    I love your channel as I just finished my 1st year natural and you are almost identical to my hair type as I am also 3c/4a fragile fine hair high porosity. Learning to deal with the frizzness is the hardest

      Me too. I just found her channel. I get excited when I find youtubers with the same texture and porosity as me. 3c/4a high porosity mid density. I deep condition once a week. And after styling I'll use a sealing oil. When I was younger I used too much product so I find minimal product to be the best. Hot oil treat as needed as well. Shampoo I prepoo, and then shampoo with dr bronner's mint wash x1 to get rid of buildup, and 2 more times with a shampoo w marulla oil. Condition x2 rinse jojoba or mielle mint and almond. Scalp feels cleansed but not dry or too product. Perfect base for style. I then follow with a cream and mouse or style with a cream

    Hi my Lil Chili Pepper glad to see you're feeling better 😸 Remember hair growth oils don't have to cost a lot. Begin to become familiar with Auyervedic Herbs, and infuse your own oils. Not only will you find tremendous hair growth quickly, but you'll also delight in saving a pretty penny. Until you become familiar with Auyervedic options you can simply create your own hair growth oils. Just use 100% Organic Oils, and Essential Oils which stimulate hair growth. Great examples EVOO, Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, Grape seed Oil etc.

      Howdy Shelly 😄 Yes, I am feeling much better. Thank you! ; I definitely appreciate the reminder that I can make a hair growth oil right at home. I bet it's even more rewarding when you see those results because it's something that you put together on your own. I'm going to stick with the Mane Choice oil because it's still working well for me, but it's nice to know that I could whip something up for hair growth as well. Thank you for always coming through with the DIY gems Shelly. ❤️❤️❤️

Any other suggestions for growth oils without coconut oil would be greatly appreciated.

      Aww thank you Rina. I truly appreciate your kind words. I tried to look my best for the video. ❤️ I've heard other high porosity naturals mention to me that their hair doesn't like Coconut Oil. I always suggest trying Palm Kernel Oil instead because it contains Lauric Acid just like Coconut Oil. So, it might give similar results. I still have to try it myself though to see how the results compare. I do like Avocado Oil as well. It's lightweight and repairs damaged hair like Coconut Oil. I hope that helps!

      Nooo don't take it back! 😫 lol. It's a fantastic oil for hair growth! I definitely feel like my hair growth picked up again once I started incorporating it into my routine. I can't say how it is for softening the hair because I only focus it on my scalp. However, I have used olive oil as a prepoo in the past and it definitely softens the hair. If you're looking for something to help soften your hair prior to washing it, I would suggest olive oil. If you're looking to grow your hair, I would say go with the Mane Choice Growth Oil instead. I just want to know why you don't condition your after shampooing and jump right into deep conditioning

    • @AfroKhadisiac
      @AfroKhadisiac  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's not necessary for my hair type. A daily conditioner is made to quickly condition the hair, adding moisture to the surface. Deep conditioners are made as treatments that you must leave on for longer to infuse the hair with moisture & strength. Since my hair is high porosity, I prefer to deeply moisturize as well as repair. If I use conditioner AND deep conditioner on the same wash day, my hair would not only be weighed down (fine hair) but it would also be over moisturized, as my hair type doesn't know when to stop absorbing moisture. It can easily be overdone if there's not enough protein present to balance everything out.

    • @AfroKhadisiac
      @AfroKhadisiac  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Natural Beautiful Curls! 👋🏾 Yes, I skip conditioner completely and go straight to deep conditioning after I shampoo. I do this for a few different reasons. 1. I don't want to weigh my fine hair down with conditioner and deep conditioner afterwards. 2. I like to focus on repairing my high porosity hair during wash day and I feel like the best way to do that is by deep conditioning for at least 15 mins. 3. My favorite deep conditioners have enough slip and moisture in them, so I don't find it necessary to incorporate a conditioner in my routine. It's definitely a personal preference though. There's no right or wrong answer, just what works for you! 💗
