So strong! Thanks for your thoughtful insights and analysis -- I could imagine making some of those moves and feeling those holds. Also, I just want to make sure you know that content like this would be just as fun to watch (in my opinion) even if you don't manage the final send.
I'm now at a point where I'm so emotionally engaged in your videos that I get really excited and happy when you send stuff! Also I quietly get angry at you when you're doubting your skill. Never underestimate yourself!
I love your videos, I am nowhere near this level in bouldering (my max is 6a/6a+) but the way you document and explain the problems and your own thinking process and beta creation is so so interesting, it has encouraged me to change my approach and use my brain in a much better way. On top of that I always find the camera angles perfect :) and your voice is quite soothing hehe. It is really nice to see you progress also - keep up with the good work (both climbing and youtubing ahah)!
awesome job! glad you got the sends! I've said it before but worth repeating, i love the editing style of your videos, very educational and so calming :) i look forward to your next video!
Great video! Love the images you get with all the B-roll and the colours look fantastic! It's clear you put a great amount of effort in to your videos and I just want to say thank you, they are a treat to watch!
I really like the wider shots in the gym while still having great audio quality for your voice. This is the first video with a lav mic, right? How annoying do you find wearing the setup while climbing?
It is! Usually we film with a directional but I think we’ll be using the lavs more often. They make the audio much clearer and it’s so much easier when there’s music playing in the gym. Honestly, I don’t find carrying them that bad, even though our wires are quite long. The worst part is being able to hear my breathing SO loudly when listening back to the clips haha. 🤣
Hey! Nice video and congrats on the sends! I have one question about the first problem - from here (my comfortable desk) it looks like it'd be better to use the big round (the doughnut-like) hold as an undercling and not as gaston as you switch to undercling anyways after the next 1-2 moves. If you'll use it as an undercling it'd take off the tension from the shoulders, and also it looks more solid. Just a thought...
Hi, thanks for watching and commenting! Yes it does! I tried again and again to go up into the undercling straight away but I wasn't strong enough on the pull to hold myself in to the wall. I think that's definitely how it was set to be climbing though!
First Video I saw. Really chilling vibe and a lot to learn from you for me as a beginner/amateur. On the last Boulder you attempted it would be nice to have a wider angle of filming so we can see the positioning of your hands and feet simultaneously. Otherwise keep up the great work!
Really nice sends! How much of your bouldering sessions do you approximately spend on your projects? I find it very difficult to not overdo projecting..
Thanks! It depends on how much progress I’m making usually! Normally we’ll climb for around three hours and I can spend 45 mins of that on one climb - but I might leave it and come back to it over the session so I’m not doing the same moves over and over again. 😊
Yeah! It’s really great not having to shoot over the gym music and having clear audio. Still getting used to listening to my deep breathing on playback though! 😆
great video hannah! working the stuff you are not good at is ALWAYS worthwhile...probably the best thing you can do. props! nice sends! what does it mean though when you have the graphic on the side 6B to 6C (9:49)? I understand the grades but not sure how that translates to what you are doing.
At 9:49 it’s just showing what the grade of that climb is. The problems are given grade ranges rather than a set grade so it could be anywhere between 6b & c if that makes sense! Maybe I placed it a little funny so it wasn’t clear! 😊
@@hannahmorrisbouldering lol oops i totally didn't realize that was just a range for the grade. i saw that shown in another video and thought it was like a grade you were working towards or something 🤦♂️
Well done your generating amazing power in your climbing. Try as I might I personally just don't get on very well indoors ( having said that I haven't been indoors since March!! ) .keep it up love your energy and enthusiasm. If you both get over Staffordshire gritstone let me know.
Thanks very much, I find that I feel more confident to really commit to moves indoors, but the comp style stuff does get me scratching my head! Yes, we definitely will. Really glad you enjoyed! :)
Great vid :)
Ahhhhh, means a lot coming from you guys. Thanks. :)
@@hannahmorrisbouldering Really rated the animations on the climbs 🤙🏽
Hannah! lovely problems and I love your descriptions of the individual moves and the filming is A++++ :)
Thank you Faye! I have my glamorous assistant Nathan to thank for the climbing shots. 🤩

You're so welcome! Really glad to hear that the videos are useful and you can imagine what the boulders are like to climb! :)
Your videos are great! Love the simple yet insightful edits/air comments too haha
I appreciate that! Really glad you're enjoying the videos!

Those were some really interesting problems- nice route setting! Brilliant climbing and video as per usual Hannah.
Thanks so much Elisa. The setting is really great - we're spoiled. :)
Solid effort! Always nice to see people working the same problems I had trouble on. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Kieran 😊
Loved this, can’t wait for the next one!! 🥰

Do you feel the panic of the dreaded reset when projecting? I always find that motivating. Nice breakdowns of the problems, and filming!
Haha absolutely! The first of the three problems was a panic session before the comp wall got reset ;)
Thanks, glad you enjoyed!
@@hannahmorrisbouldering haha. No problem.

Great job. Amazing video
Thank you!
Thank you for creating this. Liked it a lot. Do you film using gimbal?
I don't! I really wish we had one but the stabilisation in this is just some stealthy use of warp stabiliser!

Thanks! Will try to get a better look at the overall climbs next video 😊
hey you make great videos and your a really good and confident climber, i would love to meet you one day :)
AHAHAHAAA wasn't the first to like, but first to comment XD
Haha! First comment though! :D
You really need a ground crew to cheer you through the rough spots (and maybe climb a little less British and a bit more American 😁 7a WooHoo

It's Volume 1 in the South East! Well worth a visit if you're in the area. Tricky setting & super friendly staff. :)
you gotta get your camerman to show the hold you're going to, not just the hold you're on.
