oh man, you can read all the emotions on Dany's face while hearing the audience singing with her. She's definitely not alone. It's sad that Pau and Dany both has each an amazing song that came out from some bad experiences. The best thing is they have us fans 200% behind them when they play the songs. I wish Ale had her own song too, but I hope hers is from a happy experience.
Yes, she did this one too in their hometown of Monterrey and she couldn’t hold the tears of emotion, and I was there to witness that fantastic concert!!! I Love this band. Gracias hermanos por la reacción!!
That's probably my favourite performance from The Warning so far. To be honest it's a lot closer to what I would normally be listening to than the way they usually arrange their songs, and a really good vocal.
This kind of performance won't happen so often at concerts, perhaps in a small setting or on the radio. But the most remarkable and profound thing were her words in between. You can see what kind of contact they want and have with the fans.
Agreed. If the full band version had been released in the 80s power ballad era it would have been in heavy rotation right next to "Alone" and "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" and "Bringin' On The Heartbreak" but imagine if TODAY some genius A&R person paired THIS version with an A-lister in the "intimate confessional" vein like a Billie Eilish or a Lana Del Rey. It would get ten billion hits and make the entire industry stand up and notice The Warning the way they noticed other songwriters-turned-chart-topping-performers like SZA, Pharrell, and Ed Sheeran.
Dany's eyes tell the story of the band's relationship with their fans. Her speech only confirms that. There are fancam recordings of Dany playing this song on her own. The footage tends to be shaky and you mainly hear the people next to the recording device. This is something different.
I was born in Mexico and I'm very proud to finally have a rock group that is becoming more and more popular. This week The Warning is #1 on Billboard. The only thing is that when Dany was talking during the middle of the song I couldn't understand what she was saying. I speak Spanish and the English singing I could hear very well. Probably is a sound quality problem.
@@glennandadriansrocktalk Done in the production process, I'm guessing? I wonder the reason.. Unfortunately, it's what I'm going to remember the most. :[
THIS is why The Warning are so amazing. This is a moment of connection - of communion soul to soul to soul.... Dany is right when she says that singing this song allows you to let all those emotions of despair and loneliness go, because in that moment she proved how we all connect through music. It touches us through her vulnerable honesty so the music launches into our hearts and changes us. As a minister in The United Church of Canada, I have shared Dany's words with over four dozen people mired in their own despair. The most common reaction by far is one of astonishment when they realize their despair and loneliness, their attempts to put on an outwardly happy face, are unnecessary. I am always blown away by the freedom discovered by those touched by Dany's words. Then, when they listen to the song, they, too, are touched and healed - at least for a while.
A special song from a Special Lady! This is, as you said, an unexpected version, but done so well, and with such feeling......It's why we Love them! Thanks Guys!
Dany played it solo acoustic at a performance a few years ago in Canada at a radio station concert. It was just Pau and her, Pau on keyboards and Dany on guitar.
I feel that this is the way the song should be performed and it was very moving. I believe she cried performing this on a different day at The Pepsi Center because there's a video posted by a fan of it.
The best performance of my favorite song by The Warning. I think the slow breaks in- between the killer rocked out songs is a great touch. Maybe even Crimson Queen, and Show me the light along with Black Hole and When I'm Alone. for the Mexico 10,000 seat concerts in April. I believe this might be the last time for the Amazing performance of Breathe. Hopefully not...
Imagine if some genius A&R person paired this stripped down version of WIA with an A-lister in the "intimate confessional" vein like a Billie Eilish or a Lana Del Rey. It would get ten billion hits and make the entire industry stand up and notice The Warning the way they noticed other songwriters-turned-chart-topping-performers like SZA, Pharrell, and Ed Sheeran.

The thing I've noticed throughout this concert, aside from it being top notch, is the smiles on their faces every time the crowd get involved.
There is a reason bands in the U.S. love playing in Mexico, they actually get into the show and sing along with every song.

This is now the only way I can hear this song. Just wonderful, magical.

There’s a change in the sound quality in that section. I put in the subtitles in English at the bottom of the screen

Holy cow...it just hit me what this reminds me of. Paul O'Neil and savatage. Beautiful
This version is just so perfect... on a side note, have you noticed haw easy she hit the notes? Her vocal control has improved every time 🤘
Agree. Was noting that even in recent acoustic performances.

Curious/puzzled at the decision to drop the mic out when she begins to speak to the crowd.

@78Mustang I can just about hear her over her guitar on my phone but like I said using headphones it comes out clear.
@mexicanopolis9390 Some one with a bit more knowledge could tell us. Perhaps it's something to do with frequency. But I'm no expert 😁

I wonder if an acoustic guitar with a bigger body wouldn’t sound a bit better, or if she deliberately went for this rather low resonance.
