We just traded our 2019 SQ5 Prestige back in January. It was a great car while we had it but was starting to have some issues at 72k. We replaced it with the X5 since I wanted to have another B58 in the family and we're long time BMW owners.
U did the right thing , congrats to u to have x5 like my situation , mine is x5 m40i-2020 used one but it's so smooth, quick as u need it gives u right away.
I like this SQ5! I like how they put a good amount of storage in this. They REALLY need to work on this on other Audis like the A6, A7, A8, Q7, Q8, etc.
I’ve driven both and they are both great vehicles if this is what you need (SUV). Audi if you like buttons and switches, quad exhaust along with active exhaust resonator. BMW if you want more off the line power, more equipment available, lower price than Audi. Why Audi charges extra $1500 for navigation is nuts.
which one would you pick, i only need a car to last me for 2-4 years at most then im getting a brand new one. 2008 acura rdx technology 76kmiles for 10k 2011 audi q5 premium plus 85kmiles for 10k 2018 mazda cx5 110kmiles for 12k
Acura for reliability. Audi and Mazda for performance, design, and quality.. these will be more expensive to own and fix over the Acura though so that’s something you should note
sq5 is the perfect balance between sport and comfort. Audi sq5 is two characters in one car. BMW unfortunately does not give you such an option and they are all performance oriented. BMW doesn't provide air suspension, their suspension is very stiff compared to Audi.
Why do car manufacturer feel the urge to use piano black in most touched areas of a car is beyond me. It scratches and starts looking ugly right off the showroom.
Because it looks nice and you don’t touch it and keeping a microfiber cloth in the glove box is simple. I feel like people who yap about this have filthy homes
@@isimonsez I'm sure you're also the kind who love to have touchscreens in car for simple features like turning on the HVAC. No i don't have filthy homes, but i guess you don't know the difference between dirt/grime and an easily scratched material. Aside from attracting dust Piano black coating is highly susceptible to scratches. I intend to keep a car especially this expensive for at least a couple of years and yeah no amount of microfiber cloth is going to help with that. I'm glad it works for you.
@@sahilsharma881000000% agree, even if you don’t touch it, there will be always dust and scratches over scratches. I hate it, even when the glossy plastic is minimal.
I had an S-Line version of this model for a month as a rental and I liked and disliked the car. It was a love hate and it hurt me to the core that I was putting regular gas in it. Oh welp.
Yeah definitely the Q5 S is on steroids but if you have the cash for it go with the C7 S with the twin turbo V8 that thing is INSA’E! Engineering background with a little bit of a caveat of course that’s if you have the budget for it because the SQ5 is definitely much more affordable you could find a good use the SQ5 for around $50,000
How are you going to tell me that this sq5 sounds better than ma mdx type s 🙆🏻♂️ let's hope that now ma 2025 sounds the same as this one or better because if not it will be a shame
I know the sq5 is built in Mexico. The sticker says transmission is from Germany and engine Mexico. Is the v6 engine actually built in Mexico? Im hoping the engine is assembled in Germany and shipped to Mexico for install..
I should get this car for my boo Shyam so that if he gets in more trouble with the po-po he can get away!!! Joking! I ain’t buying no car for no man! They need to buy a car for my sweet donk!!!! Run and tell that boo!!!!
I have no clue ( I drive Mazda and Honda :P) , however my neighbor has some Audi Sedan from 2014 and he also has a 2016 BMW 3 series and says the Audi has fewer electrical problems after a few years
@@christianbryant5617 Hate to break it to you but 98% of these aren’t ever going to see past 120 MPH, and are sure not bought because of what their top speed are. Yeah of course and this could be my choice.
The infotainment screen is a dealbreaker! Looks like an iPad afterthought. Same with the rear wiper. Tuck it in under the spoiler to clean it up!
The reason the reverse lights aren't LED is so that they will produce heat, clearing ice in the winter.
Excellent review as always!
Nice review keep up the good work fellas
On my second sq5 its a wonderful car and decently quick
At least this Q5 has more storage then the Q7 which has almost none. That why I like the BMW X3 or X5

Insane that Audi offers this car with this steering wheel 😅
Its a bs reason for them to charge extra for the flat bottom steering wheel which should come standard in s lines
Kind of like a Lexus NX which is the most priciest
Lexus is the cheapest out of all its competitors

Anyone would like to talk about the reliability of Audi?
The Sq5 actually is one of the most reliable Audi models. Some says that can last forever. It is true only the time will tell

Probably getting a better deal and prefer the exterior look of the sq5 over the bmw. My bet is on brand loyalty though
Higher top speed, status, more of a lux emphasis.. the only thing the X3M40i has on the SQ5 is it being updated with newer features and tech..

The problem with Audi Q5 is its boring exterior, very outdated ,even SQ badge and pretty good sound does not help it.
