another great episode. funky music choice. I know what you mean about the struggle of being alone so long. I did a 17,000km two month solo trip and found myself getting really lonely at times.
Thanks for showing your feelings on bad days. How many days, weeks you had planned for this trip without worrying your wife? A big hug and please keep editing and sending.
At 9.59mins, we all have days like that when we are away for long periods. I think you made the right call, a birthday will be there, but this trip was once in a lifetime. You will remember it forever. Not a lot of wives go traveling with their husband. I am one of very few. I just loved our time on the road. It took me 5 years to get homesick, after 3 years back in nz. I am ready to go again. Keep it up, Evan. You are doing great. I know you hsve finished now as i follow you on IG. Cheers Ro of Traveller's Nest Overland
Thank you for the message! I am slowly convincing her to jump on the back, we hired a motorbike in Thailand for a week and did the mae hong son loop, was a great success, so maybe some touring in the future together. But 5 years on the road is incredible, thats a heck of a trip! Where you off to next?
@@evanhenman we still have the truck it is stored in Brisbane. We go to Australia about 8 times a year. Next trip will be what you have just done but from Brisbane to drive back to Amsterdam in the Netherlands 🇳🇱. We need to work tp save for it, then afterwards we will do the Pam American highway. Cheers Ro
As a adv rider myself.. I can relate. There will be days where you ask yourself what the hell am i doing.. Keep it up mate. You are tough as they come. 👍🏼👌🏼
Thank you for the kind comment. I took 14 days, but I could have done with a few more days in Kyrgyzstan to explore, was some pretty long days of riding. 20 days would have been better if your planning it yourself!
Arhhh i missed that, that would have been a great idea to have gone there, looks amazing, and not far from Karakol. Unfortunately always going to miss things on a long journey, but a great reason to head back to Kyrgyzstan!
Thanks for the comments, I am currently putting together a video summarizing the trip and will do a break down of costs, for preparation and whilst travelling!
I’m sure you have enjoyed your Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan off-roading so we are
Keep it up be safe

Hi Evan why you didn’t go to Altyn Arashan there is one of beautiful places in the world 🌎

How did you animate the route you took?
I used an app called travelboast, free download on your phone. You have to pay a little if you want some custom icons, like the motorbike 😁
Thanks for info!
Would have been better if you could put up the costs of accommodation and food etc
