it's nostalgic, but depressing at the same time. my body just can't handle this anymore. my mind can see it, i know what i'm supposed to do, but my body won't keep up. it's hard to imagine it being 20 years already.
I played the other night and all the children at Dave and Busters were really impressed! But afterwards I literally could not catch my breath for 10 whole minutes and I hand to go outside in the cold and lie down on a cement bench for a while.
I ruined my friends life twice. He introduced me to Smash Brothers. I beat him that same day. This, it took awhile, but this is the song I beat him on. He dropped up, looked up at me and seen me still going. Never happened before. He was kinda pissed. Don't blame him. Took just about everything. I would feel bad but his rage made it worth it.
Probably my greatest accomplishment in my prime. The jump streams were annoying, but that 16th note spam towards the end was always FUN to do. It was easily readable for me, and I was able to move as I needed.
my father owned the arcade room at bangor mall and i played the hell out of ddr extreme when we first got it, i remember this song echoing through the mall... :)
This has to be, and always will be, my favorite song of all DDR songs.. just sums up my childhood, and getting into drumming from this. Such a tune, just makes me wanna beat the shit out of everything!! haha
Uh. Ahem. WOW. I know I'm really late to the "Sampling party" but I just now found out that both Capcom (Devil May Cry 4, Frozen Frog) and Sonic Team (Sonic Rivals 2, Chaotic Inferno Act 3) sampled this song. And.... well....... *HUH.*
***** Sample-Ception ....sampling a sample of sound that sampled from a previous source of sound, that also sampled a previous source of sound.... Xzibit: "yo dawg, we know how much you like ddr, so we sampled someting into ddr so we can sample it into dmc4 so you can ddr while you listen to ddr that came into ddr...." Me: da faq...??
just so awesome, love this chart and song, easy way to determine if you are ready for other heavy charts, just hard enough its a challenge to new players, so well designed.
the heavy on this song was ridiculous, arrows just flying across your screen, i was like genuinely how can you sustain that rhythm for the entirety of the song its insane!
I remember walking in the arcade near my high school after class and seeing these two girls from my class absolutely killing it on that song, uniform skirts flying in every direction and shit. I was in absolute awe lmao
this song is absolutely evil it starts easy and slowly gets harder as it progresses. it’s a matter of stamina once you reach 1:27 on heavy, but still so much fun and such a good song
I still remember the first time I was going to clear this song and a friend of mine jumped in front of me and started dancing right as the last jump section came in. The song failed maybe 3 steps from the end... I may have freaked out. I apologized to them shortly after and I believe I completed it the next day.
I thought, when I first played DDR Extreme, which this song was on, this song was scary. I always looked behind my back to see if anyone was ready to kill me or something. Don't question it, because I can't give you an answer of why.
Up left right down up left right down 😰😰😰😰😰😰 🤯☠️ Now spin till your drop or bust a hip trying to do it without a bar. The pain was far worth it getting to hear this song all the way through
Naoki's the man.he made this song, matsuri japan,Orion 78,healing vision, higher, baby baby gimme your love,b4u and many other songs.desire, divas, revenge,&s,nm and nmr are his alter egos
So I tried this song a few weeks ago, on Heavy, no less. It wasn't that bad. The jumps are pretty fun to do, but the last stream of death can be annoying. Can easily A this thing. Honestly, So Deep and Cartoon Heroes are on leagues of their own when it comes to 9 footers.
Maybe it's not so much getting the steps down since, as you said, it follows the melody religiously, but it IS an incredibly tiring song, which means that an out-of-shape sack of flesh won't be passing it any time soon. And getting a good PA on it is a bit of a bitch, too. Cartoon Heroes, however, is the devil incarnate. It's probably as tiring as So Deep.
+rmnhn I dont know if you remember Cant Stop falling in Love Speed Mix On Extreme. but that song was also on its own league. and one of my favorite DDR songs of all time
+rmnhn I dont know if you remember Cant Stop falling in Love Speed Mix On Extreme. but that song was also on its own league. and one of my favorite DDR songs of all time
UlquiorraRocks4 I miss being comfy with 1.5x -_- I ended up practicing songs like Maxx Unlimited on 2x and now everything looks so slow that I miss arrows.... I have to play Drop Out at 2.5 just to read it now. :c
I made a custom chart for this song that was so brutally hard it would probably be hard for even the likes of FEFEMZ and iamchris4life to beat. I could never do it on foot, I actually made it specifically to make playing on controller harder when my pad at home broke and I was saving for a new one. It would probably be a 19 by today’s ratings, maybe the ending would warrant a 20.
@MammaleousMaximus i remember 7 or 8 years ago, when i used to play that level on foot (like in person).. i almost sprained my ankle trying to pass the level no matter what, even if i got a D in it. And i used to play on Trick level ( the medium difficulty). I never realized it was that hard, like even the best person in my town who plays on the Maniac level played 'Drop out' on Trick level. This is a nightmare when you play it on foot, but in the end its worth it somehow
The song that taught everyone what the bar behind you was for.
only people who played DDR look for these songs xD
No shit Sherlock
completely right lol
Yep
Played the top tier :p
Actually I came because of Frozen Frog, from DMC4
it's nostalgic, but depressing at the same time. my body just can't handle this anymore. my mind can see it, i know what i'm supposed to do, but my body won't keep up. it's hard to imagine it being 20 years already.
Stepmania my dude. Keep the dream alive.
Hey hey now, even in my prime as a teen I had to work up to songs like this. You can do it
Yeah just wait for 30. :/
My feet hurt doing this at 18-19 back then. i can only imagine the pain now.
I played the other night and all the children at Dave and Busters were really impressed!
But afterwards I literally could not catch my breath for 10 whole minutes and I hand to go outside in the cold and lie down on a cement bench for a while.
Such hardcore PTSD. My 25 year old legs still feel my 15 year old legs tensing up to do the Heavy-mode Jumps.
I ruined my friends life twice.
He introduced me to Smash Brothers. I beat him that same day.

This sound is cake lol try fascination maxx on challenge lololololololololololololololol
fuck that it's the stream afterwards that gets me
you poor souls are not ready for ENDYMION
Lol I remember suffering playing this at 15, now I’m 29 and PFC no problem.
The energy! You can feel it pumping through your veins! these songs are genious to keep you moving at the beat.
Drop Out was definitely 1 of my top favs 100%. God i miss the DDR days
this song lives up to its name. it's the ultimate go-to if you want your opponent to "drop out"
Probably my greatest accomplishment in my prime. The jump streams were annoying, but that 16th note spam towards the end was always FUN to do. It was easily readable for me, and I was able to move as I needed.

Lol i know right. Could be the instrumental sound sample in general though, not exactly the song itself...
Yeah, I guess. -maybe THIS song had sampled a PREVIOUS one?! WE MUST GO DEEPER O3O-
***** Sample-Ception ....sampling a sample of sound that sampled from a previous source of sound, that also sampled a previous source of sound....

Xzibit would be proud of us right now. "I heard you like sampling songs so we sampled a sample so you can sample songs while you sample a song"
Isn't Dialga's cry from Pokemon the same sound from this song too?
Just played this track on hard - its one of my favourite charts now.

My favorite song to play on heavy on DDR Extreme, i always loved the part with the Double.
My first Doubles 9 (old school scale) in DDR that I passed. It was on a 5th Mix machine and I ran out of time and the game auto selected this song.
I can't get over how weird this is. It's even giving me goosebumps.
I love the dmc4 frozen frog theme I just had to find the original
this song is absolutely evil it starts easy and slowly gets harder as it progresses. it’s a matter of stamina once you reach 1:27 on heavy, but still so much fun and such a good song
LOVE IT! Gets so crazy.
Is that Heatran...?
思ったよりヒードランで草
1:20 Then the game killer kicks in. This was always my final song when I'd play in hopes of pulling that bit off.
**Spins around the pad like** What!
No really, you can get dizzy playing this song properly.

Getting all the jumps right on heavy for the first time
Feel like master of dance.
I still remember the first time I was going to clear this song and a friend of mine jumped in front of me and started dancing right as the last jump section came in. The song failed maybe 3 steps from the end...
I may have freaked out. I apologized to them shortly after and I believe I completed it the next day.

I remember I used to have that game for Christmas 2007.😀😀😀

It's interesting because it resembles the Pokemon Heatran bark.😂
no.
this is such an awesome song this is like the 100th time playing it today :)
I thought, when I first played DDR Extreme, which this song was on, this song was scary. I always looked behind my back to see if anyone was ready to kill me or something. Don't question it, because I can't give you an answer of why.
My thoughts exactly. This sounds like horror movie music. Seriously.
Plague Doctor Because it sounds scary & ominous as hell!
im blown away by the view count on this. glad the nostalgia bug bit us all just as hard.
ヒードランよりこっちが先よね。
ヒードラン聴いた時、dropout思い出したわ
I remember being blown away by how fast the step chart was for this song way back when, lol
This song actually used to give me nightmares but I still love it.
Is it just me, or does this sound like Heatran's cry?
Oh my god, now I'll never unhear that.
@@hiimemily Damn it, neither can I.
wtf
@@mkwstar If you play Pokemon, you'll get it.
@@melvinshine9841 i did get it, it just completely surprised me. I heard this song probably about 50 times and never noticed
cada vez que intentaba la canción a los 30 segundos me desmayaba del cansancio en nivel experto, de broma en la dificultad básica y de milagro.
Loved this song it was always my final song when Im going to leave after playing a bunch.
heatran don't need no autotune ‼️‼️🗣🗣🗣
Always play this track as my final track....the movement is killing me

Dude, I'm looking the samples like crazy.
BreakBeat Paradise is broken and I'm trying to look for the "Heatran cry" specifically
jump jump jump at the end
My calfs and shins..... still hurt, man.

so much fun to play, classic
You can hear Heatran (a Pokémon)from 00:16, can't you?
same sample as heatran's cry from pokemon
I love the American Football intro. To me, its better than hearing Monday Night Football's theme.
This is some Solo Mix/4th Mix Plus gold.
1% dmc4 comments 98% This brings ptsd the other 1% Pokemon cry related
This is that good youtube duality
lololol collapsing to the ground as the song ends " did I pass it? did I pass it????" when learning it on max =P
I came here from Devil May Cry 4 (Bael bossfight)
I always thought that it was a mosquito and not a guy falling down -___-
damn it, after so many years I realize.
Why can't it be both? And I totally know what you meant. I thought it was too when I first played the song.
I know this is almost a decade later but this is one of the funniest comments... I could just imagine your moment of realization when it hit
@@gonzo_o_o thanks for reminding me of this great song
Heatran's theme
Heatran has the perfect body for DDR

Can easily A this thing. Honestly, So Deep and Cartoon Heroes are on leagues of their own when it comes to 9 footers.

I never thought So Deep was hard. In fact, it was my first 9-footer to full combo. The steps are synchronized to the melody.
Maybe it's not so much getting the steps down since, as you said, it follows the melody religiously, but it IS an incredibly tiring song, which means that an out-of-shape sack of flesh won't be passing it any time soon. And getting a good PA on it is a bit of a bitch, too.
