I highly recommend reading Crown of Midnight. Yes, it's still trash but it really brings what little was enjoyable in ToG to the forefront. It actually has a plot, acts like the love triangle never even happened, doesn't only talk about action but actually has tons of it, and makes Celaena a more interesting character. Also, there are TONS of twists and turns.
Continue the series, you’re gonna love it! For all that Celaena talks in the first book, she actually will blow your mind (and half the continent) in future books. Also, there is a reason why she’s trying to remain lowkey. As for the love triangle... just continue reading. The first two books are mostly about the three of them having fun in Adarlan, getting to know each other, and those are the books in which they make their “happy” memories about the “good old days” when they were all aloof about what’s going on in their world and what awaits them. There will be a lot of new characters and a lot of character development for the original cast in future books. You will not regret it!
