I've seen things that also seem ridiculous. Glad others notice. Let's remember it's the writers etc. that do it and Monk's just following the script. Wish I'd known abt this show when it ran originally (or could afford the tier of cable it was on) cause they show the same ones over and over. And keep changing tines and channels it's on. Still...thankful.
Loved the fact that Monk always knew the truth and that the killers always gave themselves away cause they thought that they were in the clear. I mean the window cleaner was rich now and A lawyer could explain everything away. Being on the same team was not solid.
Intelligent people can do incredibly stupid things. Often it's a question of intelligence vs wisdom. There's a saying, "An intelligent person can get out of situations that a wise person never gets into in the first place."
the sun would not be directly in your eyes if you were looking west at 2:30. it's technically more west than east but at that time it'd still be mostly overhead, and if monk was on the seventh floor, he'd be looking down so it'd be even less of an issue.
The killer in this episode is surprisingly charming. He’s not suave and charismatic, he’s just friendly and amusing to be around. Not only does this make him pretty iconic, especially with the friendly “I’m murdering you, my friend!” line, but I’m willing to bet that it’s the entire reason why Monk was underestimating him enough to meet up with him alone. Sure, he was a killer, but Monk didn’t pick up on how secretly ruthless he could be.
This is another Wings reunion with Tony Shalhoub. Mark Harelik, playing Mikhail Alvanov, played Helen Chapel's (Crystal Bernard) rich boyfriend Davis Lynch.
What the hell was the difference between half and the full massive reward money. An easy getaway traded in for one of the hardest things to get away with.
Those are the dumbest and most unprofessional cops in the world. Monk, his partner, his whole department and the young cop. Don't approach a suspect alone or make deals without a gun, bulletproof vest, or other plan. There are many stupid mistakes.
i don't think that's a misuse. i think his point is just that he has normal vision but was unable to see anything. if the other person were far sighted then they'd be able to see all that information but then everything nearby would become blurry, which could potentially be an issue if you're a window washer, and he has no glasses. not that it's proof of anything. i'm short sighted but never bothered to wear glasses to work and it never interfered.
Language is dynamic, it changes, it's formed by the people that use it, not pedants pretending that dictionaries are prescriptive. In modern parlance, "genius" is perfectly cromulent as an adjective. I know it's really really important to you to be able to tell other people that they're "wrong", but the least you could do is the bare minimum of checking to see if maybe you're the one whose wrong, instead of assuming that language stopped developing the day you finished middle school.
"I'm murdering you, my friend!" is such a creepy sentence to hear coming out of anyone's mouth!
He says it in such a cheerful and gusto manner.
I can’t believe he would be studied enough to say 7 th floor when he said 6th
Right!?!?!?! It was so perfectly delivered too!!!
Cheesy, corny, not creepy.
In the least plausible of ways. How exactly explaining how Monk fell to his death?
Monk has his issues but I can't believe he would be stupid enough to confront a killer alone and turn his back on him.
Well, it's a show and it made it more exciting.
He was in public, he never thought the murderer would try it.

6:38 especially after the killer said "Oh, your partner doesn't know about this...?"
Monk was back on the force and wanted to be the hero.
Oh poor Monk still being the odd one out when he does get his badge back.😢
This ep
2:43 the actress playing the cat lady is Tony Shalhoub’s wife Brooke Adams
Best known for The Invasion of the Body Snatchers also starring Don Sutherland
Loved the fact that Monk always knew the truth and that the killers always gave themselves away cause they thought that they were in the clear. I mean the window cleaner was rich now and A lawyer could explain everything away. Being on the same team was not solid.
The best was Monk's words after that. Something like that:
"Where are you going?"
"I'm quit"
"His story doesn't track. Listen, he said he was on 7th floor..."
6th floor. He said he was on the 6th floor.
it’s always amazing how greed ruins such perfect plans
could’ve just took half and been happy but now locked up broke
I was just watching this episode yesterday! I still can’t believe the reveal at the end
Also Dr. Nichols from The Fugitive
Okay, I'll admit OSHA was right about wearing a safety harness when working high up off the ground.
One of my favorite shows 💯💪🏾
It's Former Former Detective lol
Former Former Former Detective
@@theblitz9 that's right. I missed out the 3rd Former
TOO SOON!!
Lol the scene were Tony's real wife is in this episode as the cat lady, Don't shoot him, "It's a cat?Monk gets confused

The Capital taking the spotlight from Monk. Keep it up, Sir!!!!!
The window washer is also Milos from Seinfeld.
Another game for Milos!!!!
@@FoolishMortal6121 That was the exact quote I was thinking of.
Also Dr. Gablehauser from The Big Bang Theory.
And for those of you really smart people ...that is also Davis from wings @@Jonathanizer

Thank you for reminding me of this ep
Even with his fear of heights he was still able to get back at the guy

He is also in the Big Bang Theory, Dr. Gablehauser, works for the university, fired Sheldon and hooked up with his mother^^

So on the emergency call does monk say officer up instead of offier down? Hehe.
No cop would deny logic to the extent that they call a genius like monk wrong
What the hell was the difference between half and the full massive reward money. An easy getaway traded in for one of the hardest things to get away with.
Stottlemeyer says the guy was on the _6th_ floor, but then Monk says it was the _7th_ floor...
It’s a jungle out there (snaps fingers)

.... a highly realistic piece...
Dr. Gablehauser
MISTER Wolowitz...
8:10 Some friend.
While searching the box monk goes str8 to the ticket book to the ticket with the number lmfao
Well, he looks at the picture, then the coffee thermos, then spots the ticket book.
3:24 that is some awful bad trigger control. That guy needs retraining asap.
Monk should know better than to fall for the 'Who have you told?' line.
They said 6th monk said 7th. Sorry my ocd wouldn’t let me miss it
Why does he need to confront the killer alone and explain how he commited the crime?
Former former detective 😂
I use a pickaxe but I'm innocent, i promise 😂😂
his wife is holding the cat
Such a stupid cliche, telling the murderer how he did "it"
Dont like the way monk was so easily overwhelmed. Love monk, but didnt enjoy that...
I apologize if this has been asked, is that Milos from Seinfeld?
Common misuse of the term "20/20 vision"; it doesn't mean exceptional, merely normal - average if you prefer.
edit: spelling.
i don't think that's a misuse. i think his point is just that he has normal vision but was unable to see anything. if the other person were far sighted then they'd be able to see all that information but then everything nearby would become blurry, which could potentially be an issue if you're a window washer, and he has no glasses. not that it's proof of anything. i'm short sighted but never bothered to wear glasses to work and it never interfered.
Hummm....
@@Skeif13Shortsighted means something else. I think you mean nearsighted.
I know how it will end,i saw it few weeks back. Why do you do that? First you post the ending and now the longer version????
This is the same guy that sucked at Tennis in Seinfeld
Milosh hit rock bottom
"Ingenious", not "genius". "Genius" is a noun; "ingenious" is an adjective. Monk wouldn't let you get away with that mistake and neither will I.
Ignius? A type of rock?

Cool story, Wile E. Coyote. I'm a stickler for language, and even _I_ rolled my eyes at this.
@ scipio488 Well said and accurate 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾
I’ve thought about watching this series a few times, after watching this I’m glad I never did
boooo
The series seemed interesting at the time. However, in retrospect, it's really tacky and poorly produced.
What a load of shite.
