I get it now - really is a lovely watch. Bonus it seems to be running extremely accurately, though I'll be interested to stick it on the timegrapher in different positions....
Bought my Sarb003 back in 2019 was about $300. Price has gone up for these watches by a couple hundred bucks. Love the look and style of the watch very nice.
Leo if possible can u put a rolex explorer or op bracelet on this sarb.Always wanted to see how a clean male end link oyster bracelet would look on it.Sarb has the minimal OP or datejust vibes
Bro, you are pure class. From the BB, the Seiko vintage diver, that beautiful vintage doxa, to the 36 explorer, and even wore gloves for us... Respect! You have phenomenal taste.
The 6R15 A series is known for having frequent issues with the balance wheel, others seem fine. I would say the movement performs significantly better when fully wound. Other than that, well, been wearing mine for 3 years, very frequently. I don't even think so much about it, for me it's a great sign. Bought it 300 euros and it now became my second most expensive watch, lol. Your Uncle Seiko bracelet is just beautiful.
@@LeoVinteler if you go to the time stamp I referenced, you're holding that beautiful vintage seiko mod. I was asking if you could share with us where you bought it.
You still can’t really get a watch with a 38mm case and 100m of water resistance under 1000 that isn’t a microbrand or a Hamilton. Even for $500-$600 it’s a good deal.
@@arielargo I’ve checked it out, it is nice. But compared to the Sarb, the dial is very generic, hands aren’t as nice, the lug to lug is longer and the lug width is 19mm. It’s definitely a nice value option but the Sarb has more character and fits better with its shorter lug to lug.
@@brett2396 Yeah, dimensions are subjective. To me the longer lug to lug is the most negative thing, but the rest is arguably better IMHO. Better movement, hardening coating for scratch protection, slimmer, and better case finishing. It's a really good option. Don't get me wrong, the SARB is great! But discontiued and higher aftermarket prices is no longer the value it was. 🤷♂️
luckily , this watch is VERY easy to Regulate yourself and cheap to have someone else regulate , mine is running +2 on wrist and +4 standing . If you have steady hands go for it .(escapement and watch has a great video breaking down how )
