Add to blender add your extra seasonings including peanut butter, 2/3 of your broth , pour in pan , use remainder broth, re-blend to remove rest of mole! Get hot, taste… salt if needed… abuelita chocolate to taste ! I work smarter, not harder. Plus you won’t ruin your Teflon. I LOVE THAT YOU USE BOTH CHOCOLATE AND PEANUT BUTTER. In a pinch, I’ve used hersheys syrup and cinnamon. But only in a pinch
I didn't grow up eating mole, either. My mom never cared for it, so she never made it. It wasn't until I was living on my own that I fell in love with it. The Doña Maria glasses are so cute!
3 ingredients! Exactly how my grandmother and mom make the sauce. I am the go during the week. So I buy a rotisserie chicken and shred. Quick and easy meal to feed my little family
The struggle is real with that Doña Maria jar! I thought I finally had it down, but of course, when the camera is rolling, all of a sudden I can't open it! Lol This recipe is perfect with rotisserie chicken. Just shred it and drop in the pan with the mole and you're in business.
ty marcy. i live in the UK and have not had mole in like 6 years. I have also become vegetarian during this time but my mom sent me some of the dona maria jars and i decided that i was gonna try a vegetarian version of this. wish me luck. but thank you because i needed ingredient sizes and my mom always made mole by judgement calls as she was cooking it which is not something i am use to doing whilst cooking.
Marcy, I’ve loved mole my whole life 😋 , but seeing my older generation family members make it was time consuming. Your short cut will make me (‘the Spanish Pioneer Woman’) of my home 🥳 , by the way- your makeup is beautiful ☺️, And I ❤️ your ponytail hair style. Appreciate you helping us out with short cuts. 🙋♀️ question : where did you buy the ingredients? Local HEB / Walmart or Mexican store ?
Walmart carries Doña Maria sauces, but I typically go to Food City for my Mexican spices. Thanks for the comment. I enjoyed reading it and love that you are the Spanish Pioneer Woman! Sounds like you may need your own cooking channel, too.
Oops,I used a little more than half the jar lol I wasn't sure how much 1 part was 😅😅 but it still came out super thick and good, added pb,cocoa powder, cinnamon and sugar and it came out yummy lol. At least now I know what to do thank you!
On your chocolate cakes loose the knife try a box grater. i use cinnamon chocolate for mole flavor note in my Chili contest adding chocolate end of cooking just before serv
Hmmm, maybe I can make some shredded chicken and make both chicken salad with potato and carrots, and some mole...got a jar that's been in the cupboard for a long time, see if it's still good...
If you mean spice it up with a little heat, I use ancho chiles when I make mole from scratch. You can check out that recipe here: th-cam.com/video/goqtR2G9tv8/w-d-xo.html
I do some thing a little similar except I combine the paste with chocolate chips, water/stock, and cinnamon. I just whisk it in a pan till it’s all combined and use accordingly. Pretty much the only thing I use it for is chicken or enchiladas. I’m curious does anybody have other uses for it. I’m trying to make it more versatile in my kitchen.
@@marcyinspired1442 thank you. So obviously back in 2024. And I do have one last question. What would you say is a good vegetable side to go with a mole entrée. Whether it’s enchiladas or chicken mole proper.
@@marcyinspired1442 Thank you for replying. That really means a lot! I've always thought it was ridiculously messy, but I was concerned it might change the flavor profile and/or texture if I skipped that step.
A round Abuelita chocolate tablet is exactly what you need. The other ingredients are listed in the description box beneath the video, if you need them for reference. Thanks for watching!
Mole is typically a dry chilies mixture that they make into a thick paste. Adding peanut butter and/or chocolate gives it a more creamy and sweet flavor. It does not taste like brown gravy. Everyone makes it differently and there are a lot of different variations of mole because it can be made with different types of chilies.

Exact recipe I got from my mom. We absolutely love it! And the jars are perfect for juice or wine! I've got quite the collection!
That's awesome. And that's a perfect use for those little jars.
I've seen a lot of people use those mole jars for Coke/soda.
I didn’t grow up eating mole, but I have grown to love it. I think I like it even more because of the little Doña Maria glasses. 🫗

I add a can of drained chickpeas to the shredded chicken in mole sauce and serve on flour tortillas with crumbled fresco queso on top. Delicious.
Sounds delish. Thanks for the comment.
Great idea! Thanks!
My goodness! At last! A really easy simple Dona Maria Mole. Thank you.🎉😊
I tried using a zester on the chocolate tablet, and it worked wonderfully.
Wow, Simple enough!! That jar tho!! I gonna try this first with that Rotisserie Chicken!!

Exactly what I was looking for
Nice and easy thank you!!☺️
Adding A bay leaf gives it that authentic taste too
Great tip. Thanks for watching!
Very nice. I will be trying this recipe in the near future.
This version is definitely easy, so I hope you do!😊
Completely different from the way I am used to making it, but I’m in deed gonna try your version!
Thanks Marcy!
How do you make it? I'm so curious. Do you put it in the blender? I've done it like that before.
Yes- but I also add a full soda, and just a tad of chicken broth. A recipe I learned from my mother-in-law years before I even started liking it 😁
@@patf6220 Oh, wow! I bet that's good.
When you come visit me🤞🏼- I’ll make it for you🥰
Thank you. Molé is my favorite dish. The chocolate chicken is the best
I have tried several recipes online but haven't yet enjoyed any if them. Maybe this ome will do the trick! Thanks, Marcy!
Hope it works for you. Thanks for the comment.
Can't wait to try it!!
So, I was wondering did you make it or not? How did it come out?
I make this by the 1 cup. My hubby likes his extra hot Hatch red Chile added to it. I’ve never tried it with peanut butter in it.
Hope you give it a try with the peanut butter. I really love it in there.
You have to turn the glass upside down( on plate). Pry Those three areas with a knife… easy Peasy. Flip right side up and jar is open.
Thanks for the tip, and for watching!
My husband made it and it was delicious!
Glad you liked it!!

That sounds like a great plan. I love when you can get two completely different dishes from one cooked chicken.
What should I add if I want to spice it up some? Thank you so much for posting!!!

I have tried to make Mole many times but could never succeed 🙁. This might be the way for me.
There is no shame in making mole from a jar. Only recently did I learn to make mole from scratch. You've just gotta go with what works for you.
Great taste using whole chocolate disk. Wouldn't add any cheese inside - didn't add anyhinf. Also, extra can be frozen for later use.
Do you fry the corn tortillas first before you start to roll them with cheese?

Mole goes good over beef or pork, too. If I have any leftover, I'll even pour it over a cheese omelette.

So were just thinning it out and addong chocolate
Which chocolate do you recommend for mole?
Is it better to dip the tortillas in the mole before rolling?
It's just messier, but you can do it either way.

So I have to pre cook the chicken??
I blend mine in the blender I did not know you can just dissolve it lol
Great mole sauce recipe, definitely not the American cheese idea

Where can I buy the Mexican chocolate?

Why would you chop the chocolate? It will dissolve in minutes...
The Mexican hot chocolate does not just dissolve it takes some effort
Pensé que estaba en español 😂
