  • What up everyone! I just purchased the LaCie Rugged USB-C all-terrain mobile storage device! It is the 2TB version and I wanted to share how the set up went and my brief thoughts!
    Overall, from countless reviews and my own experience it appears to be a great device! I look forward to using it in my workflow and enabling me to finally create videos from footage on my Sony a6000 with ease!
    It is also always a good idea to have two versions of your data (SD and External Hard-drive, iPhone camera and External Hard-drive, etc) so you do not have to worry about losing those precious memories!

    Great tutorial on formatting the LaCie. Didn't know you have to hit eject when removing it. I've always just detached the cable but I'll try right click on it when I remove it. And btw, your buddy there creates InstaSmile. The A6000 is an excellent cam too. I have some aamzing images I shot w/it, and use the compact kit lens that it comes with. ..the 15-55mm.

      I really appreciate the kind words! And yes, my buddy is awesome :) I love the a6000. I have been using it for years now...I will upgrade at some point to a new Sony model. It is great for hiking because it is pretty lightweight, but still captures amazing images and footage! The 15-55 mm is great. The lens I have been using for awhile now is the 18mm-135mm!

    It's not "Lacy", it's La Cie - and it's a pun. The parent company is Seagate, and La Cie is French for "The Company". The enclosed chip is called a "FireCuda", which presumably is some sort of mythical sea monster. Lol. 🌊

    hey bro does it have a built in thunderbolt cable or just the USB-C cable that you got? thanks for the great review 👍🏻

      Appreciate the compliment!
      So for the one I purchased it just came with the orange USB-C cable. There are no other built in cable inserts for this LaCie. I hope this helps but let me know if you have any additional questions

    How do I back up an iPhone SE?

    • @anthonybonacio
      @anthonybonacio  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have never done this, but you can download the Lacie Media App and select the storage device from the list under WiFi networks. Otherwise, you can use a MacBook that would have your data on it (If you are using the cloud storage) and you can upload your iCloud files directly on to your Lacie External hard drive.

    is it better than Seagate?

    • @anthonybonacio
      @anthonybonacio  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Lacie is owned by SeaGate, so I would have to assume that they are both great options. I personally have not used a SeaGate specific hard drive though.

    Thanks for the demonstration. Is it an SSD external drive? How is it working after 10 months? How easy is it to back up everything on a computer? Obviously drag and drop doesn't work. It looks easy to load. How easy is it to reload/transfer the file back to your laptop

    • @anthonybonacio
      @anthonybonacio  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No need to thank me! Yes, SSD external drive. It works great after 10 months (but this could vary if it is almost full and mine is not. I still have plenty of storage). It is very easy to back things up. I can drag and drop into it! You can drag and drop the file from the external hard drive back on your laptop as well! If you have any other questions please let me know. Sorry for the delay in response!

    Anthony Bonacio Cool so how quick would a 4k movie take to copy over from a PC ?

    • @anthonybonacio
      @anthonybonacio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the question! Well, it depends on the size of the movie. This 2 TB hard drive in particular has a transfer speed of 130 megabytes per second. Ive found it to only take a couple minutes or even less to copy over depending on file size. Hope this helps! Lemme know if you have any more questions!
