'MET ROCK FESTIVAL' is an abbreviation for 'Tokyo Metropolitan Rock Festival'. It is held every May in Tokyo and now with the new addition of Osaka as a place in held. BABYMETAL performed in 2015 and this video clip is from the DVD with the first Japanese limited edition of their second album, 'Metal Resistance', released in April 2016 (I have it).
In the intro by Kami Band, The first guitar solo by Mikio is always crazy-like and nice to hear. At 2:33, the second Oomura's guitar solo with a bit of phrasing, is probably from a famous passage in an old Japanese song, 'Hana (花, Flower)' by Rentaro Taki. And I guess it is a little stylish and playful choice by him since May is a very nice spring season. Hideki on drums is also very nice and playful. Btw, I am Hideki too. Oh, it is no matter, ha. Thank you from Japan!

I love the way Ohmura-san references other tunes in some of his solos. In the video of the UK Wembley show he plays a snatch of the classic English song 'Jerusalem'. He always does it to fit the occasion. Ko-Gami would be proud of him.
Aoyama Hideki is my favourite drummer. The guy rules the double kick drums. He's relentless.

@@Dead-Eye Oh, I see. I just checked it because I have the 2016 Wembley BD too. But excuse me, I wasn't sure, however I guess it's the long pitchy notes part in the second half of the solo..? And yes, I have heard Ohmura was originally a student of Mikio's at the music school...
And about Hideki, I was actually a fan of his father, Jun Aoyama (青山純). I am not a metalhead, I am just a Japanese jazz fusion fan. I have heard Jun's playing drums on some album of 'PRISM', a Japanese fusion band he was a member of for a short time, and I became a fan of its. He later moved to the Japanese pop-rock scene and was a great man who played in the backing bands of Tatsuro Yamashita, Misha, etc. He unfortunately passed away in 2013. I remember when I got to know BM, then Kami Band, and at last when I found out that Hideki was Jun's son, I was so moved that I lost all strength in my body.😀
P.S. Let me correct one thing for my previous comment, BM had already appeared at MetRock in 2013 too.

Great reaction. If you ever get the chance to watch their whole set from Metrock 2015 grab that chance with both hands - they did a great 40 minute set and the crowd was what bands can only dream a festival crowd will be like.
'Catch Me If You Can' is the best metal song about playing a game that's a sort of cross between tag, blind man's bluff and hide & seek.
It is the perfect mix of the two extremes with the brutal instrumentals and the sweet vocals - and the game they are playing, they're playing with an Oni (a sort of Japanese ogre 👹 popular in regional festivals and used specifically to frighten children ... and the idea of that probably amuses me a lot more than it really should 🤭), very little gets any more metal than that. 🤘
The growling vocals (they are on a backing track) are the Oni asking things like "Are you ready?" and the best response has to be "Maada da yo" (No, not yet) while doing a running away from an Oni dance.🏃‍♀🏃‍♀🏃‍♀👹

I love the dust tornados the circle pits kick up. You can hardly see the stage at some points.

I always think legend 97 or budokan 2014 for this track - but this is REALLY good - esp. for a daytime outdoor appearance. Great reaction!

excellent content Nathan-Metal, I would love to hear this song live, but I think the ladies feel like they have outgrown this song, but the music is so awesome, maybe they could change it like they did for "BMD" with the "Shin" version, because that riff can not die with their childhoods.

Nice reaction and excellent video choice!
I'm a sucker for the Kami Band solos, specially when they add some improvisation like here.
"CMIYC" was my very first BABYMETAL song and it's definitely on their heavier side instrumentally but also on their more kawaii side on the vocals and choreo. For example the movement at 4:02 mark on your video is called "Moa slide" and it's preceded by Moa's "fancy feet" (hard to spot on a frontal take) and it's my favorite piece of their choreo. I can't help it. 😁

once you go a bit further down the Fox (Kitsune) hole and listen to a few more songs you should check out CrypticMisery's Everything you need to know about Babymetal (which I highly recommend as it would take too long to explain it all) , it will explain a ton of info you will need to know going forward so you don't get confused going forward, things like who the members are, who left, who is still there, the development and birth of the group, and why they are actually called Babymetal FYI it's because of the age of the girls

    ⚡ 💀 💕 / 🏃‍♀👹
This cute song is about playing a game that is like hide-and-go-seek, tag or blind-man's-bluff.
Pursued by an "Oni"" which is a kind of Japanese Ogre, or demon.
If not a real monster, than someone pretending to be one in order to terrify children.
Good times! Kawaii Metal. : )
If much of their charm is in the blending of the cute and the brutal, this song is a great example.
They're both turned up to the max.
They performed this song quite a bit in 2017, but not since.
The last time I saw this one was in Chula Vista, California when they were on tour opening for Korn.
