Good comparison and yes the Seiko will always stand above the Casio. Lets not forget the Seiko is quite a lot more expensive. The Casio is a great product for the price point.
Agree with you on all counts, especially like the fact that it's "SOLAR". ALSO, like the Stainless steel SCREW DOWN BACK.👍👍👍 HOWEVER, 😢... A FIXED BASEL??? 😞😞😞
I was so confused between them but after your review i will go with casio, looks great with solar power. The moving bezel not matter for me, thanks for your review. Very useful.
I have a year 2011 G-Shock solar with atomic clock sync and is still running perfect to this day. Same band as well. I wear it all the time. I wear it to the gym work on cars with it I recommend solar G-Shock to anybody. I’m rough on it and you can’t kill it.
@@terrydanks Rotating bezels are so useful. I use one to track a 2nd timezone. But also useful for parking meters (although an alarm is more useful in this case.)
I have both, seiko and casio. More beautiful casio but no the same. Great watch casio but seiko is automatic and a real diver. I like very much calendar complete like casio and his hands whithe and red. For all day casio and for swim or diver seiko. Both are great watches. Sorry for my english. greatings from Spain.
Deciding between Marlin DURO and this one. This one costs more because of the solar power? Will it ever die and need battery? Will it stop charging for whatever reason?
Good question….the battery should last for the life of the watch but should keep it exposed to light from time to time for maintaining charge and battery health. This watch does have a screw-down case back so battery replacement is technically possible if ever needed. Very tough choice vs the Duro though which is more Dive worthy and has a rotating bezel. I still have and highly recommend both of these Casio’s, so you can’t go wrong either way IMO. Thanks for watching!
@@nobetagear I admire your taste, the watch in stock strap doesn't look that appealing, but what's on your wrist is pretty nice looking, any chance u can link me to the strap? cheers
@@DoomBapBellic $140 is a tough number for what this watch is and I'm not sure how that lines up with other choices in your market. Without great lume or a rotating bezel $140 is a bit high in my opinion. Good luck!
Unfortunately the mineral glass crystal is not scratch proof and is also not recessed at the bezel but still a very cool watch... Thanks for tuning in!
Why not just buy the Duro/Marlin??......A screw down back makes it easy to change the battery on the Duro/Marlin....This one doesn't even have a screw down crown....It's a faux dive watch.
Good point, this watch definitely doesn’t check many boxes as a diver but it looks and feels great, keeps good time and no battery changes with the solar.
Duro/Marlin's aren't solar powered. This MTP-S110-1AVCF isn't a Divers Watch so TBH not having a rotating bezel isn't a big deal to me - I wanted a Casio SOLAR POWERED Model . . . .
This watch is a big NO I’d get the 106 before this one no thought into this at all. Fixed bezel and no screw down crown and the 106 at 45.00 has all that. Casio missed it on this one.
Thanks for your comment! This one is definitely lacking those key dive-watch elements for sure and is no substitute for the awesome MDV106 especially for the price. As someone previously suggested in the comments, it would be great to see a Duro with the solar movement of the MTPS110.
Thanks for your feedback, hard to defend the no-screw crown and fixed bezel (…but it’s arguably way cooler than a smart watch with a virtual, downloadable “watch face” :) Cheers!
Seasoned divers don't wear dive watches. Are you a diver? This watch should be perfect for you in the kiddies pool. Utterly pointless, maybe, but for less than a hundred and solar...it's perfect. Go have fun "diving" with an Invicta at that price.
Good comparison and yes the Seiko will always stand above the Casio. Lets not forget the Seiko is quite a lot more expensive. The Casio is a great product for the price point.
This casio is awesome. Light, accurate, thin, looks great. Solar watches are the best.

Just purchased one for about $86. Can not wait to strap on wrist. Nice video.
Awesome, I’m still really enjoying this watch…Thanks for tuning in!
I just purchased the Casio from Amazon for $88. It's super and a quality watch for the cheap price plus solar.
I have just got my Marlin DURO I has just landed from the USA I can’t believe how Good it looks for the price looks similar to the one In the review
I just got the Duro as well, really liking it! Thanks so much for tuning in!
Fixed bezel is a big miss.
Yep. It is in my basket at amazon but that fixed bezel poisons the deal. No sale! :(

I have a 1st gen Seiko Black Monster and a remake of the Seiko Arnie. Love Seiko toughness but I just got this watch and I'm lovin it.
Casio needs to do a Duro in solar...
A rotating bezel is like half the fun of a dive watch, and also functional.
Very good point, thanks for tuning in!
Do you think it possible to put the solar intern of this watch inside a casio duro case ? Solar + rotative bezel 👍

Beautiful watch.. Unfortunately out of stock in India.. Would love to add it to my Duro, MTD125 & 130.
Will there be customs duty for import of this watch in India?
@@CometFire2010 yes. 42%

You should get 20 years or more before you have to change the battery.
Great comparative video ! Nice angles.
Thanks so much for watching!
Thx for the review@
I have one question: do you know the case diameter of this watch, but without including the crown?
Approximately 48mm from outer case to crown. Thanks for watching!
I think the Duro runs laps around this
Definitely not a Seiko 007 but damn nice
Is the lume serviceable at night, ie can u tell the time ? That’s the only thing holding me back from buying the watch😊
Unfortunately the lume on my version isn’t legible after only a few minutes. Thanks for tuning in!
I like your seiko, is this the stock strap though?
Much appreciated, it is an upgraded Seiko band purchased directly from Seiko USA, well worth it.

It looks smaller than I like. I bought an original Duro and sent it back because it was smallish to me. Otherwise it was a beautiful watch.
nice watch, pity about the nonrotating bezel

Nice watch. How much does this watch cost?
$85 to $95 USD from Amazon
Thanks
I wish yo buy this one, but 140$ for it in Germany is too much 😢 or is it ok price?
