- Today i'm transforming Cheap Paper Lunch Bags into stunning Ephemera pieces for junk journals. I'll be mass making them for my Edith Holden Junk journals.
Over the years i've gathered many supplies and it's time to use some of them up or throw them out of my tiny craft room.
I have alot of cheap paper bags and wanted a quick way to make use of them other than using them for junk journal covers. Join me as i mass make some yummy stuffed paper bags with lots of pockets.

I measured the bags that I have and are much bigger (11 x 5 inches). I'd have to cut them down quite a bit since my pages are just a little over 8 inches tall. The other day I was looking for some beads that I knew I had and, I found some fancy threads, I had forgotten about. I have some more threads that are different, somewhere. I don't have the room to sort things out. Imagine what your craft room would be like if you didn't have everything sorted, that's about what my craft room is like.
I had a smoke alarm instance. I kept hearing my husband's ringtone while he was at work. I looked all through the house and realized it was coming from outside, so I looked everywhere outside. I just set down frustrated. When I heard it near me but upwards. It was a mocking bird. My husband sits outside to smoke, so the bird heard it so much that it made the sound. 🤣🤣 love the project. ❤I've got loads of paperbags.
Aren't birds amazing. The ones round here do alarm sounds as the whole estate had the same alarm when built 😅

Just last weekend on a thrifting and antiquing trip with my daughter, I found a whole box of small envelopes at an Amazon bin store. Those envelopes would be perfect for this project. Thank you Julie so much for sharing. I would never hear my trash bin if I put something in there that beeped. The cans are a quarter of a mile from my house. So we get to haul our trash up the hill to put it in the cans. The neighbors up there would not appreciate that I'm sure. 😂 Yes, we've had up to 100 degrees fahrenheit in the southern US and heat index over 100. And the humidity has been awful. Don't stop waffling, as you call it. I like it and I've missed it.

Sparrows are known to mimic other birds and back in the day were famous for copying the sound of a trim phone! What a great project and so adaptable to all sorts of styles.
I honestly never knew that about sparrows, it is probably them. Back when mobile phones came out and ring tones were all pretty much the same we heard birds doing those😁🤗💜

The sounds of life will be featuring more often now the school holidays are upon us. The barking dog however, I feel sorry for him as is in the house barking all day and in the garden barking all evening. I've considered stealing him and giving him some attention😘🤗💜

Hello, sweetie! So glad you’re feeling better, summer colds are dreadful & no fun at all! I actually watched this the day it came out, but was too tired to respond…but not too tired to order the paper bags!! I know you always say, “use what you have, don’t buy anything”, but I can do what I want, I’m a grownup!! When you say, use what you have, my ears perk up, because you use really cool stuff & I want to have it, too! So, my paper bags arrived today! They’re a little bit different size from yours, but just as cute! I can hardly wait to use them! You’re the best, Julie, take care of yourself! Erica❤

I love this paper bag project! These are the best rub ones!! I have a few and love them!! Also, sometimes as we get older, we develop allergies to stuff we were never allergic to before. You may want to try an allergy pill and see how you feel. I discovered this the hard way. Thank you for your wonderful videos!!!❤

Good Morning Jules, I did not have that size bag, but wanted it to look like yours, so I took a large bag and cut to the size of yours. It worked out perfect. Love that use it or get rid of it thought. I used a bag I had no use for otherwise. Now I am making more for my other journals. I love your idea and your inspiration. Hugs from the US Roxanne

It does get hot here but the difference is we have air conditioning. I understand that you all just have to open windows and hope for a breeze. Big difference! It is 102* Fahrenheit. (38* Celsius) I have my air conditioning in my house set at 71* 🙃

This year hasn't been to bad though and my neighbours trees are growing and providing some lovely shade now.🤗💜

Hey Julie, sorry to hear you've been feeling bad but I am also glad to know you're on the road to recovery. I love this idea and I know I have some of the bags. I'm in Florida right now but I'll be going home to Texas soon. I really need to start crafting again. I keep getting ideas and buy the things I don't already have but then I procrastinate and nothing gets done. Take care of yourself.
