this is a great video for DIY, and also shows just how Complicated car Manufactures have become when this just as easily could have been the Old Fashion type headlamp considering what is necessary to replace it.
I have just replaced a front light bulb on my 2007 Grand Marquis. You do not need to take the whole light assembly out to do this. There are cutouts on the frame which allow the bulb to be removed and the new one fitted, Just pull back the rubber boot remove the bulb and replace with new one able. A bit tight but enough cable on fitting to pullout and replace without touching bulb. Takes just a few minutes. Having small hands helps :)
Yeah, worked for me too. I have a 2009. Have you upgraded the headlight bulbs at all? if so let me know what you got because I'm looking to switch mine..
Yup yer right, I just did it. This guy makes nice videos but I'm too lazy to take the whole thing apart when you can just schooch around the back and do it in five minutes. I went with blue white halogens from Amazon.
@@crazysob9896 You are absolutely right. 2005's and below are totally different. Nobody would EVER be able to replace a headlight bulb without removing the headlight assembly.
This was very helpful. I was able to wiggle out the headlight without removing the side lamp. All you need is a flat head screwdriver and confidence that you live if you happen to crack something. Nothing cracked for me luckily, I was able to wiggle it out and back in without any blood and a total of 15 minutes. Thank you so much for the video hopefully this comment will help some folks save some time
@@NickTheDenverDirtJumper does this go for the 2004 mgm cause i want to change my lightbulbs to the philips crystal ultra 9007 i just want a better bulb for my car and it doesn't cost a lot ya see
A knuckle Buster! I’m always am amazed at how stupid engineers tea are. They can design something but never think about how to remove & install small parts in tight areas! Hope you didn’t cut a finger off!

Thank you. I couldn't figure out how to get the bulb out. Didn't think to just take out the whole assembly.

I did find out that you can do it without taking the light fixture out that you have to have the hands of a child

Great video, thank you! By the way, what is the brightest headlight bulb I can put in there without causing any issues? I got an '09.
Don't you mean push the bumper down, not the hood?
Super helpful great work!
thank you SO much man!!
Thank u you saved me😂
I dont get how ford managed to make the easiest headlights imaginable on the vics and then make you have to do 5 extra steps on the grandmas.
I've heard if you have the hands of a child you can do it
That third headlight screw at the bottom is such a pain. Mine is rusted and worn. I still can’t get it out.
