I really hope we get a continuation to this story announced soon. These characters AND the actors deserve it, and I want more from this story. It’s SO good
@@darkron288 it’s weird how eager you freaks are to dunk on people who, unlike y’all, actually like Star Wars. The confidence with which you’re asserting a thing that cannot possibly known at this point (isn’t even known by the suits at Disney yet, they’re still gathering data and the show is gaining viewership each week) and the speed with which you jumped in with your ignorant, uneducated bilge all makes it clear what a sad little person you are.
@@robertomoya4502 the characters showing up in other projects still would count as a continuation. I assume that would be the most likely way for these stories to continue, so I chose those words to allow for the possibility of a season 2 (no way to rule that out yet, we can still hope) or a different way of continuing
Love that shot of Jod looking out the window the look of someone who’s lost it all after being so close to having it all. I also think there a glimmer of hope, like maybe he’s a little glad the pirates are finally gone and he can start fresh Also I got the vibe he was trained post order 66 which is super interesting and not a good time to be a Jedi. I would love to see more about a younger Jod
While staring out of the window watching the end of the battle, I think he was kind of happy/awestruck that his pessimistic view of the galaxy was being challenged. In his life, it was every man for himself. The galaxy was total darkness with only pinpricks of light. "No one is coming to help you!" In that moment, maybe he begins to see that there really are "good guys" who came to the rescue of these helpless people. He's not evil. He could have easily killed every person in that room, but purposely chose not to. Hopefully, this is a new beginning for Jod, and we get to meet up with this character again in the future.
@@jamiedorsey4167 His entire core belief is that the world is cruel and you can't count on anyone, but here, help did come. Perhaps he has allowed a little bit of light and hope into his worldview.
Yeah, SM33 explained how his concubine stabbed him, but before that, he set the ship on course to crash. Watching that happen would make for a fun little prequel short to this show.
It was a wonderful show. The kids were fantastic! Jod was a great villain. Wim's dad was so wholesome, jumping with the hoverbike, his proud system engineer moment, and later Wim looking at him in awe after he punched Jod was really special. That's the heart of shows like this. Joy and happiness!
If there ends up being a season 2 a perfect opening for me would be a flashback to whatever actually happened to Tak Rennod and how that ship got buried on that planet without anyone knowing. Then a smash cut right back to Jod standing there in the supervisors tower right after this season.
So they really messed up not starting this episode as flash back of SM-33 and the old captain finding At attin and fighting the crew and crashing into the planet completely unnoticed. Something was definitely missing it seemed like.
So Jod was the padawan of a Jedi who survived the initial purge before the Empire killed her right in front f his eyes. That smile at the end. Was that a Eno Cordova moment: "hope will always survive in those who continue to fight" ? Like was Jod happy to be proven wrong, that sometimes good people can prevail? Also what a open ending. Really makes me think they are hoping for a season 2 (and i am too). 😁
Flabbergasted I ended up enjoying this infinitely more than the likes of Ahsoka! Good sign that Star Wars can still surprise and as always thank you BlindWave for being a positive place!🎉
"If droids could think, there'd be none of us here" is a line from Obi-Wan in Episode II, in Dexter's Diner. I can picture the mullet when he says it, and I definitely hear it in Ewan's voice.
This was a really great finale to a wonderful show. I loved every second. I do think the ending was a bit abrupt and I would have liked a bit of an epilogue, but hopefully we can get another season or at least see these characters again in the future.
The fact he said generations since the last emissary makes me feel like either he wasnt talking about order 66 and Jedi were called traitors before or while they did receive order 66 it was only the message they received and it was because it was sent everywhere and not because it was sent directly to them. I still think they are talking about either the Old or High Republic
At the end I feel like there is a piece of Jod that is ok with the way things turned out. His entire life was sort of drawn in the direction it was by the Republic Collapsing, The Jedi who found him and offered him a better future was herself on the run and ends up being brutally murdered in front of him. So, everything he viewed as good was wiped out and left to fend for his own survival. Its why he repeatedly speaks to the fact there are no good guys coming to save the day etc. His entire life was one big tale of the good guys losing and not showing up to save the day. These kids however stayed believing and in the end they were right and good guys did arrive.
I squealed like a little girl at the overpowered B-Wing beams! I'm 48! Always gives me great delight seeing anything from Rebels in live action. I actually felt a bit for Jod at the end, seeing his pirate ship come down. Its all he's known since that horrible day when he was supposed to be training as a Jedi, but it got took from him, so he decided to take from others. Perhaps however, the force was working through him, as due to his actions, he and the kids help free a people from servitude, so perhaps he may realise he could be more than a pirate, and maybe find the Path Of The Jedi. A fun show, hoping for more again sometime. Especially with the weighty Andor coming soon.
Same. Every time he's not in a series, I notice it right away and always ask why isn't here there for this one. Does he live further away, or is he generally more busy than the other members?
I'm happy with how this show left off, we don't get all the answers but we don't need them to complete the story either, it was well done in pretty much all aspects and if we do get more down the line, great, if not, also great, I'm very pleased with what we got here...and extra pleased with the B-Wing love.
Jon Watts only directed the first and last episodes. This actually had a crazy director lineup, like the Daniels (Everything Everywhere All at Once), David Lowery (The Green Knight) or Jake Schreier (Beef, Thunderbolts*)
It was a really good show. How ironic that when you get writers/directors who know how to tell a story and actors who look like they actually want to be there can actually make something good.
Deep down inside Jod did care about the kids. He was as distraught about KB's fate as the kids were. It sounds like Jod was a bokken Jedi padawan, and lost all faith in the galaxy after seeing his master hunted down and killed, who to that point, was likely the best thing he knew in his short life. His entire view of the world was shaped by that event.
I have a bad feeling that the vaults on this planet may be what funds the group that becomes the First Order. In the sequel trilogy they are shown as having Empire-like resources that far outshine the New Republic and that has to come from somewhere and relatively quickly.
I feel like now that the new republic now know the location of At Attin, Thrawn will end up hearing about it and will make his way to the planet. I wonder if that’s what the new republic movie with Ahsoka and Mando will be about.
Seeing a squad of X-Wings ALWAYS puts a smile on my face, but seeing B-Wings fly with them and cut through that pirate ship like it’s nothing actually made me cheer.😅😅
Without defaulting to "it all needs to happen in that same place", I'd imagine that the Supervisor has limited intelligence, so it didn't have enough malice to test the Emissary's credentials until he announced he was also a Jedi, because then it conflicted with previous information. Then again, if the Emissary also had to provide a password it would make the system much safer as well, so we have to assume they simply didn't count on being tested... Poor planning.
My only problem is why would putting the lightsaber in the light would break the entire thing and not just the glass and maybe the wires connecting the light but that machine was HUGE so i don’t see it breaking that quickly
Would love a spin off show with Jude laws character Jod maybe him and vane are the only ones that get away and find a new crew ran by Hondo. Just want more pirate lore, culture and characters.
good old plot armor, at this point whats the point of having bad guys with blasters when they can't hit shit no matter how ``elite`` they are. also its pg 12 so there is no way they would show a kid getting shot.
This show has shockingly had some GREAT ship action. Seeing B-Wings AND x-wings kicking ass again….man, even the CR90 was good to see. We gotta ask how BOBF’s speeder action looked like trash and this looked amazing SEASON 2: Crew pilots the Onyx Cinder to At-Achrann, Neal helps Hayna’s people win…and put her in charge of a new, peaceful society.
I feel At Attin was partially kept less advanced tahn the technology of the time. Things were not super crazy hyper techno. But still relatively futuristic while staying believable. That maybe why vehicles were on tracks and speeders cant go high anyway.
Really solid enjoyable show, I guess expectations are always higher for a finale but I feel like every episode was as consistently good as each other. I kinda wish they’d stop leaving stories open ended though because the rate they cancel things it makes me feel that this will just be another Solo and Acolyte that never gets completed
