I agree that the last minute changes are frustrating. On retail there is more indication that they are listening to community feedback. I loved the footage in this video.

Yeah, on one hand lots of changes means lots of content, but on the other it makes it really hard from a gold making point of view and when you see changes happening with really little/no notice, that you know negatively impact the gold making community its hard to keep sounding positive! & I don't want to be someone who just moans all the time really!
I’m hopeful that MoP classic has a bit more effort put into it. They’ve revisited the content in MoP remix, and it’s clear that they want Cata done with as soon as possible with the timeline they planned out
I'm gonna go back to retail as well and play War Within. I was playing Classic since Day 1 as main game but when I saw the state of Cataclysm (bunch of bugs, although not game breaking) it felt like a cheap private server. Classic devs got lazy (probably because they can't focus on Cataclysm and on SoD at the same time) and Cata was rushed, for example: bunch of bugs at the start, the Transmog system is a poorly made copy of the retail version, they removed the Void Storage because they ran out of time, some achievements still don't work correctly (mostly account-wide ones). Also in SoD it took them 2 phases to "fix" Shadowstep and remove it from global cooldown. (It's not completely fixed yet because it still acts like a warrior charge and not the real Shadowstep.) So I'm kinda done with Classic until they gonna hire more devs because they clearly can't handle SoD + Cataclysm at the same time. I mean they can make those 2 games playable but their quality is garbage.
SoD has been brutal for anyone who puts in grindy- work. From mount availability in phase one moving from rev to honored, mount price drop in phase two (only after I bought 4 full price mounts), adding daily quests for wsg rep in ashenvale (after I farmed wsg rep the ol fashioned way) I don’t remember when, but I remember a distinct moment somewhere around the time of erinikus having millions of health that I told myself to “wait for the nerf” for EVERYTHING in SoD. I could have been one of the people who burned themselves out farming a dungeon set the day before blizzard lets you buy it with the currency :))))))
Exactly! You know I'd forgotten the mount things. Its again, more examples of perfectly good changes but they happened too late and at too short notice. After a while you just start to expect it unfortunately, which makes it hard to really do anything.
i was actualy positively suprised how fast they have been pushing fixes and QOL changes i know it can hurt gold farmers but for like 99% community its a win win. I like to make gold just by playing the game so i made my 500k gold in week 1 just running dungeons on tanks hardreserving Chaos orbs and Sellinng BS / LW boes for 15k+ gold each. Now i just run GDKPs to make even more as i wanna get that goldcap in cataclysm just by playing the game.
I think many of us are in the same boat. I loved the 2019 Classic and i was hoping for a fresh. I dont want to start over on a Era server now since the economy and stuff like that is too broken. I dont want to start raiding with everyone having bis gear just to get boosted. I guess i just need to wait until they announce a fresh server to be launched. Mist of pandaria Classic might also be something i want to look into. It was a great expansion, cata is not for me but maybe mist can be fun. Right now i dont want to play SoD anymore it is too much stuff and i hate that everyone is packed into a few zones. Just try for yourself to quest on a pvp server, you can literally not even get one mob before you get jumped. Even if i was 60 the pvp is so bad that for the first time in my 20 year wow career, i want to play on a Pve server. I just think the devs are really lazy and they focus on stuff THEY want to do not what WE want. feels more like an arena for them to play around in rather then a service for players, if it makes sense? To me it feels like they are disconnected and they make changes based on what they feel like rather then making changed for players. I seriusly dubt they even play the game or understand the game fundamentally. I wonder how they even got the job to begin with. Oh well, i hope they make a 2019 Fresh and make it last for 5 or so years and then release a new fresh. I feel like that is the best they can do.
Yeah, I think the same, a 5 year cycle gives plenty of time for players to get hyped about each expansion again, everyone knows where the drop off point would be too. I think MOP Classic would be a lot of fun, MOP was a pretty good expansion over all. I went PVE on SOD, it was just too much on a PVP server, could hardly move without getting killed, I know they tried to make things 50/50 but it felt like layering countered that.
Classic is no longer classic, it's now 'remastered'. The dmf change to every 2 weeks would be fine if the profession quests were also available every 2 weeks, but they're not and they're not saying whether that's deliberate or just an oversight. Struggling to make enough gold to buy a token, which is how I pay for my game time. I think my wow journey is coming to an end, which is pretty much what I expected when cata was confirmed.
Yeah, its pretty shocking that they even still do make this many oversights on an old game, but to then not even communicate it is rough. The next patch is unlikely to help the economy much, but I'd expect an easy-ish time making gold around when Firelands comes out, I'd hope anyways
The frustration I have is the lack of respect for the classic progression players that have been playing since 2019. Cata classic was released in such an infuriating state due to SoD. I’d have no issues with SoD if a different team handled it or if they were a bigger team that can handle both in a reasonable way but it’s clear they cannot. I wanna be hopeful for MoP classic, but I’m losing faith.
I guess we will see what they do, I was really shocked by the state of pre patch & the lack of communication around it. It would be nice to see a MOP Classic that was genuinely cared for when it came out, rather than neglected & rushed like Cata felt.

Fingers Crossed, I would be really hyped to get an update on that! Feels like they won't say anything now until Christmas

I miss your WoW Classic hardcore content!
I've heard rumours of a fresh, I'm 100% going back if there is one! Though, I bet it will be SSF which is going to be a tricky one

so you are saying sadam's invasion of Kuwait is the reason for this
well, I didn't want to point fingers but basically yes.
