but when changing the brake caliper and releasing the hose, is it not necessary to bleed afterwards? And without a scanner, you can purge the ABS?

Where did you get the callipers from, some are quoting £160 ish whilst on eBay they’re £40 to £50

Why are you changing them? Do they wear out somehow?

The piston that pushes the pads can seized ,making the brakes stay on very common

try not to get brake fluid over the discs
