However there are only two differences between north and south hemisphere rugby, which are ball handling and game tempo. However these are two massive things that southern hemisphere teams have over the north (not consistently but on average).

completely agree with you there. But how much of that is due to the northern hemisphere conditions. The N. hemisphere teams constantly train and play in conditions where it is not always possible to play a high tempo game with awesome handling etc. Of course this is probably a massive generalisation but the biggest upsets between N and S hemisphere teams have occurred when the conditions have been awful. Take for example ireland v south africa 2009 (I think). What is your opinion?

I don't know, you look at when England beat the all blacks in the autumn internationals. It was just the fact the all blacks got outclassed, you compare their performance to wales in the autumn and its a huge difference. Also cases when scotland beat south africa and Australia, Scotland just turned up. I personally don't know what the answer to it is.
As an irishman watching this, I'm embarrassed... We played one match well and Owens punished us, but we played 2 matches awfully and the all blacks kind of went to town....
