Agree with others. We played well. But a world class player turned up for the first time this season and showed why he is who he is. United did enough to close our key players down.

Thank you Ally! Sad to heard about Skippy’s injury, even more sad once I’ve googled where that bit was…every spurs fan is feeling your pain as well as his across the screen. COYS
Definitely clutching at straws, but the early Conte days at Spurs are giving me early Klopp at Liverpool vibes... some big wins and some silly losses, big improvements with a weak squad and a genuinely top level manager with immediate support of the fans. I don't think we are set up well enough to turn that into success like Liverpool did, but some lucky breaks in the transfer market and you never know... it's maybe not all doom and gloom 😅
Thanks for the vid ally! We weren't bad at all but unfortunately in the current situation we are in we have to win games and this was a huge opportunity.
For Utd's first goal, instead of coming out to close him down, Eric Dier was backing away from Ronaldo and finally turned his back on him with his hands behind his back, looking like The Monty Python Duke of Edinburgh's Impersonators Team.
All pro players turn their backs on shots. I don't get it. First thing I was taught playing as a defender was, never turn your back on the ball. It's so basic, yet they ALL turn. So frustrating. I don't understand at all why defenders let the opposition take a shot. Just close the ball down, really not hard to do. Basics
Tbf Fred was making a run into the box that had to be tracked. Dier had to keep “an eye” on that. That was obviously a decoy. If he didn’t keep an eye n Ronaldo slid him in, u would be just as mad.
Thanks, Ali. Great insights. We have improved but we’re still a ways away. More work is needed, especially our wingbacks. Numerous crossing drills from all areas on the pitch. Conte has made it clear multiple times that he needs to be backed. Message received so doesn’t need to be said at every press conference imo. If Poch was to return and was backed with players he needs, it could work. I would prefer we keep Conte and back him with the more ready made players so we can try to win quickly. I’m starting to worry that Bentancour is a player we were so desperate to have who has quality but may not be as good as we believe. I hope I’m wrong but I remember how excited we were when Hojbjerg first played for us. Maybe I’m suspicious about how easily Juve was willing to sell at the end of the window when they were adamant we couldn’t have Dybala or McKennie. I hope I’m wrong and he is much better than what we have at present. Son’s my favorite player and I know he’ll come good. I’m curious if his dad is still working with him after matches because that could be a factor of his apparent tiredness? Thanks again, hopefully we can bounce back and go on a mini run. COYS! 🤞
Fascinating to see how people are way more positive outside of Twitter. It was definitely a very good performance…unfortunately we still lack this bit of quality, we still miss a step but we are on the right track. We need time and hopefully a good summer window even without the money of CL football. Just wonder what is gonna be Kane situation in the summer if we don’t grab that top 4 (let’s be realistic Arsenal are playing very well and probably deserve it more). Ronaldo made the difference, too bad Kane did not step up… I guess it s the difference between very good players and legend of the game. For Son…I really wonder to what extent Covid has affected him. Great video Ali! COYS
Twitter is processed meats. The fake shit that is heavily processed with nitrates and sodium's. I want a cut of beef that is real, give me pork ribs or a chop. The internet is fake - the real world is so much nicer and full of flavor. It is healthier for you.
Not just Covid but his injury that took him a month and a half to recover yet he had to play every game and managed to produce end results up until a several weeks ago. I am shocked how the fans and journalists turn back on their best player so quickly. I guess this is typical Spursy thing. No wonder why Bale, Modric, and all the other top players left this club early.
What’s interesting is that you can definitely see improvements in certain areas but it’s almost like it’s the quintessential spursy mistakes that are always our undoing. I thinks it’s a mixture of mentality, experience and general quality. Can’t teach an old dog new tricks…can’t teach players who have never won anything how to win something 🤷🏻♂️
Hey Ali - thanks for your incredible journalism and words as always!! As a Korean American it’s been fascinating watching the Korean community commenting on spurs things… I have a hunch that maybe them calling you Gold is a reference to the most popular last name in Korea, which is Kim! One of the ways that the last name Kim is written out in Chinese (Koreans have names that are written in Chinese characters, each character having a meaning) is Gold! Just like my name. Not exactly sure why, but this would be one interesting connection to why! Anyways thanks again for your amazing content and positivity!
18:56 Man, dont worry about what some korean Sonny fans might say. We want your opinion straight up, not on the rocks. Its not like you are saying anything ridiculous. A lot of Korean Son fans are mad at some English people (fans and journalists) that say that Son is “overrated“ and that “Spurs need to either sell him or bench him.” Some Spurs fans even say that “Sonny is never there for us when we need him the most,” which is probably the most ridiculous statement about Son I have ever heard. He is and always has been the guy, who saved our asses, when Kane was out or when were getting desperate for whatever reason. He carried our team thru the Champions League all the way to the finals and he single-handedly carried our team thru the Nunu era. But now hes “never there for us when we need him??” Seriously? Whats YOUR opinion on this matter with Son? Forget what the Korean fans might say. Please just say what you really think. Do you also want the Spurs to sell Sonny?
@@AlasdairGoldjournalist What do *I* think? Well...first of all, its an honor to be interacting with you, Mr @Alasdair Gold. @@AlasdairGoldjournalist fuck. I blew another looong comment I wrote. Since you never got to see my previous comment on your question “what do you think?” Well, i wrote it and my phone froze up. So frustrating.... Well, i cant write it three times now. So Im just gonna reduce it to the main points: 1) Sonny *is* Mr Tottenham. And he got that name for a reason. 2) Selling Son? A) As a Spurs fan, Hell no. Sonny is the best thing to happen to us, since...Harry Kane. We cannot sell Mr Tottenham, ffs. He could just walk into any team he wants and be a starter. He will soon settle in and with a big club team behind him, hed probably score A LOT more than in Tottenham. B) As a Son fan, yes, do so for your career’s sake. If Kane goes to City, just go with him and keep that Son & Kane Show goin. Continue your record and make it unbreakable. So Idk. As a Spurs fan, I cant imagine the Spurs without Son...and Kane either. We really really need him. But at the same time, I feel bad for holding back this guy with so much class from thriving fully as he could with a better team. Hence, I understand Kane’s desire to leave. Sonny also wants the trophy. However, Sonny said he wants it WITH the Spurs. So idk what to say. I guess he rather pour his heart and soul into the Spurs team and go down as a Tottenham legend, than play alongside Lewandowski or Salah, score more goals and lift trophies more easily. Ah shit. This became too long again. Lets just hope it doesnt freeze up this time around.
@@AlasdairGoldjournalist i read an article that Tottenham is interested in Fenerbahce’s Min-Jae Kim. Is that true? I always told other Spurs fans that we gotta get him asap. I watched his recent game, and that dude is perfect for us. Apparently FC Porto, Juventus, Napoli, Newcastle, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal are all lining up for him and they all sent their scouts to Turkey to watch him play. Romero + Kim aka “the monster,” would give us a brickwall infront of the goal. And Kim apparently likes to carry the ball up very high himself, and hes fucking fast too. Hes big, fast and strong. Opponents literally bounce off of him. Spurs did show interest last summer, when he was leaving the Chinese league, but he denied cause he wanted to play in Turkey first for a year to drive his price up. And his price did go up A LOT. What do you think of this player? Do you think we can get him? The competition looks harsh...
Cheers for the vid Ali. Insightful as ever. Quite mixed feelings on this match. We're basically undone by one person and performance wasn't depressing. But I feel the consequences just seem to have multiple knock on effects. Especially on what is feasible for Paratici in the summer. But saying that, Skippy coming back would be a nice boost at least (when it happens..) Looking forward to the smile coming back for the next vid!
Thanks for the Vlog Ally. You’re looking a bit cream crackered mate. Get your head down son. We can’t afford to rest you, there’s no one of the same quality to come in. Bentancur is a quality footballer. He is a class above some of our other options. Really looking forward to him playing with Skipp.
Strange game, I didnt feel spurs played badly. I actually thought it was one of their better performances but as so often is the case you're left scratching your head. Felt like it was destined to be Ronaldo day. Thanks for the update.
The most important summer transfer under levy was under Rednapp when we/he needed reinforcements for 4 spot, but got Saha and Nelson. Then Pochettino needed reinforcements to kick the team on for that title push, and got nothing….. History isn’t looking good for Conte 🤞🏼
@@lustwaffe9000 Yes, and I quote; “In a brand new house, you need new furniture” (Poch) And somehow we went 18 months with no signings, without refreshing the squad remember?
Great Videos as always. It is so frustrating being a Spurs fan that we are always trying to build a winning mentality which will NEVER happen. Son needs a rest or he will continue to be up and down and will eventually get injured. Bring in Bergwign for the Brighton game which will give Son a rest. Take Son out of the team we are around 14th or 15 place, that is how important he is. It is great that Kulusevski is showing signs of helping Kane and Son. It was a MASSIVE MISTAKE taking Kulusevski off against Man Utd, Spurs have got to be the only team that takes their best player off which is typically Spursy. Conte messed up his subs and does deserve some criticism and I don't care if he is a serial winner as I am interested in Tottenham only. We make far too many errors defensively with our back 3 and as for our wingbacks are not only dodgy defensively but also have a poor end product. Our progress over recent seasons are 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th and this season currently 8th which says it all about our downfall. Sadly, our team is lost in space and we just don't know how to get out. We will end up like Everton if things continue as they are. Look forward to the next video which is desperately needed for my ongoing Tottenham therapy, lol.👍.
A really good breakdown of the game Al. I was so disappointed in the result, and mildly uplifted by the way we played. But man, what is going on with Sonny’s studs? COYS
Ali, for a while now I have had concerns about the quality of our medical department. Too many players get niggles that turn in to long term injuries or an injury goes from two weeks out to six months really quickly. There are also far too many recurring injuries happening. I have heard not only Conte mention this but also Mourinho, so maybe the whole department needs a revamp.
Hi Ali and everyone. The symphysis pubis is the joint where the two sides of the pelvis meet at the front. Recovery is slow because nearly every move (or straining - I don't think I need to spell it out....!) you make causes pressure on it.
Exactly. How many seasons has he been consistently our best player along with Kane. People seem to care so much about Kane leaving but i do think Sonny can still leave regardless of his contract renewal, if that happens, Spurs will have a hard time replacing him.
Ali, it must be very hard for you to do this, especially after a long train journey. I watched it on TV and was very down for 24 hrs after so many poor performances. The inconsistency is so frustrating and Son has scored some Great goals but also slips and gives the ball away so often. Fingers crossed against Brighton to at least get a W next game……
Another brilliant vid alasdair, your vids are probably the only thing left us spurs fans can look forward to now lol. Top 4 for me is over another trophyless season roll on next season now 👍stay safe mate COYS #🙏💙🇺🇦
We need 2 signings in summer, a striker to back up Kane, and a creative midfielder to break sides down....we do that and spurs will definitely be a top four side...easily....the rest of the team will come up to scratch....if conte stays...love spurs
Sorry but this is nonsense 2 players are not enough, the wing backs on either side aren't good enough and at least one centre back is needed. City and Liverpool are miles ahead, Chelsea are probably going to dip but not much next season it will take time for the impact of the sanctions to take effect much of the playing staff at Chelsea will remain. Arsenal are a young side and going to improve especially if they invest wisely with a striker and midfielder. Man u will have a new manager and invest as well, add in Newcastle, Leicester and Villa who will improve. I like your optimism but it must be based in reality all that the two players would do is keep the club in the 5-8th conversation.
great video as allways thanks for the insight, it will be very interesting in the summer but regardless of Conte statement i feel like we’ve been going round n round on this for a few years the difference this time is the world class manager if Levy doesn’t gamble now i don’t know he ever will.
Personally I would prefer to finish 8th at this stage. We are clearly not getting 4th and I would love a season with no European distractions to let us have a crack at the league with no distractions. Worked with Liverpool a few years ago.
Was a bad game to loose but the performance was better..I can see the improvement but we need 2 better wingbacks to make what conte want’s work.. keep up the good work alasdair ..information spot on as usual
Strange Spurs again for years our individual players mistakes are fatal, honestly our 4 wing/backs are average we have nobody in midfield that when he gets the ball we can expect a decent creative pass. Mate u know we're in trouble when we need a goal we Bring on Winks.
The fact that a number of our players didn't play too badly but we couldn't get a result shows exactly where spurs are at the moment. Too many players can only be relied on for a 6 or 7 out of 10 performance. We need serious investment (in the starting XI and the squad overall) but knowing Spurs we won't sign a RWB or another striker we'll get great players that we don't need at all
cheers ally your the only thing consistent right now , weve fell way behind arse nil , even west ham , levy must stump up the cash , whats happened to our youth system , why is there no 19 yr 0ooolds ready to go
First season under Antonio, we have a lot to be thankful for......Always room for improvement......Top four is still a possibility......Even if we end up playing in Europa League next season, still an improvement on this season. ( P.S. We certainly were not the inferior side, against Man Utd.....one player made the difference on the day....).
I have had the exact injury/infection that skipp currently have and I was out of football for about 4-6 weeks before I was even able to start training it's a very annoying and rare injury so hope skipp recovers soon
I don't have a big problem with Romero's attitude toward Maguire tbh. Not classy at all i agree but we need some of this "dirty" player attitude at Tottenham, as Mourinho said we're too much a group of good guys. This is not necessarily what he meant when he said to be "c***s" of course, but it's a part of it when you're this aggressive player sometimes you'll be it in less appropriate situations
Some people blamed Lloris for the first goal. But the keeper is expecting his defender to stop the shot in those situations. Dier showed immense foolishness to dare ronaldo to have a shot from there.
Since after another devastating defeat spurs fans are on the floor; I shall come in with a bit of a singalong: "He has 40k subscribers!!! Ally Gold Ally Gold" "There's only one Ally Gold, one Ally Gold"!! Never said the lyrics would be Dylanesque, but will do for such an occasion. Great content as always Ally!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us after another tough match to look back at. Are you possibly falling into the thoughts we do time and time with managers eventually blaming them more then the Board’s contributions or the player’s mentality on the pitch? I just don’t believe it can once again be on the manager at the end of the day for the losses we already predict will happen at teams like Boro and SouthHampton, Mura, Wolves…It’s giving a pass to too many other culpable parties again. Paraphrasing Conte- “The managers keep changing at Tottenham. The situation remains the same.”
Thanks for the video Alasdair. Its so predictable about the results now. To be fair to conte you can tell he has a structure and a style but just not the right personal to carry out the instructions and get the result. Levy just has to back him now or spurs will be stuck in mediocrity with a modern stadium. Looks at yesterday, e.g. dier who has been decent this season was average but last year we all wanted him gone. These players just need to go and fresh faces are required just to give something new. Look at the starting 11 5-6 players were ones who were bench players 4-5 years ago or have been signed with no real thought and aren’t up to the level and don’t suit conte’s style. Lets just pray levy backs Conte.
I cannot remember the last time Spurs just went for a team - a la peak Poch or even Redknapp. If we just showed more bravery in midfield we would close out games like this. Even after 2-2 we seemed subdued. Don't get it.
Right now, Sonny reminds me of Paul Newman of "Cool Hand Luke", where his is an outsider trying to fit in, and he finally win the guys respect, and guys around him love him and find strength from him; however, when he shows some weakness and failures, they started to turn their back on him, and finally, the burden of trying to please everybody gets too tired, and he goes away..... that's life.....
11 very crucial games to determine the future of the club. Need to be more consistent and pull together more wins to try to get 4th. It Makes you wonder how much money Conte/Paratici will get for the summer as this is the most crucial summer for the club in a very long time
Alasdair Gold, this summer is the must-act summer for us. The 5-sub rule is almost guaranteed to be permanent by IFAB. We need a big overhaul to build a deep squad to Spurs with Conte at helm. If we do not, we will be out competed and would never catch up.
Even though Utd played on the counter they also had the savvy to fill the space Harry Kane has been exploiting so well recently. Plus we have no margin of error in this team. If one player ‘misfires’ even slightly, we are likely to lose.
Well at least we know we have a win coming Wednesday 😂 over half the team were shocking and why is a 6ft 4 defender scared of a football? Sorry but I'd have dier used as a target practice in training for turning his back on Ronaldos shot. Till he man's up. Fair play Ali, u put alot of effort in watching and reporting, you got more dedication than me😀👊
Thanks, Alasdair. It's here I come for consistent, balanced comments, as opposed to persistent negativity from some quarters. These include @tehtrunk and @bankcruptspurs, two intermittently amusing creatures who still pine for our departed Pochettino. It seems that as soon as the possibility of the return prodigal son appears like a mirage, it is a cue for such people to bear down on Conté and Paraticci.
What happened with 3rd goal was Romero saw Varane unmarked went to him didn’t communicate to Doherty and than bam. Just shows how bad our communication is
Find it really strange everyone talking about need certain amounts of time on the training ground constantly...... yet we play the exact same formation/tactics/personel every game ?
With the rumours of PSG wanting Parataci, how about PSG offers us Poch and a big pile of cash, Paratici and Conte go the other way and Poch gets the big file of cash to spend. Maybe Conte will turn things around, dunno.
Conte sound like a real Spurs supporter about the team and transfers it like a breath of fresh air, but loosing to these so called lesser teams got to be a lot to do with the players.
I think it’s interesting how our fans turn on all our player except Kane. If Son has a bad run of form “time to sell him”. If Hugo let’s in a few goals “he’s old and done, sell him”. If Lucas doesn’t recreate Amsterdam every game “let’s sell him to fund his replacement”. But when Kane was off for the first half of the season all I heard was “don’t worry, he’ll come around” or “give it time, he usually takes a little longer to score” or “he’s tired from the euros, he’ll be back to normal soon”. Sometimes I wonder what’s up with this bias?
Yeah I remember Kane got a lot of criticism when he was poor in the fist couple of months in the season but fans were even mad because he wanted to leave. I think it’s not that Kane is always an exception but it’s just that spurs fans need to learn how to support their players and not turn on their back based on one or two games.
Thanks for the vid... Re: Sonny, he did slip over at a few critical times Al & no one else seemed to be doing so. I thought at the time he must be using used the wrong studs for the pitch. IMO, Sonny is as important as Kane.
Yeah he once looked at his stud as well. Agree Sonny has been as important as kane. Yes Sonny is not in his best form but if you think about it he has never been in a bad form for the last 4,5 seasons… Just imagine this team without Sonny, I don’t think we can even compete for top 6.
We played well enough to come away with something, we werent amazing but still it was a decent away performance..just those lapses in concentration that let us down. If we can go on a winning run between now and the international break i think wel be there or there abouts at the end of the season..the latest performances look like we may have turned a corner.
Ali, I hate to be right but here we are in the inevitable low following a win in the soap opera that is Tottenham Hotspurs season. Dare we expect a win next week?? To dare is to do!.....right?. Thanks for another great update Ali. You are a machine that never let's me down. A lot like my air fryer. On that note....chips calling. CLUB LEGEND COYS
After seeing Conte’s substitutions on the weekend I’m beginning to wonder if he realises that not getting into Europe wouldn’t be such a bad thing for the club. It would put more pressure on Levy to improve the squad. Plus not being in Europe would give Conte more time to prepare for games. Knowing our luck we’ll probably end up in the conference league again……
Why do you look down upon the Europa Conference League? I'm not convinced Tottenham could even win this competition if they tried to. These sorts of tournaments should be our target, the club needs to prove to the fans but more importantly itself that they can win these minor European competitions. Show that we're at least the best of the rest.
My first Spurs memory was a 3-2 defeat at OT, if it wasn't for the 6-1, I'd be tempted to say not much has changed since then. But I'm not angry, just disappointed lol.
I have to be honest and say I couldn’t see the game on Saturday. But haven’t the recent matches where Harry Kane has been unplayable come against opposition who have taken the game to us and let us play to our counter-attacking strengths? Makes you wish, retrospectively, that we’d stuck our necks out and also tried to bring in Christian Eriksen on a short-term loan deal, as we could really use his creative ability in these games when those tactics are nullified. Great video, as always. Let’s try and finish the season as strong and positively as possible and take that momentum and confidence into pre-season and next season 👊
Not a bad team performance but when individuals were needed to step up and score they didn’t. Story of the season. Next match they will play a blinder- it’s an annoying pattern. Thanks Alisdair!
I hope Spurs finish at least top 6. Not 7th. Would rather get 8th so we can focus only on the league. I believe that's helped Arsenal a lot, only 1 game a week. But that could mean Kane will want a move. I'd prefer Conte spend the 100m to "replace" him than any other manager. We have to keep him at the club. Put up or sell up, ENIC!
Why is it so bad if Kane leave at a right price? As y’all say, Spurs is Kane’s team but he never carried the team to win anything? Now is the time for a change maybe?
Come on Alasdair, you're usually. More positive than this. I thought we played well, we had more possession and we created chances. Son slipping annoyed me a lot. Man United had a good day because of Ronaldo. Some.players looked tired because we don't have much cover on the bench, mybbiggest fear is central midfield because Skipp is still injures. It wasn't that bad. We can still get top 4 with 11 games left and it feels like a good run is.only.around the corner. PS. The Batman was awesome.
Lol although we all know the results beforehand, you can tell by AliG's expression in the thumbnail even before watching the video. Last 4 videos frown, smile, frown, smile haha COYS
Ranveer Singh was also at the match haha, a really famous and talented Bollywood actor, funnily enough he met Ledley a couple days ago at the Stadium (despite being a Gooner)
They can play good only when they have half pitch empty for attacks. They still can't defend set pieces or make significant number of good attacking actions against clubs which defend with a lot of players. Some of them have troubles standing with ball and suddenly fall when they should lead counter attack, some of them try to calm ball down with weaker leg instead of kick volley on 5m with stronger leg. If we think this was good game we have bigger problem than I thought.
How Spursy? Ronaldo been struggling, looked prime 10 years ago. United scored 1 goal from corner in 72 games, it was inevitable they score from a corner against us.

Ali don't apologize for doing quotes of the manager it's good stuff and things can get lost in paraphrasing. We love story time with Ali Gold. Keep the great content coming
Basics
@@epec20 well if so many pro players do it, chances are you'd do it if you were a pro player
Tbf Fred was making a run into the box that had to be tracked. Dier had to keep “an eye” on that. That was obviously a decoy. If he didn’t keep an eye n Ronaldo slid him in, u would be just as mad.
@Young Young true but Sonny may have slipped over on the way over in his banana skin boots 😂
@@wizzypiccaso Good to see someone actually analysed the passage of play before posting. Well done.
I think we are improving.we are missing a bit of quality in a few positions.great video goldie
Many Thanks Ali, for another balanced insight into our club following another frustrating defeat.
Very good analysis and POV! Could we have a podcast version as well in Spotify? Would LOVE that
Already have a podcast - Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham. You can find that on Spotify.
@@AlasdairGoldjournalist Alright! Are these videos that you publish in yt in podcast format as well?
for me it was one of the best team playing performance.. just go on this way. its the right direction.!!!!
Completely agree. If Ronaldo scuffs his shots and we don’t scuff ours then everyone is praising the overall performance
A lot of Korean Son fans are mad at some English people (fans and journalists) that say that Son is “overrated“ and that “Spurs need to either sell him or bench him.”
Some Spurs fans even say that “Sonny is never there for us when we need him the most,” which is probably the most ridiculous statement about Son I have ever heard.
You've just watched this video hopefully. What do you think?
@@AlasdairGoldjournalist What do *I* think? Well...first of all, its an honor to be interacting with you, Mr @Alasdair Gold. I never expected a real answer from YOU...🤯 in panic, i wrote an answer for you, which took at least 30 minutes, because I almost wrote a 500 word essay for you, which I completely deleted by accident. Fml.
BTW, you are *superfamous* in Korea! Hence my panic at your answer....and the stupid deletion of my entire answer to you. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
@@AlasdairGoldjournalist fuck. I blew another looong comment I wrote. Since you never got to see my previous comment on your question “what do you think?” Well, i wrote it and my phone froze up. So frustrating....
Well, i cant write it three times now.
So Im just gonna reduce it to the main points:
1) Sonny *is* Mr Tottenham.
But saying that, Skippy coming back would be a nice boost at least (when it happens..)
Looking forward to the smile coming back for the next vid!
Lots of interesting plots and sub plots this time Alasdair. Keep them coming.
Another great video Alasdair
The most important summer transfer under levy was under Rednapp when we/he needed reinforcements for 4 spot, but got Saha and Nelson. Then Pochettino needed reinforcements to kick the team on for that title push, and got nothing…..
History isn’t looking good for Conte 🤞🏼
Huh? Didnt Poch get Sonny and Dele?
They both thrived unter Poch.
I guess all of DESK did.
@@lustwaffe9000
Yes, and I quote;
“In a brand new house, you need new furniture” (Poch) And somehow we went 18 months with no signings, without refreshing the squad remember?
I can understand your tirednesses, it’s hard work following our team, keep up your awesome content Ali & onto the next game..⚽️👏🏾
Interesting insight into the Sessingnon injury. You are correct Alisdair, there are indeed three muscle groups in a hamstring 👍
A really good breakdown of the game Al. I was so disappointed in the result, and mildly uplifted by the way we played. But man, what is going on with Sonny’s studs? COYS
Ronaldo simply outplayed us. We were playing well, just a little bit of luck and the game could be ours
Put Son up for sale and watch him dominate at Man city or Liverpool. He'd fit in perfectly. But spurs would be absolutely mental to let him go.
The inconsistency is so frustrating and Son has scored some
Great goals but also slips and gives the ball away so often.
Congrats on 40k subs Ali!
Brilliant 👏 wish Spurs were as consistent as you mate !!! Only, I would have given Hobby an 8 not a 7 apart from that in full agreement Sir.
Cheers Alasdair I agree I don’t think we played so bad and the biggest difference was Ronaldo turns up at big games, our front two don’t.
Simple reason: we haven’t got the players.
It's simple. We have too many weak minded, passive players.
We won 5-0 in the last game mate
@@1882Stu yeah, but when have we done it other against the top 6? Other than that freak performance at City?
@@mbenrice I mean that wasn’t the question but… 6-1 against Man U last season?
Right now, Sonny reminds me of Paul Newman of "Cool Hand Luke", where his is an outsider trying to fit in, and he finally win the guys respect, and guys around him love him and find strength from him; however, when he shows some weakness and failures, they started to turn their back on him, and finally, the burden of trying to please everybody gets too tired, and he goes away..... that's life.....
11 very crucial games to determine the future of the club. Need to be more consistent and pull together more wins to try to get 4th. It Makes you wonder how much money Conte/Paratici will get for the summer as this is the most crucial summer for the club in a very long time
Another great video, always helps to pick me up after a defeat….thanks ‘Gold’ as the Koreans say! Haha
Alasdair Gold, this summer is the must-act summer for us. The 5-sub rule is almost guaranteed to be permanent by IFAB. We need a big overhaul to build a deep squad to Spurs with Conte at helm. If we do not, we will be out competed and would never catch up.
Hi Alasdair, back to normal again. Stay safe and well. COYS.
Just shows how bad our communication is
Another Ali G upload, happy days
To be honest, Kane actually got a lot of criticism in that first half of the season, mostly from those upset he'd wanted to leave.
Yeah I remember Kane got a lot of criticism when he was poor in the fist couple of months in the season but fans were even mad because he wanted to leave. I think it’s not that Kane is always an exception but it’s just that spurs fans need to learn how to support their players and not turn on their back based on one or two games.
Re : ROMERO on defending corners ... I just hope he doesn't become like DELE and SISSOKO where teams PICKED ON EM
Spot on about Antonia!!
Cheers Ali, enjoy your day off
Thanks for the vid...
Ah Ali Gold.....some consistency in a consistently inconsistent season 😊☕👍🏾
We have to improve our defending of crosses - Romero in particular.
Problem is you now have to aim for 8th to do that.
Why do you look down upon the Europa Conference League? I'm not convinced Tottenham could even win this competition if they tried to. These sorts of tournaments should be our target, the club needs to prove to the fans but more importantly itself that they can win these minor European competitions. Show that we're at least the best of the rest.
@@checkmate7345 We tried and failed this season, there's your answer. We are NOT even ECL quality.
We didn't try in the Europa Conference we were half hearted about the competition. The rest of the teams saw us as a prize scalp.
@@tonykelly9233 If you wanna believe that sure. Reality is we're just that shit.
Romero (although he did well for Maguire own goal) and Dier were poor - yet its Ben Davies fault no doubt.

Thank you Alasdair stay positive 🙏 but tbh the referee was biased in several occasions
Loved the Little Britain reference
Come on Alasdair, you're usually. More positive than this. I thought we played well, we had more possession and we created chances. Son slipping annoyed me a lot. Man United had a good day because of Ronaldo. Some.players looked tired because we don't have much cover on the bench, mybbiggest fear is central midfield because Skipp is still injures. It wasn't that bad. We can still get top 4 with 11 games left and it feels like a good run is.only.around the corner.
PS. The Batman was awesome.
Top 4 is arsenal’s unfortunately.

Happy birthday!
Agree, too soon for Poch.👍
How Spursy? Ronaldo been struggling, looked prime 10 years ago. United scored 1 goal from corner in 72 games, it was inevitable they score from a corner against us.
Ryan giggs use to get lot of hamstrings injuries when was young as well
