I set up a poly that was so bloody complex and tbh you coaxed more variety of tone than that system could muster in about a quarter the space! Your keys skills are great too. You've always got something tasty ready to play. Really great vid as always :)
Wow hearing those SK-1 drums such was a nostalgia hit. It was my first keyboard as a kid ($5 thrift store find) and those drums are ingrained into the deep recesses of my brain
What a toy box to unpack! You are just the right person to show off Nifty Keys possibilities. Thanks for the warning on how complicated this was for you. I'm sure I'm not there yet! hah Getting to sit down with a new video from you is pure joy.
I wonder what would be the utility module use to do the same thing. "4x CV + gate outs - can be split by keyboard zone and used polyphonic or monophonic modes". Would be interesting to see how and i could achieve the same result using a keystep for exemple.
@@TheUnperson I am indeed. Some indication of what function mode you're in would've been nice but otherwise having fun getting my head around the infinite possibilities. Sorry I found your video after I'd ordered mine and missed your affiliate link. I'm sure I'll be tempted by something else though. Thanks again. 😁
People have been sleeping on these Nifty cases! They're such a great way to get into modular! First and foremost, they are affordable! Maybe not the NiftyKeyz so much compared to the NiftyCase but what you get with the Keyz for $600 would easily cost twice that if you tried to do it yourself and it still wouldn't have the same functionality. They took all of the best features of standalone keyboards and combined it with the freedom of modular to choose what voices etc you load it with. It's the best of both worlds!!!
How many wires were connected to the colander? This sounds absolutely amazing, it gets deep too. Hows the keybed, is it FATAR like or even FATAR? Something wonderful abt this setup, not for me though as I simply don't have the room or height for something like this. AT sounds amazing on this, not that it makes the sound but the AT patch is just divine. Bloody lovely is an understatement lol.

This channel is the easiest thing to be subscribed to. Always something musically wonderful with the sonorous design discussion on top.
haha cheers man! I'm very glad you're enjoying it! :)

Cheers man! Would love to see some footage of that monster poly!! ;)

An SK1 for 5 bucks! Won't find many bargains like that kicking around these days!

Thank you! Yea it was a bit of a head-scratcher but modular is good for building patience lol
Man, this all sounds amazing! 🤩 I was just looking at the niftykeyz wondering why things like this weren't more common
Thank you! Yea there was a Waldorf one that was similar but it's been discontinued I think...
Sold! Glad I’ve just discovered your channel!
Thanks for the comment! :)

Maybe some kind of MIDI to CV converter with multiple pitch outs? lol I'm not sure...
Absolutely massive.
wow, great as ever! thanks!
I thoroughly enjoy the musicality of your demonstration. Truly inspiring.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)
A super and inspiring demo, thanks. My niftyKEYZ is in the post, and I can't wait to get stuck in 😁
Glad you liked it! Hope you’re enjoying the niftykeyz ☺️

They're definitely incredible value for money, but I wouldn't recommend sleeping on one!
I’m always amazed how you can smoothly talk while playing in your intros. Lovely video as always, niftykeyz looks cool af
My brain/CPU is always maxed out when making the intros lol

The colander was at CPU capacity! It's definitly not a FATAR keyboard as this is a very affordable case - but it plays absolutely fine :)
Beautiful sound, beautiful bass. The fifth up (is it a fifth ?) after touch is lovely, Max Richter vibes. Very neat
I do love a fifth up! I'm not too familiar with MaxRichter - will be checking out his music thanks!
