he got pile drived literally right before that, probably saw his life flash before his eyes...got knocked into the shadow realm....weird how they didnt add any ccontext and let the audience think it was just negative body language
@ yeah kinda lame to be honest that a couple different sports talk shows didn’t give the context for this and were painting it like he just didn’t care when it’s just not the case at all
Isn’t this the same franchise that said Justin Fields was the problem. It’s obvious he was never the problem that it was actually the front office. They’re repeating the same things they have done for the last 3 to 4 first round draft picks at quarterback.
Caleb is always off platform. He can’t consistently stay in rhythm of offense. He was that way at OU and USC but was able to hero ball his way out of it. His athleticism is below most defenders in NFL so it’s not working at this level.
Yes. Because you drafted the guy with the intention of giving him time for him to adjust to the league, in all ways, not just on field play speed. The worst thing you could do is toss the weight of having to save the season on his shoulders. If Kirk is gonna sink the ship he is captain of, you’re gonna have to let him sink it by himself. Then, and only then, can you give the young guy his own ship, with no fear or unnecessary added expectation, for the remainder of the games this season, if there are any. And at worst, the young guy will have his own ship to captain next season.
are they though? they still gotta play LAC, Cincy, and KC. If they lose out and the Bengals win out, then the Bengals would be in. I don’t see the Broncos losing to a KC team that will most likely be resting everybody including Mahomes though.
You say this as if he's the first player to be in pain in a football game. Physical and mental toughness includes not showing such visible displays of pain. He was hunched over and pouting. That's very BAD body language from your franchise QB, and if you've played any organized sports, body language matters!
@michaelstrickland6108 That's not body language though guys!! That's just your body being in total agony due to getting absolutely demolished (from his blindside to boot so he couldn't even brace for it) 60 seconds beforehand. Body language is looking disengaged or exasperated which Caleb has not done anymore than any other player on that team. DJ on the other hand..
I'm a guitar teacher. I have all my students play with a metronome for timing. Then I can't express enough to avoid practicing bad habits. Caleb needs to sleep with a metronome 1 Mississippi 2 Mississippi pass...... Then the Bears need to get him off the field because on the field, he is making bad habits and play second nature. For example, his ball has one speed. Everything doesn't need to be 60 mph. Caleb needed to sit up in the booth with an OC calling plays.
Straight up body language, everyone is making excuses for him. Justin Fields did more with less. That stuff in college isn't gonna resonate in the NFL holding the ball way to long and receivers are open.
Despite a quick release, Caleb had a tendency to hold onto the ball too long in college. This was written off as his feeling that he needed to play hero ball. Justin Fields had the same tendency while with the Bears. Both took a lot of "coverage" sacks or the O-line was blamed for many of both players sacks. Both have also made great plays that give or gave you hope. But when you look again at many of the plays on which both Caleb and Fields have taken sacks, you note that both held the ball for 4 to 5+ seconds and that both routinely had players open on check downs or elsewhere on the field. One of my critiques of Fields was his inability to go through his progressions or see the field enough to find open receivers. Caleb may have the same issue. Hopefully as Caleb gets more familiar with NFL defenses, he'll process better and find the open receivers he's missing. But there's always the possibility that he won't.
😂 0-16. In his defense he is very careful with his tone and language when he talks about quarterbacks so he's not slamming dudes like Steven A or skip who weren't good at anything except talking
I personally appreciate dans insight. yea he wasn’t great but he can explain what’s it’s like being a QB in the nfl compared to a lot of people who haven’t even played the sport.

Looks to me like he was wanting his Mommie 😂 He is finding out that NFL ain’t NCAA! His so called great skills are more than matched in the NFL! My guess is he does not watch film enough. I would be calling Tom Brady for help to learn how to play the QB position 🙏
The most important hire in their history was last yr and they blew that and ruined calebs' 1st yr, so this time it would be the 2nd most important hire.
So many overreactions to a rookie having a rookie type season. Everyone constantly glossing over the fact Peyton Manning had 28 interceptions in his rookie season with a decent roster and look how he turned out
I understand being tough on Caleb cause he hasn’t showed significant improvement. You all know coaching matters period. Zero stability zero consistency on play calls zero security in the pocket jeez. I Been looking at two things, above avg players have much more time in the pocket, confidence in the play call, cohesiveness with team mates. The lay ups he misses look like a player who is trying to hard for the big play even on the sacks he takes there’s plenty of time to take off and run but you can see he wants that big play everyone knows who played the game when your in a rut and losing without the right staff it doesn’t end well, Personally I feel like with a great coach and great vets around him he will be ok, confidence in all of life is number one and he is beat down right now. We all know he is super talented and can play don’t forget he is a Rookie, structure him and coach him. Every other rookie has all that characteristics in the organization and team, he has the opposite. Stick with him and hold others accountable
Why are we forced to listen to Dan on anything except how to make a lot of money with very limited talent... I agree with him on a lot of things but I can't figure out why that would matter to me... c'mon man...we can do better than Dan Orlovsk...trash....
Black quarterback privilege. Gayleb’s numbers are considerably worse than Sam Howell through 17 starts. Gayleb just has a ton dropped INTs and garbage stats….
Obvious homophobic and just plain dumb remarks aside (smh).. what's your point?? Dan's flat out saying that his play this year has been disappointing, and no one credible is really saying otherwise. That said, there's obviously major failings from the organization as a whole coaching/personel which has also contributed to his poor play. He's a rookie and they drafted him 1st overall, so they really have no other choice than to try and make it work. This team was not winning the superbowl this year, so they need to continue to build on their future which will largely be determined on Caleb developing into a franchise QB.
These idiots only see this and don’t see how he had just got lit up . Dude is in pain, he’s been the only player acting like a professional all season. You want to pick on a player (s) pick on WR Moore and CB Johnson those are supposed to be the leaders but have been acting more like spoiled immature player who got paid and can now act up
To be fair for this narrative of Caleb’s body language, that was after he got absolutely SMOKED and I think he was just hurting.

Sean swallowed 90 million to go to Nix (and is playoff bound) but ATL going to Penix is absurd?
nix has 14 games of experience at this point and went through the learning experiences. the falcons dont have the time to give that to penix.
Terrible coaching choices by Atlanta..
As an atl fan. Big disappointed in Raheem this year. We all want penix
