Well, considering in the ocean there are an enormous variety of terrifying animals that can kill you without you even being able to see them, and space is mostly empty to the point that you'd most likely die of old age before encountering any other life forms, I think it's a pretty logical thing to be more afraid of the ocean than outer space

      Sharks actually don’t prioritize humans.
Also, those “piranhas that have eaten cow carcass in a minute” were intentionally contaminated and starved by locals to show them to the US president and create that fable of “river monsters”.
In reality, you can swim even with sharks and piranhas and almost never have problems.
In actuality, most animals just mind their own business and humans are of a much lower interest to them than they are to us.
Anything that is starving with attack anything else. Hell, when humans are starving, the resorted to cannibalism as well. Sharks are no different.

In the mid ocean, unlike school of sardines, to spot & to dispose of requires some specifically adapted traits. A nice dinner table suitable for sharks. Perhaps, orcas could participate in it. Clearly visible bite mark, big chunk of meat ripped off, indicate how effective their feeding apparatus on an occasion like this. At first, one by one, then the member of dinner club increases. Seemingly, they're of good table manner. More than enough volume, no need to waste energy. A curious scene (how the staff spotted?).
I wonder if they come back or follow the carcass, staying close. Unlike terrestrial carnivores, they keep swimming away for another opportunity perhaps ..?
