I think we need to invest in some new mics for exhaust videos. There is a good increase in sound, definitely more burbles and pops on the overrun too. For an OEM system, in person it’s a very good level without being too much.
Agree, it doesn't sound much different to the stock exhaust in the video. Where did you source the rear spoiler ? I think it looks much better than the large wing that BMW supply as part of their G87 M2 performance parts kit.
I’m person it does sound depose and louder. The tone doesn’t change a great deal which is why it’s tricky to hear the change. We can offer the boot spoiler, this can be as a supply or fit, the part is listed on our website.
I think it looks aggressive and unique. Don't believe I've seen this on a Scion or other cars mentioned in comments. For sound, it's not easy to judge from the video. I drove M2 with stock exhaust and for my taste it sounded very tame even with valves open. There is almost no exhaust noise heard in the car. Not sure if any of the mainstream turbo 6s have a great sound. Would love to experience this performance exhaust in person. To @Carbonwurks - kudos for an awesome video. Great content!
We appreciate the comment, glad you liked the video. The difference is subtle but when you drive the car there is a more noticeable sound change compared to just static revving. Manufacturers have to keep to very tight and strict sound levels these days so it’s always difficult to improve sound.
I need to see a company integrate a proper diffuser with the V orientation, it can be done, and I’d probably see if the exhaust tips could be carbon fibre and a bit bigger to make it aesthetically pleasing 🤔 but it does sound better
I've got a 2025 G87 on order and was thinking about this, but after seeing this I don't think I'll bother. I love the look of the V layout but the sound difference isn't for me, it has that awful Halfords kitted out Vauxhall Corsa 'parp' to it.
I would prefer to change the exhaust system, for example make the muffler smaller, the other exhaust pipes are without a muffler other than everything together it would sound much better
There are some aftermarket options that would offer this type of setup. BMW have tighter regulations to keep to which restricts design and noise levels.
It’s a subtle difference but there is a difference. Turbo soft limiter cars aren’t easy to capture the noise difference off load. More modern cars can limit the noise on static revving, part of the latest Euro 6 compliance sadly.
I think my comment was a little harsh. I'm glad you guys did the video though super helpful to hear and see. Mostly a dig on M performance certainly nothing on you guys! Thanks.
So many guys command that i dont like it... I like original....come on do you guys really got a M car? Lol. Nobody care you like it or not. As a f82 Before and g82 Now Owner. Middle exhaust is a 100% fantastic way to make your M stand out of crowd. (even some M bimmers don't like it simply because of expensive) So hondaer Toyotaer Please keep silence your car is pretty reliable keep it. M is none of your business.
People are often afraid of the unknown or being creative. The world would be very boring if we all liked the same thing. This system looks a bit more exciting than standard, that’s for sure 😀

Their Mic Quantity Is Horrible , That's Why.
valves open before 3:14
valves open after 3:54
yeah the mic isnt picking up much difference if there is any but it does look cool af
Yeah mics weren’t the best with this video but there is an improvement. Style isn’t for everyone but we think it looks pretty unique and cool!

It’s a part we produce so can be done, we don’t currently have an aftermarket exhaust for this version as of yet however.
It sounds better, but not that much better. I do like the rear lip spoiler! Been looking for one for mine and it’s been a tough choice.
In the flesh it does sound a decent amount better. It’s more of a tone change than just volume. Expensive but cool upgrade.
I prefer the original layout 💭
Different strokes for different folks I guess 😀
YOLO tea and toast boy
But yeah agreed. I’d feel like a joke with those
Me too
I agree with the original layout

Always hard to judge sound over video but all the same if it’s not for you, we’ve saved you a bundle 😀😉
Looks AMAZING! You guys do some beautiful work!!😎👍
Thanks buddy! 😀
I'm not sure if it was the mic placement but I preferred the sound of the stock exhaust.
Might be just the mics weren’t dialed in. The M Perf exhaust does sound better in person.
Is that with the GPF in place still?
Just had a G87 with one of these as a loaner for 4 days and it didn't sound that loud
Yes that’s right. We fitted the Genuine M-Performance exhaust on this which has to retain all the requirements to keep it legal on the road.
We need a drive by 😬
Didn’t get a chance sadly 🥲

@@Carbonwurks yeah for the emission shit and something like that 😂
Its not night and day is it really more an aesthetic thing than a sound thing these days

Looks like it belongs on a scion...i like the horizontal layout better.
It’s certainly has got a bit of a Jap feel to it. Quite unique for sure!

Not overly harsh, always good to hear everyone’s opinion regardless what they are 😀
Appreciate the comments all the same 💪🏻
Wow, the original exhaust sounds better. Nothing beats the N55 M2 sound, though.
Mics struggled to pick up the full exhaust noise. Subtle but sounds nicer.
How much does the performance exhaust cost?
Depends on if you’re opting for the genuine bmw or an aftermarket diffuser option. The prices are listed up on our website.
Too damn much, just change the mid pipes, you will get the same results.
Wow… I actually like the original sound and location. Save the 10 Grand
Each to their own 😀
Sounded better before... and carbon rear panel looks odd with nothing else carbon
The whole car has carbon head to toe, not a great deal left that can be carbon!
Νοοοοο original most beautiful 😢
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder 😀
Pcv Valve 😂 2:55
😀👍🏻

Original open valves sound better.
In person, this very much isn’t the case.
Those silly EU filters kill the sound. US models sound much better.
You’re not wrong at all!
So the M exhaust is basically a downgrade
The looks alone are worth doing it! 😉
@@Carbonwurks ye, the switch back to the factory exhaust😂
This M performance exhaust looks way worse in my opinion, but to each their own!👍🏼
its the same hahah
It’s definitely not, mics didn’t really do it justice 😀
You've taken a shit looking car and made it look even worse. That takes some genius to achieve that. Well done!
Take it you’re not a fan then? 😂
But as I’m sure you’ve seen whilst watching it. We took a BMW M2 and fitted the M-Performance parts that BMW make?
@@Carbonwurks agree mate. Not taking a shot at your craftsmanship. Just what BMW have done with this new M2. What were they thinking!
Oof, that's goofy looking.
Good goofy or bad goofy! 🫣😬
meh
😬
Waste of money. It looked better before and doesn’t sound any better.
Sound is a subjective thing but it looks pretty cool. Unique compared to just a standard quad setup.
Wow that sound worse and looks terrible.. what a waste of money
Many others wouldn’t agree 😬
Sounds and looks better before, sorry🫣
😬🫣

Carbon fibre always looks better 😀
sad what happened to the cars with opf🫠
I think you hit the nail on the head there. OPF’s have killed the sound of most modern cars but there are ways to make it sound better.
Looks like Mazda Miata
Perhaps if you are heavily inebriated yes… 😂
How long does it take to replace?🤔
About 3-4 hours. Not too bad!
