Last year, I had an exam about Japanese art. Your videos helped me passing it. I hope your channel also helped many others. However, I never thanked you, so I'm doing it now. Thank you so much for sharing your passion about art!

All of the pieces you showed were stunning! My favourites were the blue and gold style ones.

Best series on japanese art history i've ever seen! I've watched every single one of them. Are you still making the other episodes or is this series over?

Honestly, while I get most of this particular era in terms of history, your previous vids also cleared up quite a bit about the ancient history, as well, and I have to say, Thanks.

Thanks for this series. My wife and I just came back trip to Kansaii, and aside from the tourist maps and rail guides, this video series of yours proved the best crash course I could take for that trip. :)
(Well, this and the an NHK series, but I used your outline to guide my search for NHK episodes.)
Although of course, you haven't gotten to videos for the Edo period and later yet so I can't help but wonder what insights I might have missed. :)
Hm. Great stuff. I hope you keep 'em coming. (I'm particularly curious about Modern and Contemporary Japanese Art.)

I am building a Japanese man cave based on Matsumoto Castle. You have done a fantastic job researching your and presenting the information.. I have watched this 5x!!! The only critique I would have and it nothing you have control over is the you voice is not a TH-cam voice which would be an issue if your material was uninteresting. Your material and presentation however are so fantastic the voice factor is irrelevant. Fantastic effort! I am looking forward to see the rest of the series!
