I was wondering your thoughts on audio books and suggest you should start reading the A song of ice and fire series (game of thrones) after harry potter
Polyjuice potion only changes your appearance, not your state of health. Crouch Jr. and his mother were both ill when they changed places. She was sick of some fatal disease, and he was sick because of prison conditions and being exposed to the dementors. After going home and being cared for by Winky he recovered his health.
Calliope Pony I just don’t understand why in Harry Potter And The Chamber of Secrets Harry didn’t need his glasses anymore when he transformd into Goyle? Doesn’t that mean that it actually does change the state of health? I don’t remember if that was actually in the book but it was in the movie.
Bad eyesight has nothing to do with health. There are some diseases that cause vision problems, but everyday bad vision is usually a result of genetics. The potion uses hair for the transformation, so it probably copies the DNA, which would affect a person's eyes along with things like their height and the color of their hair.
Calliope Pony I think most people have bad eyesight because of overuse of eyes (looking at books/computer for too long, inappropriate sitting position while reading, dim lighting while reading etc.) so it is more like a scar that you get from accidentally hurting yourself, or a finger you lose from some unfortunate accident. A person with bad eyesight is not unhealthy, just like how a person who has lost one finger in an accident is not unhealthy. It’s basically a permanent wound to one’s body/organ, that could’ve been prevented but is not. Of course some people are genetically determined to develop bad eyesight but most aren’t.
Calliope Pony It’s more so like you take over that person’s complete genetic makeup just not someone’s sickness. It is a plot hole, and I don’t remember how it was filled, but it’s still very weird.
my take on the polyjuice potion/barty crouch jr situation is that the person just takes on the physical appearance of the person, not the whole genetic make up of the person. because barty jr was in azkaban, he was already sick and dying himself because of the way the dementors work around you. so he wasn't just a healthy, lively person sitting around in azkaban. so when he left, the dementors sensed one healthy person (daddy crouch) and one sick person (barty jr) because mom was sick coming in, and barty jr, who was already sick, was leaving. I could be totally wrong, but that's how I always interpreted it!
I don't think you'll fall ill if the person you're impersonating is currently ill, but you do take on the entire genetic makeup of that person. I say that cuz you even sound like that person, at least in the books you do. This was one of the problems with the films; the trio always kept their voices whenever they had the polyjuice potion and that's just stupid. I mean why would they!? Their vocal cords are completely different!
But if he was already sick, why would his mom have to keep taking the potion? She could have just stayed herself, the dementors can't see and they would just sense a sick person which wouldn't be suspicious if Barty was already sick.
"she made Hagrid cry" Whenever I read the series and Hagrid has his breakdowns, I never think too much of it cause I'm always so invested and that's just normal. But when she says it so bluntly and out loud, I never actually considered the reality of it until now. Like, you just made the sweetest character in Harry Potter cry. Damn, that just hits so close to home
My personal theory on the polyjuice situation is that yes the mom was physically sick, but Barty jr. was mentally sick and deranged from being in Azkaban and around the dementors, which make people lose their mind. & I think physical health deteriorates around dementors too. P.S. Poor neighbors
Also, I dont think his physical health was good either. Sirius explains in the third book that when he escaped, he was thin enough (while transfigured) to slip through an iron fence.
Also, the conditions in Azkaban aren't really that great so the chances of getting ill in there are really high. I believe Winky also took care of Barty jr. when he got out, which means he had some sort of illness to attend to. I'm not 100% sure about this though, I'm like 90% I've read this in the books.
If a person has been in azkaban long enough, they become diseased, in a way. Dementors essentially cause a very intense depression, so Barty Crouch Jr would at that point be very deeply depressed, probably not taking care of himself, and perhaps sick in other ways because of it. Taking the polyjuice potion to look like his mother did not give him any illness, he already had it. So, taking the potion to look like her son would not keep the mother healthy. She would still have suffered from from the same illness and died because of it.
Sarah Shepherd yes I agree. I think what was said was that there was obly 1 healthy person and 2 sick ones. They were each sick in their own way but the dementors couldn’t sort that out
Amane - thats what i always thought but then at the beginning of the last book, when there are 7 harrys, doesnt hermoine say something like "your eyesight really is awful harry"- suggesting they take on that persons entire physical state as well? Or was that just in the movie i cant remember, i know for sure it was in the movie but maybe not the book
damn how are you so entertaining like I literally just watched you talk for 24 minutes and that's so rare for me. the way you talk about the book is so engaging. ive read this book like eight times and it was still so interesting to hear your thoughts on it. oh also poor neighbors

I'm actually so glad that someone's standing up for Ron while reading the books. I feel sorry for the way people talk about him while reading this book.
The plot twists in each book are so freaking creative and you will NEVER see them coming. Like, NEVER. I really loved that J.K. Rowling gave Ron a bit more depth. From this book on the characters just keep getting more and more complex and real. I'm onto the last installment! I'd like to keep writing and discussing, but I'm hosting a party, blasting some jams, and my poor neighbors just fucking called the police. Byeeee.
Well Azkaban is horrifically draining on the prisoners, most prisoners die just from being in Azkaban. So polyjuice or no she was still an old lady stuck in the worst possible place ever. also "Poor Neighbors"
I always interpreted the Barty Crouch scene as that Barty Crouch was also ill because of the constant torment from the dementors, as in he was weak and frail. Hope that makes sense!
but that wouldnt kill him.. i get what lily’s asking she’s wondering how barty’s mum died in azkaban if her fatal illness wasn’t on her anymore as she was Barty Crouch Jr? its rly hard to explain but baso the dementor would make him feel bad and ill weak and frail or whatevs but wouldn’t actually kill him, whereas the illness that the mother had was inevitable to end with death
Hayley Bingham no we just assumed that when you use polyjuice you *don’t* get the sicknesses of the original body they were both just sick except the mom was dying
She has the name of the best witch of her class, which was Lily Evans. Sooo that's that... OR she is Lily Luna, daughter of Harry and Ginny. So she is predicting shit, because she has lived that life. Or heard the stories and now she is reading these books to see if they are correct. Hmm. just kidding Rowling.
JK Rowling was such an amazing writer because of how she sets up clues to make you think you know the twist intentionally. Like it's so funny watching you pick apart so many clues and come up with very valid theories, but they were exactly what Rowling wanted you to think, throwing a completely different twist at the reader
Ha. This girl actually made me get the Jim Dale audiobooks and I've been basically rushing through one every two days ( currently listening to the very beginning of GOF ) while working on my final degree project, 8 years after my last HP reading. And I've been weeping.
As someone who has read this series at least 12 times since I was 7, I find it really entertaining and heartwarming to listen to a first time point of view, I love it
ITS SO FUN TO GET TO SEE YOU EXPERIENCING HARRY POTTER AS AN ADULT.. I wish I could re experience it now that I am older... also, yeah a lot of people feel like Voldemort really was not that terrible, but his lil cronies were lol
Miss Lily is back! Never knew how much I would miss you until you were gone. (That's why I always knew, because you're always gone!) POST MORE DAMIT! IM GOING THROUGH WITHDRAWALS!
I always thought the whole point of the Barty Crouch thing was that he was sick and dying while he was in Azkaban. That Azkaban makes people sick. So it wasn’t that they took on each other’s afflictions, it was more that he and his mother were both already sick. I hope that makes sense!
Welcome to when the Potterverse gets grown AF, and while you are dead on re: Rita Skeeter, she pales in comparison to a person who comes after her. Worst. Character. Ever. And scarily relevant right now....
I think with the polyjuice potion part Barty Crouch Jr was dying just as much as his mother from the stress of Azkaban. It says on the Harry Potter wiki: “One year later, his mother's health had deteriorated drastically from the stress of her son's imprisonment, as did Barty's own from the severe depression inflicted by the prison”. I think it’s also implied that Barty was very very sick from the dementors so he was likely dying just as much as his mother. I believe Sirius says at one point he looked very unwell the day he was brought in. Thus, when they swapped the dementors saw “one healthy, one dying person”. Of course then the extra stress of Azkaban inevitably killed the mother.
But also to note is that it seemed the “dying” was from mental causes rather than physical. JK Rowling made the polyjuice thing super confusing because obviously when Barty was Moody he had a missing eye and leg plus we know Harry doesn’t need his glasses when he took the polyjuice potion. However, these things are physical so perhaps the polyjuice potion does take on physical illness but not mental??
Barty jr. was a naturally sick person so both he and his mother were legitimately ill. Outside of prison he could recover and heal but Azkaban is FAMOUS for being a run down inhuman place where everything is miserable and unclean. Like the dementors are a BIG issue but the building itself is just a place to rot and die. So his mother probably didn’t last long at all considering she was coming in poor health.
I'm pretty sure Barty Jr. was super sick from being locked up with Dementors in Azkaban, the Pollyjuice potion doesn't transfer illness I don't think. So he was sick and so was she, but when he left and got away from the Dementors he would have improved and his mom would remain sick.
It's amazing to witness someone reading these books for the first time. When you've grown up with them, you sort of take it for granted and just assume that everyone's read them when they first came out. Well surprise, suckers! We need to get off our high centaur (get it, not horse, centaur)... Poor neighbours *
About the Polyjuice & Askaban, I'm pretty sure Sirius explained that Crouch Jr. was immensely suffering while imprisoned in Askaban and almost had no life left in him, which is why the plan with changing the appearances with his mother worked so well -- So the Dementors only sensed that one healthy person and one sick person entered and left again. The polyjuice did not, however, make Crouch Jr. sick or anything. He was just weak and on the brink of dying himself, if I remember the explanation corrrectly.
I don’t know how you’ve managed to not cry. I completely lost it back in the 3rd book when Sirius offers Harry a proper family once everything is sorted out. Then i lost it once again when Cedric dies and comes out of the wand and tells harry to take his body back to his parents😭 and it kills me every time Neville’s parents back story gets brought up.. i don’t know how you’ve done it.
Absolutely adore watching you analyze the series as you read through, it's amazing how you nail it on the first instant and then backtrack because of the subplots. Also, poor neighbors!
The spell at the end with the gold beam and the Ghost happen because there wands have the same core from the same animal so they can't kill each other with those wands.
Barty Crouch Jr. WAS unhealthy because he had been in Azkaban and that made him ill, from lack of outside and nourishment and being surrounded by dementors all the time ya know? so that's why there was 1 healthy person and 1 sick person leaving as well!
uestions that’s already answer in the book. Barty Crouch Jr already became very ill after just one year in Azkaban, so did his mother at home and it explained right at the end of the book
Poor neighbours. Can't wait for the Order of the Pheonix, especially your reaction to Umbridge, suspect it's going to have me tearing up with laughter.
These videos are literally the only thing I look forward to in my day-to-day life tbh I love seeing your theories and seeing you be confused about certain things, cuz I know that once all these get cleared up later in the books that you get so excited and happy that it all makes sense and it's honestly hella cute also yikes your poor neighbours lmfao
I honestly love these Harry Potter reviews!!! I also love how in the first review I’m pretty sure you acknowledged how the books are easy to read because they’re are meant for kids and I loved how you realized that! I think these videos are just great I love them!
Not really explained later. The Barty Crouch thing. Basically, Barty Crouch JR was also "sickly" because of the dementors. He was dying inside of Azkaban as well, and his mom took on the dementors grief and died in Azkaban.
I've been wondering about the Gringotts-thing myself. the first book made such a big deal about whether or not harry had his key but it doesn't make sense for mrs. Weasley to be able to get his gold out for him. It doesn't make sense either when Sirius orders the firebolt by mail and uses Harry's name but his own Gringotts vault number, did no one have any trouble with harry Potter ordering an expensive broomstick with money from Sirius Black's vault? Or do the goblins simply hate wizards so much that they don't care?
I honestly live for the moments when you throw your glasses away screaming WHAT THE FUCK when you realise what have actually happened If your poor neighbours hate living next to you where do I sign a petition to replace them lol
Honestly put such a smile on my face. I love the fact that you blog the experience so we can literally see you trying to figure everything out and the different thoughts and realisations crossing your face. Your theories really are fitting with the series as well! Outside the box enough to throw everyone off but with enough hints that it’s entirely plausible. Watching this makes me wish I could forget everything about Harry Potter to get that first time reading experience back now that I’ve grown up. Just bringée the entirety of this series so far and looking forward to the next one. Shits about to hit the Fan in this book series!
about the mrs weasley getting the money out of harry vault thing in the first book when harry first opens his vault with hagrid, the goblin asks him does he have his key and hagrid gets out a key from one of his many pockets in order to open it. so ive always assumed that harry must have given his key to mrs weasley so she can do the same??
Lily, the Polyjuce Potion effect is only temporary, and only allows people to take another person's physical form. Barty Crouch turned into her mom only for an hour or so, and Dementors are blind, they wouldn't have known who was in prison. Barty's mom was going to die anyway, the potion doesn't heal her. It is more like she's wearing a disguise, she only changes externally. Does it explain it?
her question was that, if the mum stays sick, how come barty jr becomes sick. i reckon she already knows now tho, cos everyone has told her the answer lol
One healthy person=Barry crouch sr Both Barry crouch jr and his mum were sick from what I’m not sure Barry crouch=healthy person and mum=sick person entering Barry crouch=healthy person and crouch jr=sick person leaving Poly juice only changes appearance His poor neighbors never knew😂😂
I read this somewhere and I have never seen anyone say what was the deal with it or something, that the reason the Goblet of Fire was so much bigger than the other books was because while J.K. was writing she noticed a plot hole and she had to spend a good portion of the book fixing it. I was so curious to what it was but I never saw it anywhere. Idk if this is like urban legend lol but I was wondering if anyone has figured it out??
I'm reading these for the first time too and I love that you're having all the same reactions to the plot twists that I did. Starting the last book today!!!
barty crouch junior was also sick when he took the polyjuice potion. he was physically sick as well from being in the azkaban so long. so one sick person entered and one sick person left the azkaban. and then the mom died of sickness. idk if the mom took on the son's sickness as well though. poor neighbours...
Yay! I love you reading this ahaha, I’m currently reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the last chapter: and I don’t want to finish it so yeah, I might get therapy haha! The Goblet of Fire, is an amazing book! You really get to know other characters than Harry (obviously) Hermione, Ron, Draco. All those other “back ground” characters, you get to know them more, love you!
3 years late but, poor neighbors! This Harry potter series is exactly what ive been dying to see for so long. I feel like no one does this type of reaction. Great idea lilly, and ive thoroughly enjoyed the vlog style reaction. It is truly a pleasure to watch you discover this great series!
I miss so much reading the books and especially I crave the time I read them the first time! It is sooo nice to see your reactions, it's like living it again!!!
Yayyyy a new video!!! And I think that Barty was just sick from prison. Like both him and his mother were sick in the first place. So when one sick person left azkaban, it was just Barty's sickness, not his mother's. At least that's my theory. Great video!!! Also, poor neighbours
Polyjuice potion gives the outward appearance/sense of the person. The potion has to be effective enough to fool magical probing and detection, so Barty's mom would've looked, sounded, and smelled like him. The outward symptoms would've been suppressed, but the inner progression of the illness would have continued unabated. Similarly, Barty would have outwardly presented all of the symptoms of his mothers' illness, but would not have actually become sick himself. Your poor neighbors.
i just finished reading this last week and I forgot how Dark it was. the questions you had I didn't even think about. Can't wait to see how you feel about Order of the Phoenix I plan to reread that at the end of the month. Your poor neighbors
I'm pretty sure that prolonged exposure to being around dementors all the time, plus being in prison, meant that Barty Crouch Jr. was really sick already, so the polyjuice potion didn't actually transfer the sickness, he and his mum were both sick and almost dying, just from different things. Then once Barty Crouch Jr. left Azkaban and wasn't around dementors or in bad conditions any more, he was able to fully recover. That was what I always thought when I read the books anyways. (Because remember in Prisoner of Azkaban, Sirius was extremely sick and weak from being in Azkaban, and was so thin and malnourished that he managed to slip through the cell bars in dog form.) PS. Poor neighbours.
Crouch jr “plot hole is actually really simple, when you’re in Azkaban there are only dementors and the dementors can only see emotions, so basically for his escape his mother was a “grieving soul” because she was depressed about her son, her son was also depressed because he didn’t have any liberty. I don’t remember who makes the pollyjiuce potion but this person feeds it to his mom, and so the dementors saw a grieving soul getting in and getting out of Azkaban. Now the mom “issue” was that the person that brewed the potion had to feed it to the mom so that nobody was suspicious about the escape of Barty Crouch jr.
I love these because there’s so many little things I forgot about since my last time through this series!! And poor neighbors, they didn’t deserve this hell
Just discovered your channel, it's really cool to see someone experiencing these books for the first time. I really like your style and your way of presenting the videos. Also poor neighbors.
Poor neighbors! I love these videos! It’s been so long since I read Harry Potter for the first time that I’ve forgotten what it’s like reading it for the first time. Your theories are so fun to hear and your reactions are so fun to watch! Thank you for these videos!
I know this comment is from two years ago lol, but your comment was worded kind of rudely. She frequently takes a long time to post for one thing, but also TH-camrs obviously have a life and other responsibilities!
I am loving watching as you get more and more invested as you go through the books! This series is great - so wish I could read them for the first time again as an adult
poor neighbours! also wow i usually can't finish a whole 20 minutes if any sort of review but i just binged watched all of your hp videos. clearly i'm in love
Hey guysss, if there are still any audio issues, please let me know!!
I'm still not sure what's causing them :/
Sounds normal to me, however I am no authority on audio.
LilyCReads it's ok Lily
video sounds okay!! :)
I was wondering your thoughts on audio books and suggest you should start reading the A song of ice and fire series (game of thrones) after harry potter
Omg I love this book couldn’t stop laughing while you reacted to stuff poor neighbors

I always thought the whole point of the Barty Crouch thing was that he was sick and dying while he was in Azkaban. That Azkaban makes people sick. So it wasn’t that they took on each other’s afflictions, it was more that he and his mother were both already sick. I hope that makes sense!
Where are youuuuu
and i'm so sorry
@@miche8868 Lol which song is that and why did I also think of it
Welcome to when the Potterverse gets grown AF, and while you are dead on re: Rita Skeeter, she pales in comparison to a person who comes after her. Worst. Character.
Imagine living near the Durley's when all those owls came, poor neighbors
fuck that was slick
i dropped everything to watch this
Light Carat Monbebe honestly same😂😂😂 i was studying and then i saw the notification and went "FUCK THAT!!!" and just watched the video
Same, but her poor neighbors
Barty jr. was a naturally sick person so both he and his mother were legitimately ill.
Poor neighbors. Also I love watching your videos its like rereading HP but without the commitment
I'm pretty sure Barty Jr. was super sick from being locked up with Dementors in Azkaban, the Pollyjuice potion doesn't transfer illness I don't think. So he was sick and so was she, but when he left and got away from the Dementors he would have improved and his mom would remain sick.
Poor neighbors :P
“So Snape’s a death eater, right” just the way you said it made me burst out laughing. I love watching you read them so much (and poor neighbors lol)
hahaha thankyou!
Snape is basically Pearl from Steven Universe, only she's not an asshole about the whole thing
It's amazing to witness someone reading these books for the first time. When you've grown up with them, you sort of take it for granted and just assume that everyone's read them when they first came out. Well surprise, suckers! We need to get off our high centaur (get it, not horse, centaur)...
Poor neighbours *
OKAY so since Moody's eye can see through INVISIBILITY CLOAKS and WALLS can he see through CLOTHES or SKIN??? Where does it end??
It can see through clothes. He saw Harry's socks through his robes at the Yule Ball.
@@INTPTT Creeeeeper
Guys... I think she got stuck reading order of the Phoenix
sergio vela I know right. It’s been 2 months since she uploaded the next video is gonna be super long haha
Clearly we need to send a crack team of teenagers to go and rescue her.
Xylos144 Lol I know right
it's up! go watch
About the Polyjuice & Askaban, I'm pretty sure Sirius explained that Crouch Jr. was immensely suffering while imprisoned
in Askaban and almost had no life left in him, which is why the plan with changing the appearances with his mother worked so well -- So the Dementors only sensed that one healthy person and one sick person entered and left again. The polyjuice did not, however, make Crouch Jr. sick or anything. He was just weak and on the brink of dying himself, if I remember the explanation corrrectly.
Buckle up everyone, this is gonna be a rollercoaster. Poor neighbours
Reading for the first time along with you and just finished book 5 - can't wait for the next video!
I can't wait for you to read the half blood prince! It's my favourite part . . . .
Goblet Of Fire down! order of the phoenix coming up!
*singing* Gonna take her about three years,, ooh three years ooh
Absolutely adore watching you analyze the series as you read through, it's amazing how you nail it on the first instant and then backtrack because of the subplots. Also, poor neighbors!
The subplots had me bamboozled
LILY WHERE ARE YOU WE MISS YOU
The spell at the end with the gold beam and the Ghost happen because there wands have the same core from the same animal so they can't kill each other with those wands.
goblet of fire is my favorite book from the series
Light Carat Monbebe YES!! So far it's mine too and I see so many people rank it as one of their least favorites 😢
Samee favorite book but least favorite movie
Barty Crouch Jr. WAS unhealthy because he had been in Azkaban and that made him ill, from lack of outside and nourishment and being surrounded by dementors all the time ya know? so that's why there was 1 healthy person and 1 sick person leaving as well!
post your order of the phoenix review before I die of old age pls
uestions that’s already answer in the book.
These videos are literally the only thing I look forward to in my day-to-day life tbh
I love seeing your theories and seeing you be confused about certain things, cuz I know that once all these get cleared up later in the books that you get so excited and happy that it all makes sense and it's honestly hella cute
also yikes your poor neighbours lmfao
I honestly love these Harry Potter reviews!!! I also love how in the first review I’m pretty sure you acknowledged how the books are easy to read because they’re are meant for kids and I loved how you realized that! I think these videos are just great I love them!
I can't wait until you post your order of the Phoenix review 😂😂😂😂
Poor neighbors
I love watching you trying to figure out the series lol ugh I wish I could re experience it at this age
I honestly live for the moments when you throw your glasses away screaming WHAT THE FUCK when you realise what have actually happened
If your poor neighbours hate living next to you where do I sign a petition to replace them lol
finally!!! been waiting for this for soooo long
Honestly put such a smile on my face. Shits about to hit the Fan in this book series!
about the mrs weasley getting the money out of harry vault thing
in the first book when harry first opens his vault with hagrid, the goblin asks him does he have his key and hagrid gets out a key from one of his many pockets in order to open it. so ive always assumed that harry must have given his key to mrs weasley so she can do the same??
Lily, the Polyjuce Potion effect is only temporary, and only allows people to take another person's physical form. Barty Crouch turned into her mom only for an hour or so, and Dementors are blind, they wouldn't have known who was in prison. Barty's mom was going to die anyway, the potion doesn't heal her. It is more like she's wearing a disguise, she only changes externally. Does it explain it?
her question was that, if the mum stays sick, how come barty jr becomes sick. i reckon she already knows now tho, cos everyone has told her the answer lol
One healthy person=Barry crouch sr
Both Barry crouch jr and his mum were sick from what I’m not sure
Barry crouch=healthy person and mum=sick person entering
Barry crouch=healthy person and crouch jr=sick person leaving
Poly juice only changes appearance
His poor neighbors never knew😂😂
lucy zhang why doesn't this have more likes?!
It's the best explanation
As a Ron fan, your reviews just HEAL MY SOUL.
Starting the last book today!!!
omg yesss Ive been waiting for this video! I clicked the notification so fast
OMG, its May already! Where are you? I´m dying to see your reactions on Order of Phoenix!!!!!!
Lily when are you done with the 5. Book. I can't wait XD
barty crouch junior was also sick when he took the polyjuice potion. he was physically sick as well from being in the azkaban so long. so one sick person entered and one sick person left the azkaban. and then the mom died of sickness. idk if the mom took on the son's sickness as well though. poor neighbours...
Someone just shared this video on Tumblr and I'm so glad they did bc this is now one of my favourite channels.
She's been reading Harry Potter and Order of the Phoenix for a month. I hope she is.
Nikki Nikki I’m going to reread all HP starting next month and Im super excited for it ^^
paradiseaflame Ah cool!⚡️
These videos are long, but I wish they were longer
3 years late but, poor neighbors! This Harry potter series is exactly what ive been dying to see for so long. I feel like no one does this type of reaction. Great idea lilly, and ive thoroughly enjoyed the vlog style reaction. It is truly a pleasure to watch you discover this great series!
I miss so much reading the books and especially I crave the time I read them the first time! It is sooo nice to see your reactions, it's like living it again!!!
"Basically, Cornelius Fudge has Cornelius fucked everyone.." LILY I'M IN THE OFFICE! You almost made me spit out my water!!!
Yayyyy a new video!!! And I think that Barty was just sick from prison. Like both him and his mother were sick in the first place. So when one sick person left azkaban, it was just Barty's sickness, not his mother's. At least that's my theory. Great video!!! Also, poor neighbours
That makes sense ^
Polyjuice potion gives the outward appearance/sense of the person. The potion has to be effective enough to fool magical probing and detection, so Barty's mom would've looked, sounded, and smelled like him. The outward symptoms would've been suppressed, but the inner progression of the illness would have continued unabated. Similarly, Barty would have outwardly presented all of the symptoms of his mothers' illness, but would not have actually become sick himself.
Your poor neighbors.
Hmm, thats a good thought ^
i just finished reading this last week and I forgot how Dark it was. the questions you had I didn't even think about. Can't wait to see how you feel about Order of the Phoenix I plan to reread that at the end of the month. Your poor neighbors
I’m soo excited for you to read order of the pheonix after this. Mostly because I can’t wait to hear about what you have to say about umbridge
These are my favorite things ever
Poor neighbours.
this is the highlight of my day no my week nah the month... tbh the highlight of my entire life
ily x
Ugh I love you so much lol can’t wait for you to finish order of the Phoenix! POOR NEIGHBORS! 😂
Thankyou! Hopefully it wont take as long for me to upload it haha
so i was gonna go to bed but i guess it's only 1:30am right
i think barty crouch jr already was getting the life sucked out of him in azkaban but the mum was terminally ill so they were both "sick"
What the heck. Where is the fifth book review. Literally three times a day I check on TH-cam and refresh Lily's channel. It's been so long.
Priyanka Sherpa well, the fifth book is really big, specially compared to the previous ones.
I know this comment is from two years ago lol, but your comment was worded kind of rudely. She frequently takes a long time to post for one thing, but also TH-camrs obviously have a life and other responsibilities!
I could tell you why Voldemort doesn't try so hard but that would be a huge spoiler it all makes sense in the last book
Can you please do a HP and the order of the Phoenix review?
I am loving watching as you get more and more invested as you go through the books! This series is great - so wish I could read them for the first time again as an adult
poor neighbours! also wow i usually can't finish a whole 20 minutes if any sort of review but i just binged watched all of your hp videos. clearly i'm in love
