We always use the IPS address like you show at 2:17 but for some odd reason its not working at all so we can login by any chance did they change it since we wanted to add a NEW modem?
Whenever you change networks or Internet provider or move to a new house, you most likely will need to perform a repeater reset by using the RESET button (press and hold for a real 12-14 seconds) while it's plugged into a wall outlet and power is on, then release the RESET button and go through the setup steps again as shown in my video. Also try moving the Extender closer to where your router is located while setting it up, then you can move it if you need to. Also when setting it up double check that you are using the correct wifi password to connect to your router with the Extender during setting it up and again that it's close to the primary router during the setup and configuration steps.
We reset the button, got router and modem sitting beside us but nothing never happened at all except for WIFI cuts off when router plugged in and the IP address does not open up at all like you showed in video when that's what we are used to using. Unsure why nothing happened since all 3 devices are beside each other, we are on our 2nd modem.@@nickscomputerfix

I put in admin in both places and it does not accept them. I have reset the router at least 3 times. Any suggestions? However, there is no connectivity for my desktop computer, the one that is directly connected to the router. Also, my Mac will pick up the wireless and I login, but there is no internet connectivity. I have an interesting issue. I type in 192.168.1.1 into the URL, and it gives me the prompt to put in the username and password, but typing Admin Admin does nothing. The site clears my entries and asks me again. Do you know what my issue is?

The setup CD is not required when doing it manually. I believe for your E1000 you need to leave the User ID space empty (blank) and only type in admin as the password. If that does not work, Google using keywords: linksys e1000 default password

your set up is ok now, just go to the 192.168.1.1 that he is talking about, type admin for password and if you are now in a set up page, click mac address clone, its a sub tab and there you enable the radio button and click Clone my PCs Mac and save settings and now you are good to go

When i type in 192.168.1.1 for my Linksys in browser it says connection timed out. Over an over even in Internet Explorer. Why will it not connect? I have reset the router and my Epsom printer connects to it but the printer will not connect to my computer either. So what is wrong? It used to work ok and all of a sudden it will not work.
When you say reset, did you hold the reset button in for 10 seconds while it was powered on? If you did, then the default ip address will be back to 192.168.1.1. You will also have to go into settings and re-configured the router just like it was a new one out of the box.

I believe you can see that in advance router settings....depending on which firmware version you are running under.

Go to a Command Prompt > type: ipconfig > see what your Default Gateway IP address is and try that one.

Reset your Internet modem. Have your ISP do a test to see if they can see your router by way of your Internet modem.

Your default password might have been changed to something else, either by you or someone else.
