To be successful using any technology platform, it is important to learn the ins and outs of that program.
How/Where to collect email addresses from customers
1) At Checkout (there is a preselect option)
2) From Homepage (have a better CTA, call to action, than just "newsletter")
3. Import Customer List (you can upload CSV. files directly into Shopify's email marketing tool)
Segmentation: you are able to email a specific group of customers. There are several different filters.
Email segmentation is crucial. You want to send the right customer base the right message.
Double opt-in is used to help verify your email subscriber list.
It is a simple process to unsubscribe someone from your email subscriber list.

Enjoying your video, - just one thing, quite often you say 'we'll go 'here'...' which can be tricky to follow as you have to search around and see where your cursor ended up - would be easier if you say the actual name of where you're pointing to. couple of times i've had to go back and try find the spot! Great video otherwise, and hope you don't mind the suggestion! :)

I have a question - I hope you can help me with this!! I started an email campaign with 70 subscribers. I deleted it and switched to an email automation with scheduled emails for my new subscribers. However, the original 70 subscribers are not receiving the new automations. How do I add these to the new automated emails? Thanks in advance - your videos are so helpful!

You would have to create a new segment for each person. You might have better results emailing directly from your non-newsletter email provider.
