Dude, first off my compliments to building a beautiful truck. Love it. I have an ‘83 GMC K2500 with a 10” lift, full hydro PSC steering, 39.5x18x15 BOGGERS mounted on Eaton 15”x12” bead locks, a bone stock 350 small block, and the SM465 manual 4 speed, dana60 front with ARB air locker, GM 14 bolt rear with a spool. Yes I had to do some significant fender trimming both front and rear. But I wanted a lower center of gravity. It’s not my daily driver, but I do average about 2k miles a year.
hey man, just saw your page and build. Sweet truck! love the boggers. my square came with 39.5's when i bought it. they are bald now but i got years of good use out of them. your truck is super clean looking. Great job man.
The tan one on your channel? My tires are 18 inches wide with 16.5x14 wheels and 3.5 backspace I only have 6 inches of clearance at full turn now think of hitting a rut what happens to the clearance
I had an 84 gmc and added power windows. I tried the factory harness and they were very slow . I had dual optima batteries and a 120 alternator. Anyways I removed the factory window harness , and I ran 2-8 gauge oxygen free cables from Phoenix gold to relays under the dash by my glovebox . I used the factory buttons , and cut off the connectors from the harness and ran 24 gauge from the doors back to the relays . The buttons had no correct going threw them anymore and were only used as triggers for the relay . The guy at the glass shop said I had the fastest windows he had ever seen in a square body lol
@@MR1967galaxieLTD yeah all I can find is 12 wide. Do you think a 12 wide wheel on a 1350 wide tire would stick out the fenders or do you think it would be sucked in?
@@MR1967galaxieLTD BOGGERS going down the road are a sound most people will never understand. I relate it to having an escort of P51 Mustangs overhead.
You can move axle forward a good amount like I did for clearance. You will also need to move shackel hanger for rear of spring forward also. This may not work with the length of your front driveshaft if its already short.
I’m sure it’s probably too late by now. But with that build I wouldn’t bother with the crossover steering. You’d be better off with a full PSC hydro steering system mounted on Artec Fab’s hydro front truss steering bracket. The PSC system is about $1500 and the Artec Fab bracket is under $300 And I don’t care what all these online off-road geniuses say about full hydro steering. It is perfectly legal in almost every state. I’m in California, we have some of the stupidest and strictest laws and hydro steering is legal here. My cousin works for the CHP. Just my advice.
They are 39.5 boggers. For 35's I would do 8inch lift springs, but make sure thats the size you REALLY want. You will need front driveshaft made, maybe rear driveshaft, shocks, brake lines, regear axles.

I love it, that's the goal for my 85 K5. It only has 33s on a 4 inch lift now.
I don't know wat it is but I love the lifted 80s chevys on. 40s 44s lifted at least 16"
Im considering the same type of project, thanks for your time to make this video very good info!
this truck looks beautiful i want it
Finally a Chevy guy that will take a tape measure over a hacksaw! 😂
She looking super good
Where in the video is woman?? Is she cute??
SWEEEEET lookin truck ...👍🏻😎👍🏻
Beautiful 😮😮
Looks good. Very informative.
Looking good sir!
Thank you
Beautiful truck! Where did you get the lift? I currently have a 6” on my 87, but want a super lift 12”,or 20” that I have seen on TH-cam.
Summit racing
Great video bro good commentary
Very nice looking truck! Did you have to modify the driveshafts at all?
Loving it!!!!
Thank you,the tires really bring it together
My k30 cleared 37s on a 4” lift. Not sure why you need 15” to clear a little bit bigger tire.

That’s my old K30. My new one is camo, and sitting on 38.5x13.50s with a superlift 5.5 lift. If I had yours, it wouldn’t be going on any trails.

I'm building an 83 c30 dually 4x4 conversion. Wanting to do a 12" lift with 40's, any suggestions
You can check with off road design or diy4x4 to see if they have front spring hanger mounts to work on a 2wd frame
@@MR1967galaxieLTD okay thank you
Hello!
Where did you have your front driveshaft made?
Where did you buy your wheels? I can't find any 16x14 wheels anywhere
I got them from summit racing but from what I've heard the bart wheel line is discontinued for big tire trucks

Got a 6 inch on 35s but it's my daily driver so don't need or want boggers lol
Yeah for a daily boggers are not going to last long BUT they have a great sound going down the road🤣

Where did you get the front leaf spring hangers ?
DIY4X4 b52 front spring hanger
@@MR1967galaxieLTD thanks I have a 84 with same wheels and tires but 12 inches of lift and they rub with cut fenders

Where did you get the body lift??
Summit racing I believe the brand is performance accessories
Where is the sway bar??
Don't need it
I've had a truck that would lift both front wheels off the ground and not be steering.
This on the road yet?
Sold it

how high is lift?
15inch total
3 inch body lift
12 inch front springs
8 inch rear springs with shackel flip
How long do you think those tires will last on road
Maybe 10k-15k miles or a few years if its just a weekend toy/driver
MR1967galaxieLTD that’s good why didn’t you go with 40s
