In the video at 1:06, the trees shown were actually Jackfruit trees, not Marang trees. Boiled (unripe) bananas eaten with fish sauce or soy sauce are common dishes among less affluent Filipino families. Budbud, an elongated Rice Cake eaten with pure Cocoa drink, is also a popular food among ordinary Filipino households.
We're grateful for your appreciation of our country, the Philippines, the weather is hot in summer. I hope you guys enjoy staying in the Philippines . I'm watching here from HK .
When there's a typhoon and can't afford to buy veggies at market due to strong winds,we use green banana as comfort food by sauteing it with sardines and with malunggay leaves..in bisaya it's common to dip boiled bananas to salted fish sauce..😃👍
Thanks for all vlogers because seeing 👀 all around the pilipinas very beautiful sometimes I got vacation there in riyad always watching...to all vedios ..
The beginning part of the video when you showed Jackfruit which is called "Langka". That's one of food I'd miss in Philippines and the type of cook has to be " ginataang langka spicy"
@@hellophilippines513Unripe jackfruit is greenish in color and is eaten as vegestable when cooked. Ripe jackfruit is yellowish in color and has a sweet aroma. Just slice it open and enjoy.....
@@hellophilippines513 the green, unripe jackfruit can be cooked like curry and the ripe yellow jackfruit is so sweet! My favorite fruit!🎉 by the way, congratulations in finding pink pineapples!

Lol! I can't stop myself from laughing, watching you guys trying some Filipino delicacies like plantain banana(saba)with fish sauce( bagoong)😂😂😂. You are such an amazing family. Thank you for sharing your unique experiences. From San Diego with love ❤️
Try to make SUMAN that's very easy to make.only have to do is boiled the sticky rice ang put a melted sugar and mixed and put into the banana leaves.thats all...
boiled saba banana can only be eaten with fish sauce if it is not ripe, some even use just a salt or shrimp paste. Partially ripen saba banana is use to make banana chips. But if saba banana is half ripen and boiled you can eat it on its own or make it banana cue or turon. If it is full ripen then it is use to make what we call maruya. Full ripen bananas is also used in making banana catsup and also vinegar. FYI.
it's normal to become a pink color pineapple specially new born or growing after one or two months it become green and ready for harvest😊 those pine apple is native less of fertilizer that's why its small
That coffee house is near Balinsasayao. I've ate breakfast there twice. By the way the fish sauce is called ginamos. And the budbud with chocolate is always available in Dumaguete Public Market..it's called Painitan. Go there early morning. Fresh budbud and chocolate!!
ohhh Lyn already notice that,,I also thought Aircon is the best just only in the city but in provinces no need Aircon coz fresh cold air because of lots of trees 🌴 and ☘️☘️ to make the sorroundings a bit colder than City,,also the air is clean and fresh, the food is fresh and organics all 🥰🙏❤in bisayas we have different styles of cooking than other cities
That is a fermented fish... We call it 'GINAMOS'... its a sidedish or can be a condiment because of its saltiness.... Squeeze a calamansi on it to less the saltiness
Try Jackfruit it is more addicting than Mango and Lanzones. It has a pleasant smell also. It has a big seed and you can boiled the seed and you can eat it. It so delicious
The big tree at the beginning of the video is actually jackfruit and called langka/nangka locally. Bananas here in Philippines have different variety. The bananas that you eat when its ripe is tundan/lakatan which is usually found abroad like in Korea. The saba/cardaba is usually used for cooking ripe and unripe. It is sweet when ripe, but starchy and bland when it is unripe, that is why it is paired with the salted/fermented fish.
Hi Hello family, I think you better try the "NILUPAK". It's a local snack made from crushed banana or camote root crop and blended with coconut and butter. You may Yahoo or Google seek this snack in the web.
fermented fish sauce is bagoong isda. Not the other fish sauce(patis) orange in color. I don't know about cebuano. I think that's not chocolate but a coconut caramel sauce.
On our farm, we love eating boiled bananas + fish sauce. If you have a green mango (the sour one) you can try different styles on how you eat it, You guys can try this combo 👇 1. Green mango + soy sauce & brown sugar. 2. Green mango + salt & chili. 3. Green mango + shrimp paste (Normal or the spicy one). Meanwhile, me eating boiled camote + brown sugar right now for dinner.🤣
banana (semi ripe) with a garlic fried fish sauce is very addictive. Fish sauce should be fried enough so that the oil separates from the sauce and you can distinctly smell the garlic.
